Forgery Is A Crime And Not Worth The Time!
by Daniel Millions, Dan
Your term paper is overdue, you don't feel like working, and you don't feel like making a trip to the doctor's office for a doctor's note. When lady luck has failed you thus far, and you're looking for an easy way out, there comes the need to obtain a fake doctor note. The question is whether or not forgery is a good idea.

Obtaining Fake Doctor Is Illegal

Forgery is a term long associated with crime. If you aren't hip on the forgery laws, then you should know this illegal. Therefore, we can't recommend forging a signature of a doctor. Not only could you face legal trouble, but the aftermath could even result in affecting whether or not you obtain a job (depending if the case appears on file and is associated with your name).

Nevertheless, there are reasons where a forged signature would be needed. In some cases, there are loopholes where forgery isn't exactly a crime. For instance, you might have just returned from the doctor's office and checked the paperwork, only to realize the doctor never gave you a doctor's note to turn into school or to your work! If this is the case, then writings down the doctor's name on any of the paperwork received will suffice. If asked, you were not imitating the doctor's signature- merely writing it down to remember which doctor it was that you went to.

Although forgery holds dangerous consequences, that doesn't mean vast majorities of people haven't perfected means of making the perfect forged signature. Electronic machines and computer programs have the power to duplicate a certain signature for use in fake doctor notes. Yet, there still remains the fact of consequences; but what kind of trouble can a forged signature create?

Consequences of Obtaining a Fake Doctor

As we stated earlier, forgery can very easily get one's life into a rut. The penalty is different for several circumstances. But as a show of severity, forging a prescription can land up to 8 years in jail, and a fine of $25,000. Of course a fake doctor's note would likely not push anywhere near the maximum penalty, the fact remains that it is still quite dangerous.

What makes forgery associated with crime so often is the fact that it is often accompanied by other dangerous acts- such as stealing one's identity. But in all actuality, forgery is just a misdemeanor. Even still, it is a serious crime that should not be taken lightly.

Because of the possibly grave consequences of forgery, this leads those seeking a fake doctor's note to other solutions. Surely, there are much safer solutions than going to jail for several years or paying thousands of dollars in fines. And of course, the fact that a job could be lost because of such a crime is a rather big deterrent.

Final Thoughts on Obtaining a Doctor's Note

If you're in need of a doctor's note, think of forgery as the very last resort. And even in this case, the circumstances must be just right for the act to not be illegal. It is recommended that other types of fake doctor's note be investigated, so that no legal trouble may come into play. After all you just want to get out of school or work for a day, not put in jail!
