Deductive thinking represents reasoning from the general to the particular (from major to minor, from cause to effect). Deductive thinking is particular for choosing the most likely and reasonable path. A deductive essay should therefore indicate the most reasonable and logical conclusion basing on the set of initial information. Each paragraph of the deductive essay should concentrate on a particular fact, analyzing it in detail and finally, developing a logical and sound conclusion. It is ultimately important that the conclusion elaborated in the process of deductive thinking is not absolute, as it is based primarily on the writer’s emotions and life experience, which gives way to appearance of erroneous concepts. Any deductive chain should be carefully considered and reconsidered before the final conclusion is formulated.
