Corporate bodies have undertaken to operate a management system to enhance the standards of dental care and service provided to patients. The system applies to all aspects of our provision of quality dental care within a pleasant and professional environment. Our standards of care and service are monitored regularly to ensure that standards are maintained and improved upon wherever possible.
ISO 9000 is the internationally recognised standard for an organisation's internal Quality Management. The term 'quality' refers to all those features of a product or service which are required by the customer.
An organisation's 'Quality Management' refers to an organisation's actions to ensure that its products or services satisfy its customers' quality requirements and complies with any regulations applicable to those products or services.
ISO 14001 was first published as a standard in 1996 and it specifies the requirements for an organisation's environmental management system. It applies to those environmental aspects over which an organisation has control and where it can be expected to have an influence.
1.1.1 Communication of the Management System The management system is described throughout the manuals and is taught to staff at the practice meetings. Regular updates will be given as the system evolves.
1.1.2 The Levels of the Management System The management system can be seen as consisting of three levels. The first level contains general points and overviews. The second level contains detailed work instructions and level three contains our in-house forms. Note that there is also a practice opening manual, a practice design manual and the head office manual. A quick reference manual is made up every six months. This contains computer fee codes and the latest laboratory directory.
Closely following the system will result in a successful practice and the provision of high quality dental care and service. The manual is complimented by in-house training and regular updates. The centre manual contains the dentist, dental nurse, receptionist, hygienist and practice manager guidelines.

Dentists have the chance to enjoy the clinical and intellectual aspects of dentistry. They are encouraged to further their education and, if so inclined, to specialise.
