Just an observation! My wife insisted that we should have a house alarm fitted for security reasons about 5 years ago. It was also a stipulation of our insurance company that the alarm should be in place and operational so that we could avail of the special premium price quoted to us. We also have smoke alarms as stipulated by the insurance company but none of us smoke! Ha! Ha! So we paid approximately ?1000 euro to have our home fitted with a security alarm. The technician showed us how to operate the alarm coding panel and tested it for us. It worked perfectly. Nice job I said as I waved him and my ?1000 euro goodbye. My wife seemed more relaxed now that we had our new home alarm system. Now what I must tell you about our security system is this! Our security system is so good that you don't have to key in the code to set the alarm, when you leave the house. My wife drops the kids off to school and never sets the alarm, she goes to the shops and never sets the alarm. In fact she thinks that the alarm unset is so good that she does not even close the front or back doors with the key. The last time I hear our alarm sound off was when we had a breakdown in our electricity supply and the alarm roared for approximatley 1 hour and 20 minutes, the reason for this is that it has been so long since we set the alarm that we cannot remember the code! We don't have a dog, or a mother-in-law to protect the house, so can somebody tell my neighbour 5 doors up who always set their sophisticate i-touch digital electronic super duper alarm and exterior sensor lights, and leave the rottweiler in the side alleyway by the locked gate, and have been burgled no fewer than 7 times in the last 2 years, that maybe not setting the alarm might be better. I think the burgulars like the challenge of beating the system, and the dog! Thanks for reading.
