Neuro-linguistic programming or NLP is a communication model that is inter-personal in approach. The subject is encouraged to modify and specify goals by the therapist. All this is now part of a practicing therapeutic discipline that is known as Neuro-linguistic Psychotherapy or NLPt.

The application of Neuro-linguistic programming is now being successfully in business communication, management training, and sales and also within the world of sport. Except for the application of Neuro-linguistic programming techniques such as anchoring, reframing or therapeutic metaphor, the applications can be adopted and practiced beyond the therapeutic setting.
