But, I think that if we were chatting with semi-reasonable people, most could agree that an important facet of competition was the pursuit of the event. Meaning that the ultimate ends or goal would not necessarily be who has the honor of standing on the middle box with a gold medal around their neck, but rather having the honor of knowing that a worthy competition was provoked and an ultimate respect for the game and all its competitors was maintained throughout.

Do you feel like that? Maybe. Maybe not. And that’s unfortunate. It’s unfortunate that there is even the possibility that there are so many people out there who do not agree with the aforementioned persepective on the value or competition. This certainly seems to be the case with a certain population of RuneScape players.

The players themselves, who engage in illegal cheats and scams, are as equally as guilty of bringing down the level and value of the competition as the hacks that sell and share their RuneScape Macros and other 3rd party software. Those who choose to wander the lands of RuneScape using macros, are akin to someone entering a marathon with their Ducati 900M. If you do not like the rules, find a new game.

I salute all those that do not. I also offer my respect to the RuneScape staff for maintaining the constant battle against the purveyors of Macros and Bots, in an attempt to offer a game that has captivated the minds ad attention and hundres of thousands around the world that want nothing more than to engage in healthy competition, in its truest form�"with fairness and respect.
