When you think of taking an exotic vacation, you're most likely thinking Mexico, Thailand, or the most common one, Hawaii. Why not do something different and visit the middle east? No I am not talking about Iraq or Egypt, but places such Dubai. Isn't the idea behind a vacation to get away from what you're used to and do something you don't do every day?

It is interesting how the general north american people have taken on the assumption that the middle east is this fallen behind war torn part of the world that no one should visit. It might be the case in a couple of those countries, but it most definitely is not the case in Dubai.

It might be hard to believe, but in recent years, Dubai has become the city of Gold. It is by far one of the richest countries in the world and it shows. In fact, a lot of hotels and other businesses in north america are being bought out by rich Saudi princes, a lot of which are from Dubai. Money really is not an issue for them.

Speaking of hotels... I can't think of a place in the world that has more luxurious hotels than Dubai. Just think about it... here we have this filthy oil rich country that will settle for nothing short of the very best. They will not spare a dollar to perfect everything. Its like the days of king Salomon all over... just incredible architect and unbelievable sceneries.

Because of the rapid fame Dubai is gaining with all the different shows and events they are putting on, they quickly had a major shortage of hotels. To make up for this shortage, a great number of investors started offering their apartments on the holiday villa and apartment market, which has proven to be an incredible success for them. Not only them though. Because this concept became so popular, group tourists and family vacationers are now getting the full Dubai experience at a much more affordable rate.

Even though staying at an apartment can easily save you up to 50% of what you would pay for a hotel room, you still want to shop around and look for a good deal. Vacations in Dubai are not exactly cheap. But as they say: You get what You pay for. It really is worth it and if you are careful, your dollar can go further than expected.
