Sometimes the question might better be, can you afford not to move? Moving to a new job in a new location, in a new city, state or even a country can be a hard decision to make at times. What are the things we move for, it's important to answer these questions for ourselves before we pack up and relocate especially with a family.

Some of the common things that we are willing to move for might be a new hopefully better job with more money or better benefits. A new house, better living conditions for ourselves and our families. We move to be close to those that we love, often in retirement. Some people move merely to make a change and break up the rut of routine they feel their lives are in.

Some moves are of a more somber nature that might be as a loss of a job, loss of a family member or the need to consolidate when the children have moved out and are on their own.

What ever the reason for moving, we need to make smart decision when it's time to move. Decision on how and when to move are things that should be considered carefully. If given the choice, to move ahead, except for extenuating circumstances, we would choose to move to better our lives if possible. We all know that life is an uncertain game at best, and not all things go as planned.

But Proper Planning can help to Prevent Problems during the move and later in life as well. We might not think of it in these terms, but to make a bad move can have as much of a detrimental affect on our lives as a poor career decision. Where we live, the home we live in affects every aspect of our life. This is not to say that every one needs that big fancy house on the hill, but we as humans need to have that feeling of comfort.

It is important for us to be able to relax and feel safe in our home, our domicile where ever or what ever form that takes. Home is the place everyone should have to escape to from the forces of everyday life that we all face each and every day
