Todays business world is changing very quickly and you will need to keep up to stay ahead of the crowd, perhaps these suggestions can help. If you are not already using the internet you will soon want to be as this is the next very large advertising medium. If you have a web site, that is good, but I must ask you, how many sales are you getting from that site.If you can't honestly answer that to a specific number you could be doing much better.
Many years ago a gentleman named John E Kennedy spoke these words "Salesmanship-in-Print" These words said back in 1905 have never been more true today. Kennedy went on to be one of the most well known and highly regarded copywriters of his time. If you really want to increase your client base you will want to adapt to the new ways of doing business in today's world.
1. First you will need to create or have someone build you a Direct Response Web Site. These sites are like having a sales person on staff, or an action demanding site rather than just a pretty site that just keeps your name in front of the people. You can do this yourself if you have time.
2. Secondly you will have to learn how to capture the potential and current clients e-mail addresses. There are proper ways of doing this, so people will give up their e-mail address to you. You can offer a gift or some special item for a discounted price. There are courses given on how to effectively build a list of repeat customers that you can sell over and over. With this list you can bring your business right into their homes on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly schedule offering your specials and discounts to your best clients. This can be done through typical e-mails or through very well created e-mails that your clients will want to open and read. This also can be done with brief video, sending people to your web site for further explanation.
3. Thirdly you will need to learn how to set up an auto responder for your e-mail campaigns. Auto responders are just that. You pre-record your messages for up to a year in advance so you have the time to go about the rest of your business.
4. Next you will need to learn how to turn walk by and walk thru traffic in your store into buying customers. We have all seen pet stores where people come in, look at all the new little animals, and then leave without buying anything.
5. If you don't have a store but are in a home based business or home based service company you will need to learn how to co-op market. Working along with your suppliers can be a big help.
6.You will want to learn how to create videos and then download and edit your video and then create an end loop DVD to play in your store and what to put on them, which produces the best results you want.
7.With the internet medium you are not limited to cost as it is in radio and TV, which can get very expensive and you are soon forgotten when your ad is over. You will also be able to stay in front of your client with tips on "how to" for whatever you are selling. It doesn't matter it is.
Once you have set all this up you will want to test to see what works for you and what isn't working as well. My name is Dan Shirley and I encourage you to check out the URL below for further information.
