For those that are looking to relax and unwind then you are only a short distance away from the Peak National Park. But the town it self also has some beautiful parks and woodland which one can enjoy as well. As you will soon find there is going to be something that will tempt you to visit this city time and time again, and it is not just the warm Yorkshire welcome that the people provide you with.

1. Abbeydale Picture House ? Originally built back in 1920 this is the largest of all the cinemas in the city as well as being the most luxurious. Today after money was spent of refurbishing the building after it was closed in 1975; it is now used for live music events and also contains a snooker hall.

2. Bishops House Museum ? This is the best example of a timber-framed house in the country and is situated in Meersbrook Park. Although the view from the outside is fantastic, the interior, which dates from the 16th Century, is somewhat less so. But the recreation of how life was like in Sheffield during this time has been meticulously done.

3. Bramall Lane ? This is the home of Sheffield United Football Club also known as "The Blades" and is able to hold 30,000 people comfortably. As well as a tour of the grounds why not arrange to go to one of the home games and you will not be disappointed. Certainly if you can arrange to be at one of the derby games which is played between the cities two teams (Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday).

4. Devonshire Green ? If you are looking for somewhere to laze away a few hours on a sunny summer's afternoon to Sheffield this is the ideal spot. It is located in the centre of the city and close by you will find shops, restaurants and bars. Often throughout the summer months, many music festivals and craft fairs take place in its grounds and also a specialist skate park is set up at this time of year as well.
