Most people thinks that affiliate marketing don't work because they have never made a single sale online after placing several hundred dollars of advertisement through Google PPC campaign. I have to break the number one myth that most newbie in affiliate marketing have: Affiliate marketing is a business that can make you big bucks simply by placing any PPC ads and someone will always click on your ads to buy from you and you can make money easily without any effort. I personally hope that this is true but if it is that easy, everyone will be a millionaire by now.

However making money online through affiliate marketing is not that tough either, here are the steps you can take to make your first 1,000 online. All you have to do is to stick to this plan for 45 days and you will see it come true.

1) Set up your auto responder: Having your own list is the only way for you to make money online. If you are serious about becoming an affiliate marketer, you should concentrate on building your list. To build a list, you definitely need an auto responder service and they are several good auto responder services in the market and if you are still not prepared to put in money into this online business yet. You can sign up for those auto responder services that give you free trial.

2) Pick 3 affiliate products that give you at least $40 commission per sale to promote: You can go to clickbank.com to find 3 products that suit your niche and start promoting them through your auto responder

3) Write your emails for the products you are promoting. Write at least 3 follow up emails for each product

4) Set up a clean and simple opt-in page: A clean and simple opt-in page converts better than those complicated one

5) Commit to writing 10 articles a day on your niche and submit them to the top 5 article directories everyday for 30 days. This will drive laser targeted visitors to your opt-in page and eventually converts them into your list.

6) You will make your first 1,000 simply by making 25 sales.
