[C310]Causes Of Yeast Infections
by James Penn, Jam
-Vaginal yeast infections are caused by little nasties called Candida albicans, which are present in your vagina. If the yeast multiples it will generally turn into a vaginal yeast infection.
-This multiplication is caused by a change in your vaginal environment.
-Increased heat, sexual transmission, changed sugar levels and your hormones can cause a change in your vaginal environment.
-Antibiotics can often be the culprit of a changed vaginal environment.
-Non-cotton clothes can also change you vaginal environment and provide a nice place for bacteria to grow. In this case you should avoid non-cotton underwear and be weary of stockings. In some case you might find it beneficial to go completely without underwear.
-Chemicals can also change your vaginal environment. Chemicals can be found in the inks and perfumes in your clothes. Perfumed toilet papers can also be favourite of vaginal yeast infections, as well as scented pads and tampons.
-Using condoms when having sex can also change your vaginal environment. The lubricants that condoms are packaged with are the main culprits. There are several condoms on the market, which are not paired with chemicals and lubricants.
-There has been some evidence to suggest that if you cut yeast products down or out of your diet you are less likely to find yourself with a vaginal yeast infection.
-Others have found that cutting down the amount of sugar in your diet will also lessen your risk.
-Birth control pills and natural hormones can also put your vaginal environment out of wack.
-The uses of steroids (even people who use them for arthritis) also experience more vaginal yeast infections then those that don't. This can also be seen in people who use steroids for asthma experience yeast infections in their mouth (from their puffer).
-Injury to you vagina (or vaginal area) can also change you vaginal environment. So if you have a rather rough sexual experience you need to ensure that you are suitable lubricated.
-Vaginal yeast infections can also be transmitted sexually. Males can carry yeast infections and many do not show symptoms. Lesbians also have many problems transmitting vaginal yeast infection to each other.
-If you have a weakened immune system because you have other concerns you are also open to a vaginal yeast infection. In this case you need to be weary.

Yeast infections in women are caused for a number of reasons. Here, we will specifically discuss some of the overlooked elements women face daily There is a cause of every yeast infection, and once the cause is discovered the treatment is a lot easier.
Sugar consumption
The Candida Albicans yeast loves sugar! Candida also like feeding on most refined carbohydrates. Our modern diet that is filled with sugar and refined carbohydrates creates a perfect environment in our intestines to help the Candida mutate into a fungus. The Candida drives you to crave the things that feed it best. People with systemic Candida infection often crave foods such as sugar and white bread. Fizzy drinks and alcoholic drinks are part of the cause of chronic yeast infections in women as well.
Douching
All healthy women have bacteria and other organisms in the vagina. The balance of these maintains a normal acidity in the vagina and acts to prevent overgrowth of specific organisms, leading to symptoms of a vaginal infection. Douching not only disturbs the normal vaginal environment, but the ingredients in most commercial douches kill off the healthy bacteria in the vagina to begin with-causing yeast infections in women. There is no reason why any women should need to douche as the vagina is self cleaning.
Chemicals
Perfumes, dyes, detergents, and inks have a huge impact on causing yeast infections in women-a cause that women widely overlook. These compounds can upset the chemical balance in and around the vagina making it a better environment for the Candida yeast to breed. The list is endless for the many products we use on a daily basis: perfumed toilet papers, fabric softeners, synthetic underwear containing dyes, fragrance-laced laundry detergents, perfumed and scented soaps, bubble baths, perfumed bath salts, feminine deodorant sprays, scented tampons and sanitary pads, etc, etcThis isn't all bad news as there are plenty of alternatives you can use when it concerns anything that can cause you to suffer from recurrent yeast infections.
Every yeast infection has a cause, and getting to know these causes will help you make informed decisions: These decisions will help you to prevent any infections in the future.
