There are even several different kinds of windows that can be used for promotional purposes. The windows of someone's house, business, office or car are all places where promotional items may be displayed. The following are some of the items that are effective for window promotions.

Window clings

Window clings are plastic decals that stick onto windows by static cling. They have the advantage of being very easy to move or remove at any time; perhaps if you want to move them to a different window or from your house to your car. Window clings are very popular for certain seasons, which by their nature are temporary. Your favorite team decals can be displayed during football or baseball season, or your school decals can be displayed during championships. If you are a local business person, you can give out window clings supporting the local team but with your sponsorship noted on the decal. This way everyone associates your name with community support and team spirit.

Decals are different from window clings in that they are actual stickers. This can make them harder to get off if you want to do so, but it also ensures that they stay firmly stuck to your window. You can use these stickers as parking permits for school or corporations, to signal work that you have done on someone's home or car, or to convey your support of a group or organization. These decals come in almost every shape or size, and for almost every window available. You can also get them with the adhesive on the front, for sticking across the inside of the back windshield of your car or across an inside window for outside viewing, or with the adhesive across the back, for sticking on the outside of the window.

Banners

It is very easy to get banners custom made to promote your business' opening, a special or sale, or a new product. These can be hung across the front windows of your establishment to be easily read by anyone who walks or drives by. They are often seen bearing such bright messages as “Grand Opening!' or “Back to School Sale!” in large and brightly colored letters.

Sun shades

Another large area sign that can be put in your window or your customers' windows is a sun shade. These are folding lengths of cardboard that can be placed across the inside of a car's windshield to keep out the hot rays of the summer sun. While the sun shade is sitting there across an empty car, it could be doing double duty by promoting your business or displaying your logo.
