Web Marketing - 4 Ways To Create Traffic Through Social Channels
by Jackie Lee, Jac
Here are 4 ways you can use social networking to drive traffic to your site. Remember, consistent daily action is required.

Create Viral Ebooks

Creating a viral and/or rebrandable ebook is a great way to create value and drive traffic. All you have to do is write a few articles on a topic related to your site.

Once your articles are written make sure you have included links to your site, and to any related and helpful products. Once that's done you simply put them together and then format them into a pdf.

If you are going to make the report or ebook rebrandable you will have to get software to do that and to send withthe book so others can rebrand it with their own links.

Giving away free ebooks is smart, especially if they are informative and well written. People tend to wonder if you are giving away this much for free what do you offer on your site, and will stop by to find out.

Squidoo

Squidoo is a large community of webpages, called lenses. It is free to join, and free to create lenses.

Each lens, like a camera, should focus on something specific. You can add text, affiliate links, pictures, video and many other things to these lenses.

Squidoo is well regarded by Google and easily takes the front page of the search engine results with minimal promotion.

By building lenses on topics related to your blog you can quickly and easily drive more traffic back to your site.

Hubpages

Hubpages is very similar to Squidoo. You get to build a free web page that includes information, pictures, videos related to your topic.

You can also include a couple links back to your site, or related products. Hubpages is a little more strict about their links so make sure you read the rules before you begin.

Hubpages shares the adsense profits with you from your hub, which earns you a little money while you drive traffic to your site.

Social Networks

Creating profiles on sites like Myspace and Facebook can quickly drive traffic to your sites. You must be active in these communities for this strategy to really work.

If you are active and let people get to know you, you will find many of them want to know more about what you are doing. Once someone wants to know more about you, they will click the link you have provided to your site.

As you can see these strategies take more energy and effort, but that effort will pay for itself in traffic.

If you are going to use social networking to build traffic remember, it's something you must keep doing consistently. You can't just put up a page at Myspace and expect to get traffic. It's no different than putting up a blog and expecting people to come.

You will have to get out there and interact, add friends, build your brand, let people know you are there, and help others out. This will be what attracts others to you and drive you traffic.
