Business gifts are perhaps the most important part of a business; especially an online business. When you are running different businesses online and selling products with those businesses, what you are going to want to do is to have two types of business gifts that you just give away. The first one is of course going to be what you give away in order to get a person to sign up to your auto responder and the second is a series of gifts that you might give away in addition to the product that you are selling, just as a tease to entice more people to purchase from you. Now, what you can do is either buy these gifts elsewhere or if you're short for cash you can go ahead and make your own business gifts.
Now, there are these two types of business gifts we've been discussing and if you run a business, something you are going to want to be aware of is the fact that the gifts themselves should have a specific purpose and that purpose should be driven by what you think the customer's frame of mind will be when they deal with those particular gifts.
For example, your first gift to the customer should be something you give them in order to get them to sign up for your auto responder. In most cases, this type of gift will be something that they can use in order to get themselves acquainted with what you talk about in your product. For example, if your product is about writing, then the two most likely gifts you could offer at this stage would be either a multi-part e-mail course on writing tips or alternatively a short e-book with the same type of content.
The types of bonuses that you offer as a pot sweetener for the actual sale should have a different purpose; they should compliment the main product in some way. So for example, if your product is about how to do a specific type of affiliate marketing, then a good set of bonuses to offer along with it might be e-books that deal with other types of affiliate marketing. This way, a person could read through all of them and start marketing a specific product with a number of different strategies. In this case, the bonuses make sense because they already compliment the knowledge that you are selling. Always keep your customer in mind when doing anything, because that is ultimately who makes you money.
