Some countries, such as the United Kingdom and Germany, do not allow the practice of bowhunting. Other countries, such as New Zealand, require permits before one can bowhunt legally in the country. Still other countries, such as Australia, make use of bowhunting in order to control some animal populations, while prohibiting the killing of native animal species.
