Constipation & Hemroids
by Juliet Cohen, Jul
Constipation is a symptom, not a disease. Constipation is a common disturbance of the digestive tract. Constipation also requires an immediate assessment if it is accompanied by worrisome symptoms such as rectal bleeding, abdominal pain and cramps, nausea and vomiting, and involuntary weight loss. The most common symptoms of constipation are infrequency, irregularity or difficulty in elimination of the hard faecal matter. More serious causes, like colon cancer, are much less common. Constipation occurs when the colon absorbs too much water or if the colon's muscle contractions are slow or sluggish, causing the stool to move through the colon too slowly. As a result, stools can become hard and dry. More than 4 million Americans have frequent constipation, accounting for 2.5 million physician visits a year.

Hemorrhoids is a common condition. Hemorrhoids or varicose veins of the anus and rectum are enlarged bulging blood vessels located inside or outside the anus. Hemroids are commonly knownz as piles and it is caused due to the swelling of rectum veins. The main problems arising out of hemroids is the pain and the bleeding that is associated with the disease. While the pain causes a physical problem, the bleeding can become a social embarrassment because the blood may pass through the stool. There are two types of Hemroid that is internal and external. In case of internal hemroids the veins are damaged due to the improper digestion and extra mass of veins bulges out of the anus along with stool surrounded by the blood.

Internal hemroids on the other hand are found inside the rectum and needless to say, since there are no symptoms from the outside. When the hemroid appears outside the anus it is referred to as external hemroids. This is easier to identify - usually from the bleeding and itching. This happens from external hemroids and not from the internal type. Hemorrhoids can be mild in the morning and become extremely uncomfortable in the evening. When the internal hemroids extend to such an extent they jut out from the anus, then they are known as prolapsed hemroids or prolapsed hemorrhoids. Amoils offers all natural treatments for common conditions and ailments using essential oils. Hemroid symptoms are primarily noticed at rectum and adjoining areas.
