The Ford Tempo, A dying breed? Forget about it! Ford Tempo owners are some of the toughest S.O.B.?s walking over here! It's no secret buddy. The Ford Tempo is the type of car that will be rolling well into the future for another 30 or 40 years, easy. If you're driving one, then you got some style my friend. I got respect for you. If you aren't driving the toughest car ever made, there'll be other chances to get in the family, if you're lucky. Hey, maybe one day we'll come and ask you for a favor. Just remember, once you're in the family, there's no getting out.
As for my boys, my Ford Tempo owners...
You and I, we're a lot alike. We both like the finer things in life. The things that have that inner beauty that only a few can see. The older and the wiser always have something the young do not. The older and wiser have knowledge and experience. We know the ropes. Threw the 80's and early 90's, The Ford Tempo Family ruled the road. Ford made a total of 2.5 million Tempos in there 10 year run, from ?84-?94. That's a lot of cars over here! We had to whack the Ford Escort Family before we got to take over. We've been passing cars and giving the finger since 1984.
And nobody can ever take that away from us, as long as we do our part and keep our cars alive and rolling. You and I, we got that special something nobody can take away from us. It's that special something that when people driving next to us in there Beamers and Lexus? notice when dey look over, and see us rocking our wife-beaters, mirror-tinted shades, and rings around every knuckle. What it that special something, you say?
WE ARE FRICKING AWESOME OVA HERE!!
Let me be the first to say...Welcome to the Family. Forget about it.

What color is the fluid under your car? Yellowish green, pretty blue or neon orange colors indicate an overheated engine or an antifreeze leak caused by a bad hose, water pump or leaking radiator. A dark brown or black oily fluid means the engine is leaking oil. A bad seal or gasket could cause the leak. This is how many cars meet their demise.
A red oily looking spot indicates a transmission or power steering fluid leak. A puddle of clear water usually is not a cause for concern. It may be normal condensation from your vehicles air conditioner. Do you smell burned toast? This odor often signals an electrical short and burning insulation. Have someone come look at your car. Dont drive it anywhere until the problem is diagnosed. How about the smell of rotten eggs? This usually indicates a problem in the catalytic converter. Get to a repair shop!
A thick sharp odor usually means burning oil. Look for the sign of a leak. This problem needs to be addressed immediately if having transportation is important to you. You may also notice a bluish smoke coming from your vehicle.
The smell of gas after a failed start may mean the engine is flooded. Wait a few minutes and try again. If the odor continues, there may be a leak in the fuel system a potentially dangerous problem that needs immediate attention.
A chemical odor may mean overheated brakes or clutch. Check the parking brake. Stop and let the brakes cool after repeated hard braking. Light smoke coming from a wheel indicates a stuck brake. Call a tow truck.
Do you notice a sweet odor? This may indicate a coolant leak. Watch your temperature gauge and warning light and drive to a repair shop. Now, if you see steam from under the hood, stop and pull over. If you keep driving an overheated vehicle, your engine will be seriously damaged. Call a tow truck.
The basic rule of smell is that if you do notice an unusual odor, get to a mechanic or get one to come to you. A little extra attention to what is coming out of your car or truck could save you the cost of a new vehicle payment! Keep those eyes and that nose on the job!
