One of the most horrible job that people seem hate to do is to repair house. This is because it requires many of special skills and tools even though it is just a small repair. Even though there are so many DIY techniques available on the internet but the fact is many people still reluctant to do the repair by themselves.

Particularly for some part of the house like kitchen. Kitchen is the room that I would say that is the most complicated among other rooms in the house. This is because there are many kinds of furniture and equipment inside the room, which have to accommodate many functions such as cooking and dining. A lot of advanced equipment and electronic appliances are also in the kitchen such as oven, microwave or smoke blower. Therefore, many of home owners seem to prefer to hire professional to take care the kitchen work rather than doing by themselves.

However, for some type of furniture and appliance that you can fix or repair by yourself. They require only basic skill and simple tool to use. For example, let's have a look at the kitchen cabinet. I think it is the most simple furniture that we can fix without hiring professional. This is because the general type of damage occurs to cabinet are lose of handle or misplace of the shelves etc. Sometimes you may want to replace the cover or cabinet handle to match to other furniture, then you can simply do it right away.

The tool that you need may be as simple as only few different size of screw drivers. Because fixing or replaceing cabinet handle is all about matching the size and use screw driver to secure the knots. However, there may me more complicated work, which sometimes you may think it is beyond your capability to do.

For example, if there is leaks on your kitchen tap. Of course that this kind of work is a bit more difficult and complicate, but it is still under your capability to repair by yourself. But you may need more tools and equipment for this job because it involves with many kind of equipment. Firstly, you have to survey for the clue of leaks, to find where is the leak marks. This step is quite simple as you can open the leaking tap and adjust the volume of water in high level and notice the position where the water is leaking out. This method normally be done because we can not see the the leaking mark very clearly by visual. After you find the leak, then you have to design the size of those leaks and see whether it could be fixed or replaced. Because sometime the large leaking marks may not be fixed and you have to buy a new one and replace it. In case if you decide to replace the new one, the job will become more easier, you just need to remove the whole set and replace the new one by using the same pattern of assembly but if you decide to fix it, you may have to do a little bit more work.
