Hair loss is very stressful for children and their parents. Children can be insensitive when it comes to their peers and especially about such things as baldness. Ask them to speak with the rest of the children and explain the situation to the class. Often times this will lessen any teasing your child may receive. Just as children an be cruel, they can also be extremely understanding and supportive once situations are explained and they have a chance to become accustomed to the changes.
