The tag is a simple, small piece of HTML code that places a link back to Technorati with keywords relevant to your topic. For example:



That would link back to Technorati if your blog happened to deal with examples. Of course that isn't VERY likely unless you're giving examples of certain techniques or whatever, but either way, you NEED to have these tags.

Why do I need these tags you ask? Because when you place these links back to Technorati, it ties your Blog down with that keyword, so when people search for the keywords listed your Blog will be listed within the search results.

Why don't I just place a million tags? Similarly to Google, if you have a whole bunch of keywords they will consider it SPAMMING. Be sure to only choose keywords that are relative to your topic to prevent getting suspended or even banned.

How will this increase my traffic?
