To be honest Nutro is a poor man's healthy recipe, as they use meal instead of real meat pieces.

Nutro does not use human grade ingredients like other premium brands do.

There is no way it can be described as human grade dog food.

True, it probably does not share the same price tag either, but there are many other healthy dog foods on the market, if you want an alternative to a brand like Nutro.

In my opinion, Natural Balance dog food is the best choice and it can be purchased at very fair prices.

Brands like Natural Balance and Blue Buffalo dog foods are not in the came category as Nutro, as they contain higher quality ingredients.

It is probably on a par with many of the Waltham dog food brands such as Cesar, Chappie, Pedigree etc.

Brands like Waltham and Nutro aim to provide healthy nutrition in a convenient way.

Although Nutro is an inexpensive food, you may end up paying more than you bargained for in the long run.

Bones and Raw Food is available in frozen form, and it is quite evident that BARF is the best food that you can feed your dog.

However, this diet is a bit high-maintenance and might not be for ever dog owner, so your next best choice is to select a dry food like Natural Balance premium dog food, which contains only fresh ingredients that are of good enough quality to be consumed by humans.

This food is rich in nutrients; it is made with protein from top quality meat sources and includes none of the following: by-products, corn, wheat, gluten, soy, artificial flavors, artificial colors, sugars, or artificial preservatives.

Nutro cannot compete with this as it does use wheat, and its ingredients are not human quality meat.
