Website Conversion – Turning Lookers Into Doers
by Simon Eder, Sim

Website conversion is simply the act of turning the visitors to your website into customers who access your products or services. This is very important to businesses. It does not do any good for your business if you have two million visitors to your website if only five of them buy a product. You need to make those visitors into customers or your business will not thrive. There are many ways that you can improve your conversion rate. You must simply take the time to make it happen.

Be Honest, Create Trust

One way to increase your website conversion rate is to be completely honest on your website. If you are going to start carrying a product in four months, tell the customer on the website that you have that particular product coming in two months. By saying that you have a great new product “coming soon”, you could be misleading your customers. Soon is a relative term and when those customers come back to your page every day for three weeks looking for the new product, they will get irritated enough that they may never come back to your site again. They will simply find the product somewhere else.

Give Options to Get Conversion

Another good way to increase your website conversion rate is to offer a variety of ways for a person to purchase a product on your website. I can't tell you how many times I have chosen to take my business elsewhere when certain payment options are not available. Many people are just as picky as I am and refuse to give out certain information on a website, no matter how secure that website promises to be. In order to get that customer to purchase a product from your website, you need to offer them a way to pay that is compatible with their lifestyle.

Call to Action at the Start and End

Make sure you include a call to action. A call to action is basicaly a direct request for action. Eg: "Ring Us Now on 1300 000 000" or " Fill in this form now" You need to include the call at the begining of you blog or article and the last thing item on your page.

Add More Content and Product Names

While not every trick of the trade will work on every customer every time, there are so many ways out there to make your website user friendly and help to increase your website conversion rate. Allowing customers to choose from a variety of payment methods and always being completely honest and not vague are only two of the ways that you can make this happen. There are many others, such as adding a lot of information on your products to your website. Adding more content helps customers make up their mind. If a customer finishes their product research and decides to buy will buy right then if you make it easy. These things can all help you turn those visitors to your website into customers of your business with no problem!
