Reducing Cholesterol Naturally. Your Life Depends On It
by Peter Clark, Pet
High cholesterol is a common condition that affects both men and women. Since high cholesterol can cause a person to experience heart disease, and ultimately in some cases, death, it is so important to try to lower it. What many people do not realize is that reducing cholesterol can be as easy as eating the right foods.

Here are some of the different foods that you should be sure to eat if you would like to reduce your own cholesterol. There are many foods that reduce cholesterol if included in your diet regularly.

Now of course it isn't just a change of diet that reduces cholesterol, there are other things that you can do as well. Exercising regularly is important, and there are some very good results being reported with natural cholesterol lowering products as well. But good diet is very important.

Keep in mind that there are two types of cholesterol, LDL and HDL. LDL is referred to as bad cholesterol. It causes plaque, which may prevent regular blood flow. HDL prevents plaque and reduces your risk of heart disease, so it is referred to as good cholesterol. Foods that reduce cholesterol will not only help lower your LDL, but they will also help increase your HDL as well.

If you are interested in reducing cholesterol, the first type of foods that you will want to add are ones which are high in soluble fiber. Citric fruits, berries, oats (including oatmeal and oat bran) and beans are great sources of soluble fiber. Other foods that reduce cholesterol which you will want to incorporate in your diet include leafy green vegetables, whole grains, nuts and all types of fruits.

Some of the different foods that you should avoid eating if you are interested in reducing cholesterol are ones which include high levels of cholesterol, trans fat and saturated fat. Fast food, junk, red meat, poultry, egg yolks, foods cooked in oil and mashed potatoes are just some of the different foods that you should avoid if you wish to reduce LDL cholesterol.

The main key is to avoid all of the foods that you already know are unhealthy. Now of course you really know, deep down, which foods you should avoid. That doesn't mean you can never have them again, just make sure they form a small, occasional, part of your diet. Be sensible.

Decreasing your cholesterol can be as easy as eating foods that reduce cholesterol. On a similar note, it is important to keep in mind that you will also want to exercise on a regular basis if you truly would like to reduce your cholesterol.

Although it may seem very difficult, reducing cholesterol does not need to be. In some cases, making a few simple dietary changes and adding regular exercise to your routine may help reduce cholesterol and, ultimately, heart disease.

And there is one very good company currently offering some wonderful and completely natural cholesterol lowering products, and I'll bet you've never even heard of them.
