Fatcow Review
by Eddie Moses, Edd

FatCow is certainly one of the most decent UNIX shared hosting companies in the world. I am saying that since they offer reliable hosting, for quite affordable rate. The company was born in 1998 in the great state of Massachusetts (north part of the United States Of America) and the rest of the company achievements is pretty much a history. The company have grown with a dedicated group of talented believers (engineers, customer service, technicians, etc) in the notion that simple, old fashioned service and value still ring true. FatCow Inc has focused its entire company on delivering the best value and customer service experience in the shared Web hosting to the small business user, and medium size users.

It is not recommended to use FatCow hosting for very high traffic websites since their servers are usually shared among 5-20 customers. Sharing a server, and receiving a high traffic volume may lead to very low response in your server, which may mean that you are losing money. If you have high traffic website, you may have to consider using hosts like RackSpace (quite pricey). However, if your sites get less than three thousand visits per day, fatcow server should be able to handle this amount of traffic. If you get anywhere between three thousand visits to ten thousand visits, you may consider virtual private host (VPS). We strongly recommend Linode VPS. However, if you get more than ten thousand visits, you really have to use dedicated server like Rackspace.

So, why I do like Fatcow. It is simple, for their great plans that include: unlimited disk space, unlimited bandwidth, free domain name, simple to use site builders, easy online store tools, blogs, photo galleries, legendairy support service. You can host as many domains as you want on one single shared hosting plan. Many of us owns many small sites that get little traffic, we can not afford paying for multiple hosting accounts. This is why Fatcow allow us to host as many domains as we want. Furthermore, their customer service is awesome. They provide fast, very responsive help and they know their work well.

FatCow utilizes two data centers in the Boston, MA area (near their HeadQuarters). Combined, they occupy over 2500 square feet of space, comprised of over 800 Servers and half a Petabyte of storage. Each center is equipped with: 7/24 security, Both data centers run on N+1 power (both A/C and D/C), and have the same network architecture and equipment. I mean they are doing their best to offer highly reliable web host.

Trying FatCow is a great idea for several reasons. Firstly, they offer you 30 days full refund. I mean, you do not need more than 1 week to make a decision. They are offering you whole month to test them and decide if fatcow for you or not! Secondly, they are a great host with a great shared hosting plans. Thirdly, they offer you a domain registration for free for life, I mean you register your own blog forever for free.

Try FatCow today.
