Origination Of Ficus Tree
by Jason Hobbs, Jas
The Ficus tree is a species that possess around 800 genuses of timbered trees, creepers, and bushes in the family of Moraceae, which is an inhabitant of the tropical regions with very less species expanding into the humid climatic area. The Common Fig plant is one of the most usual genuses of the Ficus trees. The plant of the Common Fig generates a viable fruit known as the fig, the fruits produced by several other species of the Ficus are safe to eat, but are not consumed viably. The Sacred Fig, i.e. (Bo or Peepul) and the banyan tree are other examples of the figs. A majority species of the Ficus are evergreen, whereas certain species from the extreme climatic zones of long humid season are observed to be deciduous.

The Fruit:

Basically, the fig is bloom of the Ficus tree, but most often, it is considered as a fruit. The Ficus tree produces this unique kind of fruit that is termed as forged as well as dual functional fruit, in which the seeds and the blooms grow simultaneously to create a single bunch. The fruit of fig is obtained from a uniquely adapted kind of configuration arrangement of the blooms. This specialized arrangement of the flowers is known as syconium. Hence, the original blooms of the fig are hidden unless the fig is sliced. In China, the Ficus tree is defined as the tree of fig fruit without blooms. A small opening at the origination end can be seen on the syconium quite frequently of a bulbous shape for admittance through the pollinators. The blooms of the Ficus tree are most often pollinated by very tiny wasps that creep through the opening in exploration of a proper location for resting their eggs. The Ficus tree is unable to replicate the seeds without the assistance by this pollinating agent. In order, the blooms of the Ficus tree offer a secured shelter and sustenance for the next gang of the wasps. Theoretically, a fig fruit is considered as one of several mature, seed-containing blooms that are found within the blooms of a Ficus tree.

Historical Importance:

Recently, in 2006 June, it was stated that the origination of Ficus tree dates back some 11,400 years. The Ficus trees were first explored at Gilgal, a village of the Lower Jordan Valley, which is at a distance of 8 miles to the north of the older Jericho. Certain evidences are discovered that illustrates that the Ficus tree were the very first plants to be nurtured, as they were of alteration types that are able to replicate usually. Further, it is also believed that, the Ficus trees were rooted and nurtured quite purposely. It is also believed that the Ficus tree is blessed to the Dionysus Sukites.
