Is Article Marketing The Targeted Traffic Tool They Say It Is?
by Riley West, Ril

Let's say you want to sell an Article Marketing Course. Let's also say that you have the course up on a website ready to go.

Article marketing is part of Internet Marketing (IM) and the most important concept in IM is Traffic + Conversion = Sales. I don't mean to get too basic, but...

Conversion is converting a "looker" (traffic) to a buyer. A good salespage can do that.

But wait...the salespage needs traffic.

But it can't just be any old traffic. It has to be traffic that is specifically looking for what you have.

In other words targeted traffic.

It's the old "Get a good offer in front of the right eyeballs and you got 'er going...if you got enough eyeballs."

Back to how it works.

If an article is constructed correctly and placed on article directories such as Ezinearticles, it will get picked up by Google and others and offered up in the SERP's. (Search Engine Page Results.)  Google loves relevancy more than anything, so here are the things to do to insure relevancy.

There is a concept I call the "relevancy chain".

A searcher (potential customer) types "Article Marketing" into Google. The search results for Article Marketing may well include your article you submitted to Ezinearticles about Article Marketing.

The resource box (about the author) points the customer (link) to right where you want them (your webpage offer called "Article Marketing for Targeted Traffic.") for example.

This is a hot concept. Article Distribution Sites like Ezineartcles and GoArticles are searched by the millions. So, insert an article that sorts out those people that would be willing to buy what you have to sell. Simple, right? Yes! Sort of...

What I wanted to do here was present a picture of article marketing that hadn't been seen before, in an attempt to simplify the process. So I'm going to repeat it. It's worth it.

1. Write a good (optimized) article. It's content is to attract the type of people you think would be interested in your offer, or, better yet, BUY your offer.

2. Google will serve it up to people looking for the content you put in your article.

3. The article drives the traffic to exactly where you want them. I prefer a salespage selling a product tailored specifically for these searchers. (high conversion rates)

If the article content pretty much matches up to the salespage content the relevancy chain will not be broken because the targeted traffic was looking for just that!

This article was optimized for Article Marketing and Targeted Traffic. And check this out...that's what you typed in when searching! Or something close.

I hope this helps. It helped me. I can vouch for it.
