Yummy ice creams & new love for the meals. Must try fish apricot
just patronized the store at the Tampines outlet. great food with prompt service staffs. love the ice-creams there. :)
Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh...We don't even have to try, it's always a good time here at Swensen!:)
This is a great ice cream parlor for classic flavors.
for ice cream lovers , must try ice cream at Swensen's :) . They have many kind of delicious ice cream .
I love the Swensens' salad at Ion, especially Caesar Salad with chicken. I usually add parmesan cheese on it to make it more delicious.
This caesar salad is nice. It is very fresh and healthy. It\'s been a long time i dint try so nice salad already.Although the ingredients just simple. It still taste nice. This spaghetti is nice too. But it is quite heavy and large in amount. I really feel full after finishing it. I like the sauce of the chicken. It make the spaghetti taste special. The crabmeat also match well with the spatghetti. It\'s really a nice try..!
Headed to Tampines to check out the Hokkaido Fair during lunch hour with colleagues and decided to have lunch at Swensons. There is currently a promotion - order a main/sandwich/pasta/pizza and get either a side dish, ice cream or drink free. I ordered a Tuna Ciabatta and my colleagues ordered the salmon/mushroom pasta. The tuna ciabatta was very good... generous amount of tuna, side serving of boiled veggies and the ciabatta was toasted to perfection! Light and crispy! I\'ve always only associated Swensen\'s with ice-cream and not so much for food, so it was pleasantly surprising to find one of the best sandwiches I\'ve eaten in the past year or so here! Both my colleagues had the salmon / mushroom linguine, and while they both thought it was ok, they agreed it was rather bland. Since all of us needed a coffee boost for the 2nd half of our work day, we decided to skip ice-cream and had coffee instead. One of the rare times I\'m at Swensen\'s and not tucking in to their ice cream ( my fave Coit Tower!!) All in all, a pleasant lunch, although the air-conditioner was blasting in certain parts of the restaurant. Restaurant staff were generally good and friendly, and the first waitress who seated us was patient and allowed us to find a section where it wasn\'t so cold. Only 1 senior manageress or female supervisor was a tad "hoity-doity" when we were asking about our bill and the lunch promotion. Strange, the younger servers were all smiling and friendly, and they are supposed to be learning from their Seniors. Well, in this case, I hope not.
Second time dine here with friends to celebrate my birthday. I ordered Pesto Salmon and BBQ Chicken Pizza. When the grilled salmon was served, it was small in portion. It was grilled salmon topped with pesto sauce, served with mashed potatoes. First bite, the salmon was not bad, fresh and tender. Personally, if the pesto sauce can give more, it would be nice. The mashed potatoes was average. The Pesto Salmon was average. The BBQ chicken pizza was served pipping hot and taste good. It was loaded with ingredients, and it\'s juicy and flavourful. The grilled chicken chunks were tender and chewy. Cheese was also plentiful and complemented the mild tomato base and really goes well with each other. They were very generous with the ingredients.
After having my dinner, I went over to Swenson\'s for dessert. I wanted to try something different, different from my usual Frosted Chocolate Malt, and since I love Oreo, I chose the Oreo Frozen Yogurt. It was oreo frozen yogurt mixed with a little Strawberry frozen yogurt and topped with one mini oreo. Well, it was nice, but I couldn\'t really taste the strawberry and oreo. It didn\'t taste either, rather something else. It was sweet, and although I couldn\'t really taste the oreo, it was nice. But as it was dessert, I was really full and I found the portion really big. Maybe next time, I would have this as dessert when I am really hungry, (:
This types of ice cream cone is immediately available in their fridge daily. The big scone of the ice cream has really impressed me and to my curiousity, I decided to give it a try to see how different is this as compare to those scoop upon your order ice cream.Realised that the ice cream has been coated with a thick layer of crunchy dark chocolate that really enhance the taste of it.The ice cream is smooth and creamy and love those crunchy waffle biscuit cone that taste equally delicious as well.
This is one of the best seller and popular dish at swenson.Always heard from friends on how good and delicious this plate of noodles is and decided to give it a try. With no surprise, this noodles really taste very nice. The noodles are chewy and portion is very generous.Love those really fresh crayfish used in this dish which the crayfish meat is very juicy and sweet. The tomato paste used in cooking this dish also blend in really well with the noodles as well.
I was very glad that I have acquried the Swensen\'s card. It was pretty worthy card. It gave you a free coffee/tea everytime you visit the restaurant. You could also order any drink from the menu at $1. This time I asked for caramel coffee float to go with my grilled salmon. When they served me the drink before my meal, I was a little frustrated. They could at least ask me whether I would like it served before or after the meal when they were taking my order. Isn\'t it normal to serve dessert or coffee after the meal?I really didn\'t like to have sweet stuffs before the meal, it would definitely spoil my appetite. Really in a dilemma, to drink or not to drink? Well, at least they didn\'t let me wait long for the main couse to arrive. Taste wise is just ok.
Bruschetta, an italian cuisine. It is basically just toasted Italian bread drenched in olive oil and served typically with garlic or tomatoes. The bruschetta found in Swensen\'s is serve with tomatoes and a little bit of onion. However, the bread is a little too hard, so sometimes, my teeth hurt a little. But, it is nice. The tomatoes are well done and the bread is tasty. Together, they make a perfect bruschetta. This meal comes with 6 bruschetta, which is a little too much for a small eater like me, so I would eat 3-4 pieces and give the rest to my mum and dad. THey would also say it\'s really nice and there would love to have more, but there were already feeling full. Next time, maybe we can eat a meal is Swensen\'s oredering only Bruschetta. Good Idea. I would consider it! (:
This ice-cream buffet will definitely be loved by those who have sweet tooth. The buffet spread is filled with lots of choices of ice-cream, waffles, biscuits, cakes, pastries and wide range of sweet toppings to go along with your sweet desserts. The restaurant looks nice and bright and not too crowded within the seats. Great hang out area for family and friends gatherings. I believe this may be one of the best range of ice-cream buffet in town right now as the choices for your selection is really wide and interesting.
We went to the Swensen\'s near our house for a simple lunch not too long ago. My mum had the regular pizzawhich was very cheesy and great while i had meatball baked rice which i have yet to eat for a long time Food was served quite quickly and the food was very nice. The baked rice is fragrant Yum Yum!! We just did not like the raisins that were in the rice. The pan pizza was great but its just too small for the price !
i ordered an extremely sinful dessert at swensen’s. when I arrived, part of me regretted why I ordered it and the other part was bursting in joy. I ordered their sticky chewy chocolate ice cream. The entire thing is made of or coated with chocolate. It was definitely sinful but I guess it was worth it. The ice cream was the sticky kind, it was very rich in the chocolate flavor. they topped the ice cream with chocolate fudge, so fattening but so delicious. Even the cherry was coating in chocolate. But as a whole it was so good, worth the fats.
Swensen\'s ice cream is delicious. I love their ice cream. their ice cream is always rich in flavour and creamy too. This is their chewy chocolate. It is indeed very chewy. I love it as their chocolate taste is very rich. It does not taste like normal chocolate!!! Theirs have an indescribabletaste. Every bite, the ice cream always can carry off their chocolate flavour. Even though there are no cookie or nuts in it, just eating it like this is already simply delicious.
When I go to Swensen\'s, I would usually get the kid\'s meal as I think the adult portion is a little too big for me. This time, all the kid\'s meal came is a pirate ship. And since it was on the pirate ship, it would come with either corn or mashed potato. However, I didn\'t know we had a choice of mashed potato, so I didn\'t say anything, until my meal came with corn and I asked if it could be changed. Of course, it was changed and I had my mashed potato. Well, for my meal, I chose the spaghetti bolognese. I like spaghetti, but the spaghetti at Swensen\'s isn\'t that nice as the sauce is very watery and the meat is very soft. However, it\'s still nice and I still enjoy eating spaghetti there. As I found the ship really cute, I kept it and gave it to my nephew, while my brother kept it to play. However, I think it\'s quite a waste of paper, making so many ships when people would end up throwing them away.
If you noticed, a lot of restaurants started to serve breakfast on their menu nowadays. Now you can find so called "angmo" or western breakfast easily in the morning. A good change from the usual Asian breakfast that we usually have at hawker centres or coffeeshops. The breakfast set at Swensen came with a free coffee/tea and a fruit juice. Breakfast was nice except for the scrambled eggs which was on the dry side.
Located at the Toa Payoh Entertainment Centre is the family restaurant Swensen\'s. The mention of the restaurant you probably will associated it with the famous Earthquake icecream. Lately Swensen has revamped its menu improving on their cooked food. The Spicy crayfish pasta is one the dish in the menu which I often order when I visited the restaurant. The tangy tomato based pasta with its al dente pasta was delectable with a dash of spiciness to it.
Went to Swensen\'s for an outing with friends, we had 11 of us so we reserved a table earlier time. Swensen\'s is famous for the ice cream but I feel that the food is a Los very high standard! I ordered the chicken cutlet with fries.. The chicken cutlet is very nice, crispy and crunchy, very well seasoned but not over salty, the meat is tender and juicy but not oily too. I like the fries Which is soft inside and crispy outside..
Located at the arrival hall of Changi Airport Terminal 2, the place is always quite popular and crowded with the lunch crowd. We are planning for a department lunch and actually Swensen\'s is probably the few restaurants that can accommode the team and of course it is quite reasonable priced. Looking through their extensive menu, I decided to go for their Breaded Chicken. I like the crisp skin and the meat was still moist and depend.
Ice cream buffet for fathers\' Day celebrtion(; There are a lot of ice cream at swensens.i espeially like this. u choose your ice cream flavour and what biscuit crunch you want then they will mix it for you(: Its really nice and special there is also chocolate fondue and strawberry!! I like ice cream buffet as you get to design your own ice cream. And, their ice cream is rich in flavour and smooth too~
Visited Swensen\'s at Compass point and ordered their Teriyaki Chicken Pasta. I\'ve noticed preparation time for food in Swensen\'s is rather long andit is no exception in this outlet. I waited for about 15 mins for the food to be served after ordering, even though there weren\'t many customers in the restaurant. The pasta dish was not too bad actually. It came with a huge tender slab of chicken slathered in teriyaki pepper sauce. It also comes with seasonal vegetables, corn and mash potato, in addition to the al dente spaghetti pasta. The teriyaki chicken wasn\'t too bad, in fact the teriyaki sauce is rather flavourful and goes well with the bland spaghetti. The portions served here are rather big, but cooking time for some reason is a little too long. Drop by Swensen\'s if you are willing to wait for your food.
33% off Ice Cream Sundaes for Weekdays from 3.30pm onwards.
I always have a problem finishing up my food at Swensen as i personally find that their portion are too huge. It is great that they allow me to have kids meal even though i\'m already an adult. *Shy* We are taught not to waste food anyway! I had beef mini and it comes in adorable sizes. It is real delicious! The star shaped potato are nicely fried and the beef burgers are so fragrant. The beef is really tender and juicy. It only cost me $6.50 for this. Best part, i didn\'t waste food at all!
Went to Swensen\'s for my birthday! <3 and had this delicious BBQ half-chicken. It liiks small though... But its nice~ the flavors is there! It\'s AWESOME!!! though the chicken is a bit dry. But it\'s alright! I was entitled to a free fire house sundae! BECAUSE ITS MY BIRTHDAY!! <3 <3 <3 I got to pick the 3 balls of ice-cream! i picked minty, cookie and cream and chocolate. Thought this seems like a weird combination... but its nice! i like the mint best! cause of the cooling after effect! hee the cookie and cream is good but not the best... The chocolate is creamy! and nice. But i don\'t like the whipped cream:/ YUCK... perhaps its cause i never like whipped cream
Had the mango salad here. It was quite good! love the mango inside which made the dish very refreshing! The salad was very fresh too! Not much soggy veggies and the sauce for the salad was awesome! We also shared a side of fries and calamari rings which was delicious! Love that it is not overfried or underfried! Their ice cream was the bomb as well! WOuld definitely go back for more!
I had been eating Yoghurt Fruz from Swensen since I was young, however they stopped selling it for quite a while but now it is back! I have ordered a Oreo flavor as they are running out of fresh fruit. The frozen yoghurt is very crunchy and a strong oreo and chocolate taste. Usually I don’t like the filling in the oreo but the way they mixed the oreo and yoghurt, I could barely taste the filling.
If you are a fans of durian, forget about other ice-cream choices in Swensen even if they are good, because the Durian Supreme ($8.9) here is delicious! The dessert comes in with generous scoops of durian ice-cream, very strong authentic flavour even though you can\'t really taste the pulps. It is also accompanied by the chewy -textured attap seeds and crunchy almonds. So much going on in the glass that I found myself keep digging in without actually talking much to my mates around. Haha!Spending: Approximately SGD 10(Tea)
Had the earthquake ice cream. It was a great dish to share as we can choose the various flavous that we fancy. I thought there was too much whipped cream and perhaps if one dislikes whipped cream like i do, he or she should order the topless 5 instead as you get more ice cream out of it compared to the earthquake. The ice cream tastes great and is a great dessert for Singapore\'s scorching hot weather.
Swensen\'s is one of the only few restaurants that I visit every month because of their wide variety of food and the great taste that comes with it. Lying to myself that I will workout tomorrow, I ordered the Fried Fish with Apricot Mayo. It\'s also my first time trying this dish. In a matter of minutes, I was presented with two big slices of fish, freshly fried fries, and a cup of coleslaw. The fish was fried really well, and it was still crispy till the last bite. What I dislike most about eating fish dishes like this is that the meat simply just falls apart or separates itself from the skin when I attempt to cut it with my knife, but not for this fried fish; it holds up nicely, and the meat is still soft and juicy. As a member of Swensen\'s, I get to enjoy $1 top-up for any drinks (except yoghurt), so I got myself a cup of Malted Milk Shake. I highly recommend this drink because they will blend an ice cream of your choice with milk, and you get to enjoy your ice cream desert and your main course together without worrying about melting ice creams. In Conclusion, the Fried Fish with Apricot Mayo is a little oily (as with all fried food), but it\'s worth trying. Spending: Approximately SGD 19(Dinner)
Went there for dinner with friends. This is the first time I went there, I feel so cozy. I ordered Chilli Crab Pasta and Hot US Fries. It was soft shell crab instead of the normal hard shell crab and it is easier to eat. The crab was fresh and the pasta was cooked just nice. To me, they were not really generous with the sauce. The sauce was taste average. As for the fries, it was not bad. They were fried to a very nice golden color. The swensen\'s fried are very much less salty. It comes together with tartar sauce and chilli sauce. The fries was goes really well with the chilli sauce. Overall, the food was average.
We used to frequently visit Swensen\'s, particularly for their excellent waffles - probably one of the most fulfilling waffle ice-creams in Singapore. Normally I will go for their main course for the fish & chips. It is cheap; however I already have my dinner, so I decided to settle for dessert, as swensen is supposed to be nice for their dessert. it is my second ice cream shop, in my favourite list.
The dory fish is slightly grilled and covered with creamy cheese sauce. I dont like the fish coz it tasted soft and not like fish. The mashed potato was nice, smooth and filling. The most delicious one is the sauteed mushroom coz i love mushroom a lot! Overall a satisfying meal.
It was a few days before my colleague, PK\'s birthday We decide to surprise her with a birthday lunch celebration near our workplace. As Swensens was the nearest, a few of my colleagues went over early to get seats first! The place was quite a madhouse, packed with many working adults like us. There was this lunch promotion going on at that time. For the price of $10++, we get a main course or a pasta and an additional of side dish or drink or ice cream! This was quite a worthwhile deal Each of us ordered something different so that we can share and try each other\'s food We ordered items like chicken cutlet, fish and chips, chicken terriyaki pasta, beef bolognese! As for sides, some of us get fries, chicken wings, meatballs with mash potato, ice cream, soft drinks For me i ordered the chicken terriyaki pasta! I love terriyaki sauce food stuff, hence i find the chicken very tasty However, i didn\'t really like the pasta as it was olio oligo style, I prefer tomato or cream sauce based pasta As for sides i got the meatball and mash potatoes, meatball was delicious and the mash potatoes was quite good too. Overall my colleagues were satisfied with their food and we had a nice and enjoyable birthday lunch together The tiny drawback was that the service was quite slow but i won\'t blame them much as it\'s lunch time.
I find myself back at Swensen\'s again since my hubby wanted to eat their ice creams. The sundae menu is very extensive and I had difficulty in deciding on which to order. In the end, I went for the coit tower, which is basically made of Vanilla and Chocolate ice cream together with layers of strawberry and chocolate fudge. There are also fresh banana slices and almonds within the sundae. I love the combination of the ice cream with the almonds as the almonds add a nutty taste to the sweet ice cream. However, the sundae ended up to be too sweet for me since the strawberry and chocolate fudge are also very sweet and ice cream is of course sweet as well. I would think lesser of the strawberry and chocolate fudge would be better, but that wouldnt be like a sundae anymore. Anyway, I would say order this if you have a very sweet tooth!
Yogurt Smoothies - Berries Merry ($6.90), Peach Delight ($6.90), very thick and filling that we could not eat anymore. Lucky we are having it at the end. A bit sour in taste. Meatballs in Pepper Sauce - big and juicy. Smoked Salmon Salad - comes with plentiful of salmon slices. Chili Crab Pasta - soft shell crab with chili pasta, taste a bit funny. Spending: Approximately SGD 40(Lunch)
Everyone\'s getting health conscious and diet conscious these days. Whenever we eat out, we try to look for healthier options, especially for our parents. My Mum loves Swensens, especially the Fish n Chips, buts she\'s often skeptical about the chips. This time, I decided to make a request. I asked for the Chips to be substituted with vegetables, like those served with Lamb Chops. The staff at the restaurant were very accommodating and got it done. We started our meal with wholesome, piping-hot Mushroom Soup. I also ordered Bruschetta and this went really well with the soup. The toasted slices of bread with diced onions and tomatoes that had been lightly sauteed with olive oil just melt in you mouth. I decided to make it a healthy lunch - by asking for vegetables for my Fish with Apricot mayo. The boiled vegetables included Carrots, Cauliflower, Zucchini and Snow Peas. I was glad that I had asked for the change. It was truly a great-tasting and healthy meal and Mum loved it!
A western restaurant recommended for all age groups. They serve wonderful ice creams, wide range of western foods, pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, drinks & desserts. I love the Fish & chips in Apricot sauce - fried fish served with chips & coleslaw. I love the Apricot sauce. The fish are quite fresh. They also have great salads. Try out their ocean crunch salad- vegetable with carrots, fish bites, fried calamari, shrimps in pineapple bbq sauce. The caesar salad with chicken is great too. the salads are served in a big bowl. You can order 1 set and share. The brownies are served on sizzling pans with ice creams, sauce & peanuts. for those who are adventurous can try their ice cream-Earthquakes. You can eat to your heart content! You can also join their membership card if you spend $50 and above. This card entitles you to 1 member\'s drink at $1 only whenever you dine at Swensen\'s and also birthday discounts on your birthday month.
Bought this ice cream cake for my baby nephew first years old birthday. It is really colourful so it really make the birthday boy very excited once he sees it.This cake is totally make of one hundred percent of chocolate and vanilla flavours ice cream and with some nice fresh whip cream on it.Certainly melt in my mouth during every mouthful of it since its ice cream after all.We have some left over after the party but we are still cool with it as this is ice cream so we can still keep in the freezer compartment for a much longer period of time compare to those normal cream cake.
I went to have lunch with my classmate at swensen after school.I had ordered the spicy fish baked rice. The baked rice tasted too creamy for me. And the portion was quite big. At last, my classmate need to help me to finish my baked rice. But overall the food at swensen tasted nice. I will definitely revisit swensen again.
baked mussels this mussels are covered with garlic flakes and then melted cheese. The appearance is quite tempting but the mussels is not very fresh.burgers! This is so large portion, could be enough for two persons. But it\'s delicious, 8.5 out of 10 for me.awesome chocolate sundae!!! This is really really very nice!! must try for chocolate lovers!!!
Recently I have been having lots of chocolate cravings. I found myself at Swensen\'s just a few weeks ago having my fix of chocolate ice cream. There is the sticky chewy chocolate, chocolate crunch and the frosted chocolate malt under swensen\'s ice cream menu. I went for the chocolate crunch since it has the chocolate morsels and I like having something to munch on in my ice cream. The chocolate crunch costs $8.90 and there is like what the description has mentioned, ots of crispy chocolate morsels together with scoops of chocolate flavoured ice-cream. It is really very chocolatey, but it seems to me that the chocolate is milk chocolate since I did not taste any bitterness to it, which is quite a pity as I enjoy dark chocolate ice creams more. Nevertheless, if you are a chocolate fan, you will love this!
Birthday Sundae! Exceptionally great if you found a friend who has a birthday on the same day as you. It used to have some dry ice, but now it\'s just candle, anyway it\'s better than nothing, love to come to swensens during birthdays!Sourdough 49ers\' is exceptionally great when the bread is just heated up. Sometimes they leave it over at the counter for soooooooo long by the time you got your bread it\'s tough to chew. THe fries are awesome. I don\'t like coleslaw, so i can\'t tell you how it taste!Spending: Approximately SGD 20(Dinner)
A time to relax and enjoy this comfort food. It will definitely be either ice cream or chocolate. Together with my other three friends, we went to Bishan Junction 8 Swensens to eat Fondue. It was nice and yummy, the fondue includes ice cream, mashmellow, fruits , biscuit with a warm chocolate in the middle. All the staff was very friendly and nice to usher us with seats and politely asked for our orders. The Fondue was served to us within few minutes and I can say that this was fabulous. We loved it very much and our mood increased. Do try it, there are plently of ice cream, salad, main course and more to dine in,
Double cheese burger at Swensen is definitely different from the ones selling at other fast food restaurant outlets in Singapore. The 2 thick big slices of beef patties which are well mixed with their in-house dressing are really juicy and tender. The burger buns are toasted well to give it a real kick to the taste.Having the minced preserved pickles and tomato sauces inside has really enhance the taste as well. The add in the nutrition value to their burgers, 2 slices of cheeses are added to it as well. The overall taste of it is fantastic and and really filling. But do note you will need to wait for slightly longer for this as the preparation of the beef patties may need to take slightly longer.Spending: Approximately SGD 16(Lunch)
Swensen is well known for their wide range of ice-creams.However do not miss out their hot dishes as well as they are equally good too.Like their Crayfish pasta which are with generous amount of pasta cooked in tomato paste with lots of cut tomatoes in it.The crayfish is fresh and crunchy and also not over cooked.Eat it when it is hot and you will know how fragrant and delicious this dish is.However I would say the price is abit high.Well-like by my friends and even Malay colleagues too. Do give it a try if you have never done so.Spending: Approximately SGD 18(Lunch)
It was one of my many times, I visited this outlet though and the waitress was quite prompt in allocating us to our table. The service was quite good though because the waitress gave us a table seated for 4 persons even though it was the lunch hour. Swensen\'s the name that all are us is familiar with, the place that is famous for its ice cream. Swenson’s a household name in Singapore. We ordered the banana split. It is worth.
I ordered the “All-Time Favourite”, the mega burger. The food came about 15 minutes later. We were already satisfied at the ample servings. The displays were appetizing too.The mega burger was a surprising winner and knock out this skeptic that “burgers whoa me no more”. Swensens’ version is ambitious. It is huge and throw you a generous blend of chicken ham, turkey bacon, melted cheese, fried egg and a large, lusciously grilled beef patty in between. I am speechless. It is so good that I left the restaurant planning for my next trip to grab more!
This ice-cream buffet will definitely be loved by those who have sweet tooth. The buffet spread is filled with lots of choices of ice-cream, waffles, biscuits, cakes, pastries and wide range of sweet toppings to go along with your sweet desserts. The restaurant looks nice and bright and not too crowded within the seats.Great hang out area for family and friends gatherings.I believe this may be one of the best range of ice-cream buffet in town right now as the choices for your selection is really wide and interesting.Spending: Approximately SGD 18(Other)
Went to Swensen for our tea time. The boyfriend always love burger so he decided to try this Swensen Mega Burger. I was like keep asking, are you serious? Haha. So the burger came and it looked really mega. There were so many ingredients in the burger like cheese, egg, ham, tomatoes and the rest. It comes with the fries as well ! So we two shared the burger together. Its quite full for 2 people!
This outlet at Orchard ION is one of the few Swensens outlets that has a local menu and includes local dishes like Mee Goreng and Chicken Rice. In addition to the local dishes, we had our usual favourites - Calamari Rings and Caesar Salad. The Caesar Salad was absolutely fresh and crunchy and the lime mayo dressing went really well with it. The Calamari rings were piping hot and crispy. We always have our usual drinks - hot coffee and ice lemon tea. Everything was perfect until our decision to try the local cuisine. It wasn\'t up to our expectations. The Claypot Laksa looked and smelt good, but had only an average taste. Something was missing. As for the Crabmeat Fried Rice, it was bland. The Soft Shell Crab that came with it was not well marinated. Overall both those dishes were average, and hence, not to our liking. Of course, the saving grace for the day was the Gold Rush - never fails to satisfy. One nagging issue was the presence of houseflies. As this outlet doesn\'t actually have doors, its open concept allows pests inside. It was quite annoying, trying to Shoosh the fly away! Hopefully the management looks into the hygiene issue. Spending: Approximately SGD 30(Dinner)
While waiting for my friend to arrive, I ordered the Prawn Dippers first as I was too hungry. I was surprised by the serving as it was rather generous for just one person or even to be shared between 2 or 3 people! What I loved about the Prawn Dippers is that it was fried well and was very crispy while the inside was tender and chewy. Definitely a great appetizer and very filling to be eaten on it\'s own too!
I went with my daughter to swensens during the happy hour. During this time, there are relatively less people in the restaurant so the service was much more efficient and we did not have long to wait. The fries come with mayo and chilli sauce. These are like the normal fries outside, but the fries are thicker and have less salt. The portion is quite little as compared to what you can get outside since this is not cheap, but price aside, I find there is nothing special about swensens fries and you are really better off buying from Mcdonalds or long johns.
First time i came to Bishan Junction, im looking for the ice cream, as this dessert is my favourite one. My eyes pointed Swensens as they offer an ice cream cake. Then without think too much, my buddy and me tried this ice cream. Wowww what a wonderful taste, it\'s very soft, not too sweet, good combination of vanilla, strawberry and chocolate, but the portion is too small
Title Mac & cheese Comment The macaroni is so creamy coz mix with the cream sauce and topped with lots of cheese to be baked. The portion is not a lot but I feel quite full after eating maybe due to the creaminess. Grade /5Title Chocolate sundae (free in the student meal) Comment The chocolate balls is so nice, crunchy! The ice cream is so rich in chocolate taste! awesome! Grade /5
Title creamy mushroom Comment this bread and soup can become a meal already. Luckily we order one more snack only :x the soup has a really strong mushroom taste and smell. however the bread is a lil\' hard and hard to tear off / cut. and we have no idea how to eat the bread together with the soup as the bread is containing the soup. so we finish the soup and eat the bread separately. Grade/5Title fried mushroom Comment A bit oily but crispy layer! Grade/5
I don\'t know what to say. This is by far the most delicious yet sinful dessert EVER. perfect for chocolate lovers. I went =O just by looking at it! The chocolate sauce was thick and creamy and just delicious. The cookies n cream ice cream cake kinda balanced off the flavour. Perfect for hot weather. Really won\'t mind coming back for more!
What else would you come here for but the ice cream buffet??! Love the variety of ice cream flavours provided. Love their chocolate fondue fountain! The strawberries were tad too sour though. Love the sauces provided. Love the waffles! One exception is their array of cakes were not that appetizing. But nonetheless, though it\'s a bit too pricey, the choices were superb! No regrets!
seafood aglio olio Its only stated one spiciness level in the menu but already very hot!! The hotness is like burning into my throat after eat quite a few.. so those who cant eat spicy thing better dont order this.. like my friend she keep on drinking water when eating and even got gastric pain after eating.the snack - baked mussels underneath the baked cheese there are lots of shredded garlic which is very fragrant and hide the fishy smell of the oyster.nice snack.chocolate sundae!! Awesome dessert!! the chocolate balls is very nice, crunchy chocolate cookies. the chocolate ice cream is very rich in chocolate! this is totally for chocolate lover to die for.
Parents are a hugee fan of swensens(so am I actually.hehe). We usually go to the one at IMM though the service is pretty average because it\'s the nearest..ANYWAY, this review is going to be about their fries.Their US fries is always fried to a crispy, golden tinge and it\'s ALWAYS good.Never too salty or flimsy, their fries has got to be the best as compared to other restaurants of the same category..
So I went for Lunch with my girls at SWENSENS We all ordered these!!!! I HAD the SPICY Aglio Prawn! It was Super NICE but VERY SPICY!!~~~~ I drank 3 cups of water while having this! So if you want to try these, make sure you tell the waitress to put less chilly first. After that you can add all you want because you might have a hard time to finish all >< The oyster and cheese sticks are nice FISH and CHIPS were VERY NICE too!! We finished everything up with desert:> It was so sweet~~ <3 Anyway, it was all worth it! CHEERS!
ordered the mega burger to try since it looked so nice on the menu. the patty tasted ok, quite juicy and the bun was nice and soft. the portion of the fries was quite alot so after finished the whole set, i was really bloated. the down side was i waited quite long before the food was served when my other friends were already eating. so i think next time must order quickly to avoid the long waiting time
We decided to have the chocolate fudge ice cream at Swensens located at Marina Square. The ice cream had whipped cream, cookies and cream and waffles toppings which enhance the ice cream experience. It costs around $8 which I felt was worth the money. It was a great place to chill with family and friends.
We ended up at Swensens as the original shop Tingkat we wanted to try closed down for basement renovation.Sis decided to order this unsual salad combination; Chicken Salad with Lime Sherbet. Surprising it was very refreshing with thick slices of chicken and different type of vegetables. The icy cold lime sherbet goes well with the different textures, I highly recommend this dish for people who like salad. The portion is big enough for 1 person healthy light meal or shared with a group of 4 peope if you order other dishes.Crayfish Pasta comes in 2 halfs of a crayfish lightly coated with batter and deep fried which is sits on top of a mountain of noodles. This is served in a tomato gravy with pieces ofcrab sticks. This dish is ok but nothing fantastic. The Hawaiian Pizza has the usual pineapple & chicken ham with sprinkleof sliced green pepper & mushrooms. I like this crispy thin crust version which is divided into 4 portions.Sispicked the frozen yogurt as her healthy dessert to end the meal. She had the Oreo and Mango as her 2 mixed in. Since she ordered the salad she got $1 off on the yogurt. The flavour combination is nice with the tangy taste and bits of Oreo. Texture is like soft ice cream. The rest of the family had ice cream which is part of the $5 top up for any order of main course. You get soup, drink & ice cream. You can choose any flavour of ice cream from the meu. The ice cream is not creamy or smooth like the other premium brand.
It was my little sister bdae and I decided to surprise her by ordering an ice-cream cake from Swensens, which is to be delivered on the day itself. When the cake came, it was put into a Styrofoam box with dry ice inside. I was afraid it would melt so I pestered my dad to bring out the cake, but as we had not eaten our dinner, my dad refused and said that it would not melt at all. Luckily, it turned out that he was right, when he took out the cake 4hrs later (there was a note on the box stating that the cake shld not be left for more than 3hrs as it would melt), the cake was still frozen solid. It was really difficult cutting the cake, even after using the knife my mum alwys used in the kitchen. In the end, we could only get spoons to dig the cake to eat as it was just too hard to cut. The cake was really nice, with ice cream in between thin layers of sponge cake. There were 3 flavours of ice cream in it in total; vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. The nicest flavour was chocolate (of cos, since it was my favourite). The cake was soft, and eating the whole thing makes ur teeth shiver. One tip: Eat all 3 flavours tgt with the cake, its the perfect combination, delicious! Overall, a really nice to eat cake. Will purchase again next time.
Having been a long while ago, I was lured back again with an ANZ voucher for complimenary fish and chips with another main course. Lucky I clarified this, as I was going to order the mega burger, per one of the earlier reviewer\'s recommendation, but the staff was quite strict that the paid dish had to come only from the main course page. Therefore I decided on the grilled fish sambal, substituting fries instead of mashed potato ($14.9++). The fish fillet and sambal sauce were quite good. Fries and boiled vegetables were nothing special, could be better. My friend enjoyed the fish and chips which was a large potion, two pieces of crumbed fish and not too oily. Overall this place is okay for a generic lunch, especially if you have a voucher like I did, otherwise I probably would find a better deal elsewhere...
Beef stroganoff baked rice The baked rice is nice, but it will be nicer if served hot. The cheese is fragrant, together with the flavourful sauce and the tender beef, the baked rice is awesome! the second nice baked rice in swensen that I\'ve tasted so far.. the first one will be salmon baked rice..fried fish with apricot sauce crispy fish cod with a bit sour apricot sauce! the sauce is very refreshing coz its a bit sour, the fish is fresh and its thick fish fillet, not the dory fish that we always eat.. and the fried battered skin is just so crispy until the last bite.. VERY RECOMMENDED!
went down for lunch coupled of weeks ago and only then i realised this swensen outlet was pretty big. i ordered the sandwich set that comes with a drink, soup of the day and ice cream. cant remember what was the soup, probably cream of corn or something but the taste was not bad. the sandwhich was ok but there was not enough sauce so it was a little on the dry sideSpending: Approximately SGD 18(Lunch)
had a craving for aglio oilo so ordered the mushroom aglio oilo to try, you can ask for additional prawns which cost $3 extra but i wanted it vegetarian that day. when the food was served, the portion looks pretty small but when i start to eat, i realised there was quite a lot of pasta there. the taste was quite nice, quite a strong touch of garlic which i like and not too spicy
The log cake is not bad. This is the first time i eat log cake during christmas. The cake is really beautiful and it taste quite nice. The thick choco outside is nice but is a bit too sweet. The fish and chips is just normal, and it is a bit oily. So i\'m not really like it. I more prefer the fish and chips from naked fish.Except from the icecream and cake from swensen,i really think that the main dish from swensens is just normal. And it is quite costly too.
I like swensens\'s icecream. It is quite high standard. The sweetness, softness, smoothness. All is perfect. And i really can enjoy the ice cream in a very comfortable place. I most like the banan boat. It is simple but very nice. This dish is also not bad,the cream on the top really mix well with the icecream. Must stop eating this kind of food already,if not i will become a fat girl.
The first thing I noticed about Swensen is that the crowd is thinner as compared to last time. I guess it is perhaps the ever popular 1 for 1 mains promotion is over. I know Swensen used to be really crowded during that time because that promotion made me go there more frequently as well.I wanted something light so I ordered the soup and also a side, the bruschetta. The soup is the daily soup of the day. I think it is cream of chicken and corn soup. I found it a little salty. If only there is complimentary garlic toast, it would make the soup more perfect since even the slightly salty nature of the soup, it would be better if there is a bread dip.The bruschetta is basically tomato salsa on top of garlic butter french loaf. I find the tomato salsa really tangy due to the slight sourness and it is contrasted with the parmesan cheese which is sprinkled on top of the toast. This can be easily replicated at home, but I really appreciate how Swensen does it.
Mozzarella cheese stick!!! The cheese stick is fried with batter, it was so fragrant and crispy and hot when it was served. When bite the first bite, the cheese inside ooze out like a lava! It\'s so heavenly good but a bit unhealthy. As I ate the unhealthy and fatty cheese, so I ordered also the salad to balance it up. The salad look nice with colourful green vege, Prawns, raisins, and mango. The dressing is refreshing and tasty.
Brought some a la carte food which consist of grilled chicken salad, sourdough 49ers chicken sandwich and BBQ chicken pizza. Firstly, the grilled chicken salad, the presentation is very nice, quite appealing. This salad includes lettuce, cabbage, shredded carrot, crunchy almonds and grilled chicken topped with thousand island sauce. The grilled chicken has a light black pepper flavour. The presence of the almonds adds extra crunchyness to the salad. Next is the sourdough 49ers chicken sandwich. This includes two chicken sandwich with bacon, chicken slices and cheese. The sourdough sandwich is soft and has a nice aroma. This sandwich also includes side dishes such as the fries and colesaw. The fries are well cooked and has a crispy texture. As for the colesaw, the mayonnaise sauce is a bit too waterly. Lastly, the BBQ chicken pizza includes chicken cubes, green peppers, pineapple and onion. The outer part of the pizza has a crispy texture, not too hard. As for the sauce, it taste like normal pizza sauce with no taste of the BBQ. No cheese powder and chili flakes was given.
I love eating at swensens\', but their price can be quite expensive for some food. I find their baked rice are nice, spaghetti are nice, main course are nice, and of course their desserts are nice too! Especially their ice cream! This time i ordered the usual food i always have, in addition, i ordered the milkshake and cheesy muscle. I love these 2 and definitely becomes the item i must order when i visit swensens\' again!
One of my best friends brought me here for my birthday! Being the stressful exam period, I hardly had a chance to enjoy myself so this little surprise indeed made my day! The swensens dessert buffet is worth every cent; mainly because you get to try just about all the desserts; from the ice cream to the sorbets to the waffles to the cookies and not forgetting, the yummy cakes! There were a variety of cakes to choose from hence there would be something to suit everyone! I personally loved the chocolate fudge cake. It was pure indulgence 7/10 We also other 2 sides - Bruschetta\'s and Cheese Sticks. They were both amazing. I find the cheese sticks at swensens to be one of the best! Unlike other fast food joints, the cheese tends to be full of liquid and can be rather messy. However, The one\'s at swensense are really rubbery and melted to perfection 8/10 Spending: Approximately SGD 27(Lunch)
At first i thought this is only a place for ice cream but then i was wrong.. haha.. Friend told me it was very nice and she tempted me to go try!! so here i was.salmon & mushroom baked rice This is what my friend ordered. DAMN NICE! the nicest and tastiest baked rice i had before!! if you have no idea what to order when u visit swensen, try this~ anyway it\'s a lil\' heavy and those who don like heavy and strong flavour may not like this.
For my friend\'s 20th birthday celebration, I brought her out to Swensens for lunch. We decided to share a newly introduced main course called the Chicken Victoria. The chicken breast served was very tender and juicy and it was topped with a sauce that was rather thick and cheesy. The sauce became a tad bit too overpowering after a while US potatoes were also served and this was really delicious! Overall, I think the Chicken Victoria was of an average standard. My friend and I had to force ourselves to complete it as after a few mouthfuls, the chicken becomes too overwhelming.
We had decided to chilled out at Swensens @ Changi Airport while waitimg for the taxi peak period to be over. Swensens Banana Split Three scoops of ice cream of your choice, topped with pineapples, almonds and chocolate fudge. Nothing can go wrong with sweet banana. and ice cream. The pineapple toppings add a refreshing touch to the sundae as well. Sticky Chewy Chocolate Very chocolatey choice - chocolate ice cream with thick chocolate fudge topped with chocolate bits, cream, chocolate coated cherry and chocolate coated waffle biscuit. You will love this if you are mad about chocolate. Nice settings at Swensens restaurant at the airport with comfy sofa and spacious room for luggage.
Mum and I decided to have dinner at swensens as it had been quite some time since we last ate there. I decided to order something different. I ordered the salmon n mushroom pasta. I usually prefer tomato base sauce but this time round i decided to try something different and ordered a dish that was cream base. The salmon n mushroom pasta was too creamy for my liking. It tasted a bit cheesy. However, there was a generous amount of mushroom and salmon. The salmon taste was quite strong. I would rate this dish a 6 out of 10. It was not too bad.
Swensen\'s has been on a slight revamp recently and with their latest outlet located at the Orchard MRT, they have taken this opportunity to introduce some new items. On my first visit, actually on both visits, there were two consistent themes. Firstly, it took me about 20 minutes to find the location, because one would have to temporarily leave the ion and walk through what seems like a dark alley in order to reach to this outlet which is located just above Orchard MRT. The second theme is the entrance, which I tripped on both occasions as I entered due to the raised laminate floors of the restaurant - something to watch out for.I grew up on Swensen\'s ice creams, and made sure that I had enough stomach on both occasions to have some. At this outlet there is a buffet option which means that you can have a ton of your favourite ice creams and sorbets. What a treat! Spending: Approximately SGD 10
http://thechosenglutton.wordpress.com/2010/09/11/drowned-in-the-sea-of-swensens-sugar/ To be honest, I was already drooling for quite some time, at the Swensen’s Ice Cream Buffet, before I actually patronized it. Ice Cream Buffet, and it’s not just any, street-sold Ice Cream, it’s Swensen’s – Chocolate Malt Ice Cream, Sticky Chewy Chocolate – those sundae flavors you always order (so much so that you don’t even have to look at the menu of ice cream sundaes available, lol). After what seemed like ages, I finally got down to Orchard Ion (the only outlet with the Ice Cream Buffet) to meet and greet the awesome line up of ice creams. There’re over 50 different flavors of ice cream and some 40 odd toppings. The flavors include the classics, some gelato (eg. peach and mango gelato, bitter chocolate gelato, cookies cheesecake gelato), and other favorites (eg. sticky chewy chocolate, cookies chocolate), and the toppings surprised me. I wasn’t expecting the wide yet tasty spread of toppings (which includes nestle crunch chocolate chunks, malt balls, lightly salted biscuits, hazelnut chocolate wafers, smarties etc.). I wouldn’t be surprised if any one of you spammed the toppings upon seeing them. lol. Just don’t, overdo it, or you’ll get some serious overdose of chocolates. lol. One particular thing I like about this buffet is the ability to re-create the Frosted Chocolate Malt (my most sought-after sundae). Because they have the Chocolate Malt Ice Cream, they have the Malt Balls, and they have the Cold Chocolate Fudge and Liquefied Marshmallow. Awesomeness. Besides ice cream and their toppings, you can expect a small range of cakes and pies. I personally didn’t want to take the cakes and pies, because they have it in a really generous portion (I’d rather fill my stomach up with more ice cream). Lined up on the same side (as the cakes and pies) of the four-sided counter is the Chocolate Fondue side. Profiterole (cream puffs), vegetable sticks (and that’s how Pocky is made – vegetable sticks + chocolate fondue dumped three quarter into the stick), sweet red strawberries and marshmallow can be found by the fondue set. Good thing the chocolate fondue isn’t as bitter as some that I’ve tried. One last thing to touch on – they have quartered-up waffles. It’s recommendable to just try it (you can walk over to the ice cream section and ask for a scoop or two on the waffle) once, nothing more. —-> NOTE #1: Each bowl can only go up to a maximum of 5 scoops of ice cream. Don’t be humiliated like I was when I asked for the sixth scoop. What’s funny is, I don’t get the reason why we can’t go more than 5 scoops per bowl – it’s not like the bowl will crumble with the weight of the sixth. —-> NOTE #2: You can stay there for as long as your stomach can withstand the sugar. If it means staying there from the time they open till they finish stacking the plates and wiping the tables, so be it. Price :: $18.90++ / $12.90++ with a food order (not inclusive of soup and sides) Spending: Approximately SGD 20(Lunch)
The mushroom and salmon rice looks delicious on their menu\'s picture as well as the actual plate but the salmon they use is not fresh but rather it think it\'s smoke salmon (hope i\'m right) as it\'s very salty. Rice is okay with sauce and cheese grilled but the thin slices of shitake mushrooms are tasteless and the salmon too much salty.Overall, i would not order this dish again whenever i go Swensen. Restaurant was crowded and service quite fast even billing we dont have to wait too long.Spending: Approximately SGD 17
Before catching a late night movie, my friend and I headed to Swensen\'s for dinner. It was a Friday night and surprisingly, we got a table in just a few minutes. Though when we entered the premises, it was packed! I ordered their Mushroom Baked Rice. Waiter said that it would be served in 15 minutes so I timed it. And boy, was she right on the dot! I got my order in 15 minutes despite the busy restaurant. I liked how the top was a bit burnt, it added to the crunchy taste and character to the whole dish. They were also very generous with their mushrooms. It seemed like with every bite that I took, there were a few mushrooms in it. The sauce also drowned the rice in just the right amount for me.DELICIOUS!
My family of 3 were seated at around 7.30pm and the last dish which is this horrible, tasteless lamb chop was served at 8.45pm on the 23rd Jan 2012 (Chinese New Year) Certainly not worth the wait as the lamp chops were tastless, hard to bite, dressing very oily. It came in 3 pieces of lamp chop but the meat were so tough and this is the worst lamp chop i had ever tasted.Served with peppermint dressing which is so oily and on top of that the waiting time of over an hour.
One should know to make such business in the service industry. The food may be edible, good, or excellent that I could lick the plate over without any shame, but when the service lags badly because of one particular staff you might have missed to train, the entire experience of eating just drops down the drain. To the service girl named Joan. By bumping into us without saying a word of sorry, scolding us instead of answering a simple question of "how long more do we have to wait, are there available tables yet" and slamming the chair and menus on our table, we are clearly not impressed. You\'ve messed with the wrong group of people where we have worked ourselves in this service industry. Our meal came late as well, as it was fully loaded with a lot of people on this weekday evening was heavily packed for real. We queued for almost an hour straight with patience. Chicken wings however were a bit of a cure, with sprinkles of pepper and salt, and it was tender and juicy. Furious, we filled in the feedback form and personally gave it to the manager but yet she was also so busy that she didn\'t have time to even read. We left with rambling after Joan, but that doesn\'t mean its the entire team\'s fault. Only to that particular waitress that you probably didn\'t listen to your training well...
It was December. Early December, and Christmas season dawned upon many social places. One was Swensens to have published a special Christmas menu! Enticed by the range of sundaes and pretty desserts, my friend and I agreed to choose one after our meal - which was the standard normal Swensens western meal of chicken chop, no further elaboration needed. This was the highlight~! Ordering the Berry sweet xmas special with longans, kiwi and strawberries with vanilla ice cream, the sundae was really tall! As this was ordered by my friend, I was not in favor - I definitely preferred something chocolatey. Nonetheless, it wasn\'t that sweet as it was paired up with fruits, and if i\'m not a fan of this yet I managed to finish it, that\'s a good thing enough for you to grab it next year! But still, I\'d put OK because I still prefer chocolate. Own\'s personal taste Ice cream wasn\'t too rich in comparison with a better brand. Only the prettiness.
Ordered a birthday cake for my daughter from Swensen and for those of you who loves ice cream cakes, Swensen is highly recommended for its good quality. Per kg at S40 and the pictured is a 2 kg chocolate.Very thick and rich and simply delicious and for a party of 10 paxs, we just finished the whole cake and the children were craving for more ! However, be careful to collect the cake nearer to the time you want to consume as the ice-cream cake can last a maximum of 4 hours before it melt away.Spending: Approximately SGD 40(Other)
I have always gone to swensens for ice cream when i have cravings for ice cream, but i was particularly upset at this outlet. I had hazel daze ice cream, and all outlets should have the same ice cream, so i wont comment more on the taste. But the service and the way they handle situations is really bad. The thing is, i found a fry in my ice cream half way while eating, to my upmost disgust. And i pointed that out to the waiter, who merely take away my cup of ice cream and offer me a new cup. But the problem is, i am already very disgusted by the idea of having a fly in my ice cream, and i do not want even more of that, what more since "another cup" will still come out of the same tub of ice cream. So, he asked what soft drinks i would like to have, and that will be on the house. But, in my opinion, the whole of the first ice cream should already be on the house. Why should i pay for something that is totally not up to the standard At least offer or assure me that they will look into the cleanliness of the restaurant. So, nope. I will not go here ever again.
I like this dessert very much. It is very sweet and nice..! It serve for 2 people, but i think 3 people also can. The icecream got 5 flavour:sticky chewy choco, mint, mocha almond fudge, strawberry, cookies and cream. I most like the mocha almond fudge,it is very special and tasty. Those icecream is very smooth and nice.THe sweetness is also just right. There are alos some fresh cherry, strawberry and banana. But ithink, only the banana can match with the choco. I most like the mashmallow cube, fan wafers and diced almond. It is really nice. I wan to try it nexttime again.
Wow, Swensen\'s milkshake is just amazing! I recently went to swensen\'s and decided to try their milkshake. Their milkshake is thick, creamy and rich! I chose the macademia ice cream flavour and you can really taste the macademia bits within the thick and rich milk shake! A really awesome milkshake! It is so thick that you\'ll be very full after!
had an early day off after work that time hence met up with a friend of mine at Holland V to have some light meal we ordered a bowl of chicken salad ~ it was quite big and we had it with thousand island sauce~ really good and healthy we also had a bowl of pumpkin soup. it was mild and sweet. nice!
Went there with my colleagues for dinner. We ordered Salmon N Mushrooms Pasta, Fish and Chips and Hazelnut Cappuccino. The pasta was not bad. The salmon was fresh. The sauce was light and creamy and not overly salty. The pasta was well cooked. The fish and chip was not bad too. The chicken was well fried into golden brown. It was fresh and juicy but a bit oily. As for the dessert, the ice cream was great and we really enjoyed it. First time trying this, it was really good, smooth, full of flavors and topping and creamy.
Met up with my classmate for dinner at swensen\'s. We decided not to order the usual food we always had when we visit swensen\'s, and try out some of the other food. And we order 2 different types of burger meal and it was simply awesome! It taste different from the usual burgers we get outside, and i will definitely be back for more.
This outlet is probably famous for their dessert buffet more then anything else. Tucked near the mrt station at orchard; I got lost the first time I tried to find this place. However, its away from all the crowds and noise so I guess some treasures are worth finding. I have wanted to try their dessert buffet for the longest time and was so glad I finally found a few friends who were interested in a sugar rush spree as well. They had both the milk chocolate fondue as well as the white chocolate fondue. It not only looked pretty but was tasted great as well. Paired with the fondue\'s was the selection of strawberries, marshmallows and cream puffs (which were excellent). The strawberries were fresh and tasted sweet. After much gobbling, we decided to order a side of mushroom pizza to give out taste buds a break from the sugar. The pizza was served pipping hot and there was a generous amount of cheese as well as mushrooms. There were also a variety of cakes as well as cookies - they tasted pretty good as well. The cakes were fresh and also covered for hygiene reasons and the macadamia cookies were irresistible! Overall, I pretty much think its value for money looking at the variety we\'re presented with. Spending: Approximately SGD 25(Lunch)
i thought of going for light snack and the only thing which came to my mind was Swensen\'s mozzarella cheese stick. Whenever i go to dine in at swensen, i will have to always order this dish. you can dip it in with chilli sauce and eat it. it will double the taste. the cheese stick is so awesome that i would even think about ordering it again. but i won\'t cos need to control myself. So if you got swensen, do try this dish
As my friend\'s birthday was around the corner, I decided to go with something different other then the normal birthday cakes on the shelf. Since she was a fan of ice cream and liked cookies n cream; I decided to put two of her favorite things together and get her a cookies n cream ice cream cake from Swensens. I called in advance to reserve their signature standard cake and they did not require me to come down all the way to put in a deposit. They provided me with dry ice when I collected the cake so as to avoid the cake from melting. The cake tasted fresh with its whooping vanilla flavor that stood out. There were Oreo pieces on top of the cake and a generous amount in the cake. It did not only look pretty, it tasted awesome. My friend was moved to tears
Have my meal at swensen with my parents. I would say that the place is not very packed despite it was meal time. We ordered a main each for us and a pizza as sides for our meal.So this is the meal. I ordered a seafood platter and it taste really normal. Its not worth the price i would say. 2 plates of pasta from my mum and dad. Mum ordered a softshell crab pasta which is really tasty. Dad ordered a black pepper seafood pasta. I think i would ordered the softshell crab pasta next time. We were also given discount vouchers( 12 voucher; 12 months) because we spend above $50.
Didn\'t make any reservation for Christmas dinner and I last minute wanted to go to IMM so we walked around IMM thinking where to have our Christmas dinner. Western food is our main target since it\'s Christmas day so eating Western food would have more festive feeling to it. This helps to eliminate alot of choices and in the end we settled for Swensen. We were really lucky that we didn\'t even have to queue and we gotten a window seat. The seats are highly partitioned up so we could enjoy a peaceful dinner and able to hear each other\'s conversation. This beats going to some crowded restaurant which are so noisy that conversing become shouting. He turned his pasta into a set with a top up of $5 and I get to enjoy the yummy and creamy soup of the day.My Aglio Olio ($11.50) and his Teriyaki Chicken Spaghetti ($15.90). If people says Swenson\'s food is not nice except for their ice-cream, they probably didn\'t ordered their spaghetti. I love this two spaghetti. Very tasty and the spaghetti are cooked to the right texture. Not too soggy and not too hard.Their dessert, Chocolate Twinkle ($9.90) is worth a special mention too. It\'s decorated especially for Christmas with candy cane on top and the ice-cream is my favourite Sticky Chewy Chocolate ice-cream. I was turned into a delightly kids once again. To add on to my happiness, we received a pack of gift vouchers when we settled our bills. Great dinner!
Was having a late night craving so i drove to holland with mum. Good thing the swensens there is 24 hours. My mum ordered Fish N chips (as always) and the fish was really good alright. Although my fav fish n chips is from manhattan fish market, the one from swensens isn\'t too bad too! I remember them serving it with tartar sauce but this time the set didnt come with the tartar sauce...(not like it matters cos we can still ask them for it
Order a Chocolate malt float beverage from swensen and I am given the choice of ice cream and I have decided on durian flavor! The fresh durian used to make my milkshake malt with the strong durian aroma makes the whole drink superb! However, this is highly not recommended to durian haters!Spending: Approximately SGD 7.20(Tea)
It is a great idea to visit Swensens on a weekday as the current promotion gives a choice of free dessert (sundae/milkshake) with every main course ordered. However, for some reason, service in Swensens is very very slow. I don\'t think they are understaffed. They have many waiters in the restaurant and at times they just stand around with nothing to do and are not very prompt in serving/refilling water. I noticed food takes a long time to cook/prepare at Swensens, which is the main reason for slow service. Although I was rather irritated by the long waiting time, I must commend the more senior service staff for being patient and always putting on a smile. One of the service staff, perhaps sensing how frustrated we were with the waiting time even gave us a complimentary soup of the day as an apology for the long wait times. And now for the food...I ordered the Sourdough 49\'ers chicken. I was a little surprised by how small the sandwich portions were. They used to be bigger. But tastewise, it didn\'t really disappoint much. The sour dough buns were fluffy, there was quite a bit of turkey bacon, chicken and cheese sandwiched between the buns. This dish also came with fries and coleslaw and this meal was nonetheless enough to fill up one\'s stomach. It also seems there is only one staff in charge of making desserts, which is rather ridiculous since Swensens is having this main course + dessert promo and practically all the customers ordered sundaes. The rate they churn out sundaes for all the customers, especially when everyone finishes their main course around the same time, is unacceptably slow. So if you have a lot of time and patience, a weekday lunch set meal at Swensens is worth it for a main course + dessert, but the waiting time is really a big put off.
Lots of people celebrate Christmas with a festive log cake or two, and it is usual indulgence in chocolate logs, however, this Christmas, during a BBQ party, I had a few slices of log cake, from Swensen\'s, which was an ice cream version, which was basically their signature cookies & cream flavour wrapped with a layer of vanilla sponge cake really. I think it was good, particularly because I like cookies and cream It\'s good, but I find it a tad too sweet. I prefer having the original lovely chocolate log cake any day.
We were having a gathering at swensens when I noticed quite a few people drinking their milkshake and it looked really good! Hence I decided to order their malted ice cream milkshake. I chose macadamia nut as the ice cream flavour. It was yummy! It was so creamy and thick. And the taste of macadamia nut was strong. But about half a cup, I felt that it was too sweet
Mum and I decided to have dinner at Swensens. One of my favourite places to dine at. This time round i decided to try something different. I ordered the coney dog. The sausage was rather huge. Better to be shared between two people. The sausage was served with coleslaw and fries. Instead of the usual chilli or mustard on the sausage, there was a sweet, tomato flavoured sauce which was rather nice. It was my first time trying it and i liked it. The coleslaw was really fresh and cold. The fries were also well fried. I would definitely try this dish again.
Wow,this is so nice. This is a must TRY. We can choose 8 scoops of icecream by ourselves. Highly recommended for the thin mint and the mocha almond flavour one. The mocha one really GREAT,the almond also make it taste nicer. That is very NICE..! The icecream is really smooth, and nice..! There are also some chocolate pour on the icecream..!And the nut also make it taste nicer. I really enjoy eat this with my friend.
I really like the ice cream from Swensens. Its very rich, flavorful and extremely rich. The ice cream tends to be soft and creamy which really melts in one\'s mouth. It also comes in 3 sizes to make it suitable for someone who wants to cap their appetite with something sweet or for those who just have a sweet tooth! The chocolate flavored one is really rich and tastes like chocolate fudge While the mango is sweet but not the kind you would get sick of. The staff as Swensens are really approachable and extremely politeSpending: Approximately SGD 5(Lunch)
Swensen is popular with its icecream..! i dint heard tht Swensen also sell cake,i knew it when my friend ordered it online. This mango icecream cake is very beautiful. It is very cold and nice..! The mango and strawberry fruits is not very fresh, but still ok. But the icecream part is really nice..! Smooth and fresh. The sweetness is also just right..! Even i can eat 2 pieces. Because it really nice..! There are also many flavour for this cake.
Swensens had specially created a new menu for Christmas with their Christmas order and new creation for their ice cream as well. I was super excited when I saw the new menu and the new creation of ice cream and ordered a chocolate twinkle which is a mixture of sticky chewy chocolate and frosted chocolate malt, cold fudge and smarties. I did not very much enjoy the dessert though and the portion was small. However, the dessert decoration for Christmas is fantastic.Spending: Approximately SGD 9.90(Other)
Went there with family for dinner. We ordered Chili Fish Pasta, Chicken Victoria and Gold Rush. The chili fish pasta was not bad. The snapper fillets were nicely done, smooth and moist but its too oily for my liking. However, the sauce was thick and not overly spicy. The pasta was just right, not too thick or soggy. As for the chicken victoria, not bad to me too. The chicken was fresh and tender. It was juicy too. The sauce was creamy. To me, they were perfect match. Last but not least, the Gold Rush was refreshing. We was very enjoyed after having our main dish. The ice ream were really nice and rich in flavor. It suitable for people with a sweet tooth. Overall, the food was great but quite expensive.
I forgot when this was eaten... it should be sometime earlier this year when they are still running their lunch promotion. I ordered this half bbq chicken since the other fried stuff do not really appeal to me. I thought the bbq chicken is more tough than I expected it to be, perhaps it has been overcooked. Tastewise, quite normal and nothing really special. The veggies on the side are also not that great as well. Overall, I must say I am quite disappointed with this dish.
My friend and I were at town and so we decided to dine in at Swensens. It was a weekend, hence it was really crowded. It took quite a while before we placed our order. We ordered omelette with mushroom and cheese. About 20 minutes later, our food arrived. The wait was really long. The omelette was served with fries and coleslaw. The fries were fried properly and it was tasty. It was not salty. After trying the omelette we realized that it was not mushroom and cheese but chicken and onion. It was really disappointing as we had to wait so long and our orders got mixed up.
chicken soupbeef stewSourdough 49ers The sourdough chicken buns were rather pathetically small, as you can see below; however the serving of fries did help. Although the burger is quite small, i still managed to get full after the meal. However i don\'t really like the coleslaw in swensens. Maybe it\'s just me because i\'m not a coleslaw person.baked rice
Venue: Very hard to find due to the construction around the MRT. Service: Slow and unattentive. I stood at the waffle station for 10 minutes before anyone came over. At the ice cream station, it was the same story. I\'m straining my neck looking for some one to serve, trying to get the attention of the staff, but they seem to excel at pretending they are busy and did not see me. One patron was so mad from waiting for service that she actually yelled out "HEY COME OVER HERE". The staff just stand around chatting. Same in the Bugis branch. Value: You get loaded up easily on the pancakes and waffles and then have little room left for the ice creams! Not worth it unless you ONLY have ice creams. Food: There\'s a strawberry chocolate fondue and a white chocolate fondue. Lot\'s of toppings to choose from. Not good quality of course - just the basic quality. Lots of ice creams and gelati to choose from. Lots of cakes and slices as well. Had their sundaes in another visit and those were decent enough. Very average food and quality. Things seem to have been sitting there a while. Doesn\'t look too hygienic either.
It was just a girls day out. We were walking and don\'t know where to go and eat. So we decided to go to Swensen. Heard there were a few new dishes as well. So why not try it out. We bought Cream of mushroom the soup of the day which was really good, Omlette with Mushroom and cheese but they gave the wrong one with chicken and cheese. the food was given to us late. Cony dog, i don\'t quite like the hot dog cos there was this after taste which tasted a bit like medicine to me. BUT THE BUN WAS GOOD. which was also served late. Ham and cheese, which was really good. Too cheesy but cousin love it. Last one before i move on to the dessert it was Spicy Sardine Pizza. This is new. They don\'t have the mushroom and cheese. So sad. but Never mind this pizza was really good. Spicy especially. For dessert we ordered Sticky Chewy Chocolate and GingerBread House( this is specially for the Christmas Season)tasted really good. DO TRY THIS OUT!
Venue: Had window seating so could people watch. Service: Slow. No one comes to refill water. Staff standing around, not really doing much. Have to try really hard to get their attention. They pretend they can\'t see you unless you yell. Value: Food\'s not great. Very average. Food: Chips were bad! Soggy, limp, skinny chips are gross! Had burgers, which were just bordering average, being closer to BELOW average. Fills you up because of the big burger buns, but otherwise, food\'s pretty gross for a sit-down resto.
the best thing on swensens menu has to be the two hot plate dessert, rocky road and apple crumble. both of them just taste so good and sinful and my girlfriend just love the rocky road so much that normally we will order one whenever we visit the restaurant. as for the other main dishes they are not bad either so there is always something suitable for everyoneSpending: Approximately SGD 20(Lunch)
So I’m a big fan of beef, and hence I ordered the double cheese beef burger. Beef was juicy and tender! Love it! Portion was just right, definitely worth the price. The salad that came along with it tasted just as good. Just that serving of salad should be bigger. However they need to improve on their service!
Hot U.S fries & dips and pesto salmon from Swensen. Crispy hot fries served with bbq sauce and tartar sauce. I find it crispy but not oily. The grilled salmon drizzled in pesto sauce, served with mash potato and seasonal vegetables. I don\'t like the mash potato because the milk taste is too strong. Salmon was cooked outer layer and the inner layer was just 75% cooked. Very high standard of cooking skill.
This is wagyu beef fried rice from swensen. Wagyu beef is top quality beef that really expensive. I find the price of this wagyu beef fried rice is rather acceptable so i ordered it. The beef dice is juicy. But i guess the chef overcook one side of the beef while they grill it so i can see some parts are burnt. The fried rice is just average and nothing special or surprise me. I think swensen is still better in western food.
Swensen is quite famous with their ice cream cake. So i try it for very first time. It has a combinatio of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavours of ice cream. On top is peach and dark chocolate piece. Shredded white chocolates are at the bottom side. I don\'t really like it. The peach is really freeze and unable to bite. I must wait until defrost. By then the peach has become soft and disgusting.
ice cream time! shared this plate with 3 of my friends. My friend said: i always have another stomach for dessert although i was already full. I guess this is what almost all women would say. The ice cream is smooth and fine, With other ingredients like fruits, chocolate, etc. Swensen\'s ice cream is something that i hope to have and the food hers is nice too.
Went there with friend for dinner. I ordered The fish and chip. It was not bad. I tried eating their frank meals and I was too bloated even before I finish because it so feeling. They have laksa now but I haven\'t tried those but I saw my neighbour having it and it sure loves nice. I love the all time favourite banana split and earthquake where you can mix all your favourite flavours and enjoy it big time. So if you are wondering what to have tonight and want to have a main course and dessert at the same time. It\'s a good choice to go to Swensens tonight as the variety in their menu is more and you sure have a wide variety to choose from.
Since dad\'s got some Swenson\'s vouchers from Citibank and I\'ve got a complimentary ice cream voucher from M1, we decided to visit the restaurant nearest to our home for my spaghetti fix.Ordered the Spaghetti Aglio Olio.Love the strong garlic flavor and the portion was just good enough for me.However, I need to note that the spaghetti wasn\'t cooked evenly.I found 2 pieces which are hardened.Other than that, the taste was splendid and I love how the added chili padi in.As dessert, I ordered the chocolate crunch. Not something that I order normally. The yummy coco crunch gave the chocolate icecream a twist of crunchiness in it\'s softness.
How can you say no to a scoop of traditional vanilla ice cream on a blondie (a light-colored version of the brownie)? Swensen’s jazzes it up by serving it on a sizzling plate. Upon serving, the waiter pours maple butter syrup over it and showers it with chopped up almonds, peanuts and pistachios. Watch your tongue though, as the brownie is quite hot. Awesome dessert, and goes really well with coffee.
If you’re eating at Swensen’s, make sure to leave room in your tummy for their yummy desserts.Opt for the banana split, if you\'re in the mood for something familiar and traditional. It\'s got the usual -- three kinds of ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry) topped with chocolate fudge, pineapple, fresh banana slices and nuts. The serving is big enough for 2, and is quite a delicious end to a meal.
Recently ate lunch with my mum at this restaurant, chose it due to its 1-for-1 deal, which was overall quite worth it. I chose the Apricot Mayo Fish & Chips, which was quite good, as I like the slightly tangy sauce with a hint of flavour, which gave its fried fish a great taste, however I do wish that they gave a larger portion of french fries, as I felt it was a meagre serving, but the size of the fish that they served were rather large, so was satisfactory in that sense My mum liked the pesto king prawn pasta, which had a great savoury flavour to it, and the sauce was good! Prawns were fresh as well However, they could do with a bigger portion.
i went to swensen’s for lunch the other day. The one for one promotion is back and my friends and I could not resist the temptation of not only the nice food but also the cheap price. I ordered their black pepper seafood pasta. There were a variety of seafood on the plate, from clam, fish and crabstick. The black pepper sauce is really delicious, goes well with the spaghetti and seafood. As a whole it is really worth the money. I paid less than $10 for such delicious food!
Swensen\'s came to Singapore in 1979 and won the hearts of many with delicious ice cream sundaes in a warm, unpretentious ambience and a casual atmosphere. Swensen\'s has developed over the years to become a restaurant chain offering not only ice cream, but fun and friendly casual-dining with a wide selection of hearty food, desserts, beverages, ice cream cakes and takeaway novelties. Swensen\'s the name that all of us are familiar with, the place is famous for its ice cream. Swensen\'s household name in Singapore. I love dining at Swensen\'s, so we went to West Mall Swensen\'s for lunch this afternoon at around 12.00 noon. Quite surprise that there is no queue and the place is not crowded, so we happily stand at the entrance to wait for someone to serve us. It was the first time my mother visited this outlet though and the waitress was quite prompt in allocating us to our table & being served with menu. Swensen\'s seems to have incorporated a few wagyu dishes into the menu. After telling my mother that for the main course, fish and chip is the all time favourite & its side dish is French fries, which admittedly is larger and crispier than those at McDonald. However, my mum ordered the Fish W Apricot plus $5 Top-Up set while my colleague and I decided to try something new which is Mac N Cheese and Mushroom Baked Rice because in his opinion, the baked rice is one of the best dish on its menu. It is more delicious than those in Pizza Hut or Pasta mania. The last order was having FireHouse Ice-cream Birthday. My collegaue and my mother thought that Ben & Jerry, Island Creamery and many more are dominating the ice-cream market, but I told them that Swensen\'s today is still going strong despite the increasing competition. They now offer more options for mains, like salads, and more side dishes as well. Total damage was $48.73 for 3 person. Conclusion: Everything was perfect and I\'ll try the salmon main course during the next visit. Please visit www.swensens.com.sg for more details on this Western Restaurant under ABR Holdings Limited.
It has been long time since i had swensens. Therefore, I went to the swensens near my house for a simple lunch not too long. I decided to order fish baked rice for lunch The fish is tendy and the cheese is really cheesy I had also ordered a soup as a side dish to warm up my day The soup is also equally good ^^ ! It is not too creamy, it is just nice. The food was served quickly and the service was surprisingly great as they are fast and efficiently. In addition, this swensen\'s outlet at Northpoint has been more than 10 years. Their newly renovated concept has also add on points to the dining environment. It would be best to bring your family along to dine together and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere there
With three main dishes, the bruschetta came free under Swensen’s 1-for-1 lunch promo. The tomato salsa was quite good,if you like it sweet. The garlic bread tasted a bit sweet as well. Given the lunch crowd, it took time for the appetizer to reach our table. We had to eat it quickly, as the moisture had seeped into the bread and made it very soft. Mine crumbled to pieces when I picked it up.
Quite tasty and appetizing, the sirloin steak comes with potatoes garnished with caramelized onions on one side, with an assorted array of peppers on the other.Served with a choice of sauces: barbeque, sambal or black pepper, the steak is quite filling and makes for a very good (and quite pricey) lunch. Brace yourself for a bit of a wait though, as cooking time (plus the number of customers in-house) affects how fast your meal can be served.Given Swensen’s current 1-for-1 promo, it’s a small miracle to get seats during the lunch hour.
For my sister\'s birthday, my family went down to celebrate with a birthday dinner. After dinner, instead of the usual birthday cake, we ordered ice cream of different flavours and stuck a candle in the centre. The ice cream was delicious! The ice cream was creamy and rich with the flavours. Absolutely delicious!
i love the pasta from swensen’s. my favourite is their chili crab pasta. I like the idea that they use soft shell crab instead of the normal hard shell crab. It is so much easier to eat. Despite the soft shell crab being the main star of the dish, there is fish and mushrooms in the dish. Even though it is called chilli crab, it is not spicy at all. And the sauce is very tasty.
A group of us and I went to Swensens to celebrate my friend\'s birthday. We ordered a lot of things and once we were done with all the food, one of my friends enquired one of the staff regarding any discounts they had for the birthday girl. We were all definitely very surprised when the staff said that they give complementary ice cream to people celebrating their birthday and all that\'s required is proof of their birth date. My friend was then served this huge plate containing ice cream, whipped cream, cherries and a banana in the middle with a candle litted at the top. We were obviously very surprised that Swensens did such things for their customers and the birthday girl was truly delighted. The complementary ice cream served had a few different flavours such as Strawberry and Chocolate and as always, Swensens ice cream is of great quality. All in all, this was definitely a great experience and the food (apart from the ice cream) was above average. The service was great as well!
Decided to give the sizzling pan a miss as it seemed somewhat too sinful for a dinner snack. I wished stuck to my initial plan... The mudpie came identical to the one showed in the menu but the Hazelnut Cappuccino was such a let down. The mudpie, on an overall, was very dry. The top of the mudpie was layered with some caramel sauce on what I think was vanilla. Things got slightly better from the middle where the brownie was, down to the cappuccino flavour. If you\'re looking for something moist, this is a miss for you. Sweet tooth lovers may find this to their liking but only go for it if you are bored of the same old menu.
Swensen\'s Fish & Chip is my comfort food! At times when i cant decide on what other things to try from Swensens i just order Fish & Chips. Nothing can ever go wrong. Love their chips and battered fish.Somehow their size seems to be smaller by every visit hmm but nevertheless its a good mealThe servers were nice to re fill my tar tar sauce!
I am really disappointed with the service at Swensens Dhoby Ghaut. My mum and I were waiting outside for about 2 minutes before one of the staff actually bothered to attend to us. The rest of them saw us but chose to ignore. I was craving for pizza so I ordered the Spicy Sardine. It is a new dish in Swensens, so I decided to give it a try.It took quite long for the food to be served to us. The pizza looked really spicy. The taste was really good. It was indeed really spicy due to the chilli padi. However, the crust was really thin. Other than that, the spicy sardine pizza is a must try at Swensens,
i went to swensen for dinner the other day with my family. I was kind of spoilt for choice as I did not know what to order. When I flipped to the pasta page, I made my choice. I ordered the chili crab pasta. It was so delicious! the chili crab is actually deep fried soft shell crab. It was so crispy yet juicy. in the pasta, there were different ingredients as well like fish slices. It was so delicious. I really enjoyed the food!
Since i always order Black pepper seafood, i thought why not we try the fish and chips in swensens. the fish was really good. crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. Dip it with the tartar sauce. the fries were really well fried. and the coleslaw was really tasty with pineapples. but i don\'t really fancy that so i didn\'t eat it. Overall fish and chips is very very tasty.
Went for lunch with my family yesterday and I decided to share something with my dad so we ordered their BBQ chicken pizza. It was horrible.Firstly, there was NO BBQ sauce on it at all so it tasted nothing like a BBQ pizza.Secondly, the crust was so thin and hard.Thirdly, the toppings were all spilling out! I thought the service was also really bad.My pizza took half an hour to arrive and when I asked the waitress, she said hadn\'t heard me just now so it wasn\'t part of the order. I was really frustrated as I was already so hungry. One of my worst experiences at swensens yet!
Decided to try swensen\'s Chicken Baked Rice for a change as I always go for something spicy, like their curry chicken baked rice. I didn\'t quite like the baked rice as it wasn\'t as cheesy as I expected it to be.It is partially a good thing because it didn\'t make me feel like puking halfway through it BUT beneath the cheesy layer on top,the rice at the bottom tasted like plain white rice(probably because it wasn\'t baked properly). Will definitely stick to my usual curry chicken baked rice next time!
lunch at swensen today! i had curry chicken baked rice. it tasted spicy and chicken was really tender and soft. there was also the cracker on top of the dish. it tasted abit bitter. didn\'t quite like it but if you were to eat it with the rice it would taste really great!
Here we go another celebration! bought a cake in swensen. the topping were all fruits like strawberries, blueberries, raspberry and some cherries. basically it\'s a fruity cake with strawberry ice-cream filled in between the sponge. Those of you who like fruity flavour cake then you go for this one. you will like it
the marshmallow brownie is very sinful but very nice to eat esp when u share the sweetness with friends. normally there is the 1 for 1 lunch promo so is quite a steal to eat lunch at swensens BUT the service at holland v outlet is pretty bad coz they r severely under staff. so we always had to wait very long for our food to be ordered and prepared. but dinner time was ok coz normally there r not many pple around esp after 8pmSpending: Approximately SGD 15(Lunch)
The dish i need to have whenever i make an order is HOT US. FRIES. They come with tartar sauce and tomato sauce..the fries will be hot and crispy. ever since i order this fries for the first time i am in love with them. i would go to there just for the fries. it\'s only $5.50 and they are not really salty. Next time you go swensen make sure you order the fries.Spending: Approximately SGD 5
Met up with my cousins for dinner and I ordered the Black pepper seafood pasta.I like my food spicy and it said in the menu that this dish was more spicy than the others so I ordered this It came with clams, crab stick, mushroom, etc. And YES,it WAS spicy!I loved it the moment I tried it! The amount of black pepper and everything in it was just right. Worth a try for all the seafood and spice lovers out there! Spending: Approximately SGD 20
Thanks to a birthday 1-for-1 voucher, we finally decided to try out the Swensen\'s ice cream cum dessert buffet available at its Ion branch. We first tried the cakes at the buffet counter. Sadly they were disappointing. Mostly too dry, except the New York Cheesecake which is an ice cream cake & it\'s pretty nice. But still can be improved because it felt too frozen! hahaThe warm waffle was very crispy. Though a bit weird to put on the waffle, but it was a delight to have found the Sarsi ice cream in the buffet since Sarsi had been my childhood favourite hee. The Wild Wild Berries ice cream was very smooth & yummy too. The original buffet price is $18.90++ if you do not order any other food, but costs $12.90++ wif any food order. We both think that Swensen\'s desserts can be missed (except the waffles), but the numerous ice cream flavours & toppings available are wonderful!Spending: Approximately SGD 10(Tea)
Wanted to have something light and being the cheese lover that I am,I happened to pass by Swensens and spot the Mozarella Cheese sticks on the menu.Instantly went in and ordered that. The first time I ate it,i was sooo in love with it.But after awhile I got a little sick of it.I initially expected the cheese to be abit melted and ooze out but the cheese was very stuck together and rubbery. Prefer pastamania\'s cheese sticks! Spending: Approximately SGD 8
i thought of going for light snack and the only thing which came to my mind was Swensen\'s mozzarella cheese stick. Whenever i go to dine in at swensen, i will have to always order this dish. you can dip it in with chilli sauce and eat it. it will double the taste. the cheese stick is so awesome that i would even think about ordering it again. but i won\'t cos need to control myself. So if you got swensen, do try this dishSpending: Approximately SGD 7
If you go to swensens, trying the Hot US fries is a must!! It\'s really good! Unlike the fries at usual fast food outlets, the Swensens fried are very much less salty and they\'re fried to a very nice golden colour. It comes together with tartar sauce and another sauce which tastes more to tomato sauce. If you\'re not a fan of tomato sauce, you can always ask for chilli sauce and it goes really well with the fries too! Spending: Approximately SGD 6
Swensen\'s ice cream cake is definitely one of the nicest ice cream cake i ever tried! the outlook of the ice cream cake is very smoothing and lovely! and after the first bite, you don\'t even think of stopping. we order the strawberry ice cream cake and there is real fruit in it. Wonderful!
To satisfy our craving for dessert, my friend and I visited Clementi Mall\'s Swensens and decided upon their Walnut Rocky Road which looked very tempting in the menu. When it was finally served, we were so impatient to dig in as it smelt and looked so good!! It definitely was up to our expectations and was indeed mouth watering. The scoop of Sticky Chewy Chocolate ice cream was generous and it went well with Chocolate Walnut Pie which was drizzled with Butterscotch Cream sauce and marshmallows as well as the almonds and chocolate chips served. However we were a little disappointed as the base of the pie was a little too burnt as compared to my previous experiences.
Being someone who absolutely loves desserts, my friend and I visited Swensens at Marina Square recently and decided upon the Chocolate Fondue. The Chocolate Fondue came with 5 different ice cream flavours; Sticky Chewy Chocolate, Strawberry, Thin Mint, Almond Mocha Fudge and lastly, Cookies and Cream. Also, there were cherries, strawberries, bananas, wafers, marshmallows and chocolate profiteroles. The fondue most certainly did not disappoint with it\'s right thickness and taste. However, I wish that the flavours of the ice cream could be chosen by the customer instead as my friend and I are not fans of Mint or Strawberry ice cream. However other than not having the option of choosing the ice cream flavours, the ingredients served were in generous portions and went really well when dipped in the chocolate fondue.
Taking a break from shopping in Ion, my friends and I decided to head to Swensens when the hunger pangs finally kicked in. We ordered quite a few dishes but I\'ll be reviewing the Black Pepper Seafood Pasta. The Black Pepper Seafood Pasta is served with fish fillet, clams, crabsticks and of course, comes in a generous serving of black pepper sauce! The ingredients served were in a generous portion and I felt full and satisfied after just eating 3/4 of the pasta. Will definitely be heading back for more!
Had lunch at Swensens before sending my friend off at the airport. We order the volcano for dessert and the 5 of us began to indulge in the super awesome ice cream! Some of us ordered banana split too, which is my favourite. The peanuts and banana really go very well with the ice cream. Yummilicious ice cream
My best friend and I decided to have dessert at Swensens. The ice cream in Swensens is always served in big glasses, enough to be shared among 2 people. We ordered the chocolate crunch. There is a chocolate waffle, hot fuge syrup and crispy chocolate morsels. The morsels are my favourite. It is not bitter and there is not too much chocolate unlike the chocolate balls, and it is crispy. I like the chocolate crunch as it is not bitter. I am not a fan of bitter chocolate. I enjoyed this ice cream a lot.
Used to eat at Swensen\'s regularly but the standards have dropped tremendously so I stopped eating there for a while. Initially wanted to head somewhere else for late dinner but eventually decided on Swensen\'s and i ordered a lamb chop which comes with mint jelly, U.S potatoes and seasonal vegetables. It was a little over-grilled as the meat is abit tough.service is average and the waiters are not very attentive.everything is average here, nothing to impress us and not much to pick.
Went there on a weekday night and thank god there was no queue. We had ordered 2 types of sundaes. The sticky chewy chocolate was not up to expectation, it tasted of cheap street $1 per cup ice cream that belittle its premium price. Very disappointing as we expected better. The taste is not at all"sticky" nor "chewy" and tastes overlky sweet. However, the brownie was pretty good. The brownie was enveloped with a thin, slightly crunchy crust that melts in the mouth before my teeth sank moist chocolate-ness. The ambience quite good.
Ordered Banana split for $8.90 with three choices of flavours and I chose hazelnut, durian and sticky chewy chocolate. Banana split is a must order dish at swensen. I have also ordered a French fries as a side course; it is wonderful with the addition of the tar tar sauce.
Never did expect that the service at Swensen can be so lousy. Despite the fact that the restaurant was not busy (there were still empty seats though it was dinner time), the staff ignored/forgot my request for tartar sauce despite 2 reminders. When I informed that the manager that of this service lapse, she couldn\'t be bothered to acknowledge my request/feedback (and of course, did not apologised!). She simply just walked away and came back 3 minutes later with the tartar sauce without saying a single word. Really disappointing! Standard of the food is also not impressive. I tried the oriental lemongrass fish ($16.50) which I will not recommend anyone as I think that taste of the lemongrass sauce is not something most people will like (as it tasted a bit strange). To sum up, ice-cream is probably the only thing which you can order in Swensen, provided you don\'t mind the poor service.
If you\'re not feeling very hungry but wanna eat something small. You can always pop by swensens for their side dishes - Fries. Usually when i\'m feeling alittle hungry, i\'ll go to swensens for the fries as a light snack with my friend. One portion is too big for a person so share with someone haha! The fries comes with mayo and tomato sauce and chilli sauce. One thing i like about the fries is that it\'s not very oily and it\'s straight cut. Other than fries, swensens have a wide range of main dishes and ice cream dessert. Gotta try their icecream again one day, maybe new flavours ?
I tried swensens\' Sourdough 49ers Chicken and i like it alot. However, i don\'t think swensens still have it now because i went to check the latest menu and they didn\'t indicate this on their website. I hope they still have it because it\'s delicious. The sourdough chicken buns were rather pathetically small, as you can see below; however the serving of fries did help. Although the burger is quite small, i still managed to get full after the meal. However i don\'t really like the coleslaw in swensens. Maybe it\'s just me because i\'m not a coleslaw person. One negative thing is that the waiting time is quite long. I was starving already when the food arrived. Spending: Approximately SGD 14(Lunch)
This mooncake season, I had tried various type of mooncake - snow skin, traditional, Teo Chew Yam Paste, frozen mango pomelo and nonetheless ice cream moon cake from Swensens which I saved it to the last to enjoy bits and pieces of it.The skin of the mooncake is not very thick which is good, after all it is the ice cream which is the key ingredients here! And at Swensens, they serve quality ice cream. Thus, whatever flavours you choose, it will turn out to be good ultimately!I just can\'t have enough of the mooncakes, every bite is so heavenly good that I have to fightfor my share of mooncake with him. I should have buy more than a box of the ice cream mooncake! It was such a waste that I only bought one box of the ice cream mooncake...just can\'t get enough of it. What\'s more it cost $26.90 for a box of 4!
Finally we are graduating soon, our \'Mentor\' (Teacher-in-charge) decided to treat the 21 of us to Swensens. All of us was surprised and met each other outside Bishan Control Station at 1pm for our lunch. As there were too many people, we were separated into 3 tables with about 14 people who arrived. To save the cost for our lecturer, we ordered some dishes to share. There were fries, fordue, salad, brownie with icecream. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Out of all these, I love the brownie with ice cream. The taste was heavenly. The warm brownie with the combination of the cold Vanilla icecream was GREAT. I am sure everyone will enjoy this dessert very much.
In helping with the School\'s Open House, I was given a 1 for 1 voucher to enjoy Swensen Ice cream buffet. I found it rather quite affordable and thus decided to ask one of my friend to join in. We went to Swensen (Orchard Ion). Instead of seeing different varieties of ice cream, there are mini pancake, (fruits, mashmellow, biscuit stick to dip on to white and chocolate fordue) and cakes. It was Marvellous, but I can be true to tell that this buffet wont last long. It was extremely sweet which can make oneself feel \' SICK\' about it. Therefore, I dont think it will be worth to enjoy this buffet without 1 for 1 offer. However, if you are those who love sweet treats, do come with friends to enjoy it. Although it sinful, but I\'m sure you will love it.Other than justeating all the sweet buffet foods, we decided to add 2 snacks ( Fried mushroom and toriyaki) into it. This will help us to prevent feeling \'SICK\' too fast (((:In conclusion, the ice cream buffet should eat along with some \'Salty\' snacks all accompany with a cup of plain water
Good place to come for after meal ice cream. i highly recommend their apple or banana crumble sizzling pans. Even though the menu says each sizzling pan serves two, I suggest you share with a third person because unless you are really hungry, this dish is hard to polish off. Also, if you do not have a sweet tooth, then it might be better to go for other dessert alternatives like dark chocolate ice cream. My favourite main course would be the curry chicken baked rice, VERY fragrant. All my friends were really jealous because my baked rice smelled so good. The only complaint would be to make it less oily – I felt really guilty looking at the oil while eating! Other dishes we ordered were the mushroom baked rice(see image) and fish and chips. I felt that the mushroom baked rice was too cheesy, no complaints with the fish and chips.
I can never get enough of Swensen\'s ice cream. There are just so many choices and each tastes so fabulously good. This outlet is located at a corner of Ion Orchard. We were here on a weekday for lunch, and there was not much of a crowd. Only a few tables were filled with working adults. Other than the ala carte menu, this outlet has ice cream buffet too. There is a wide range of ice cream and toppings, tempting me to try it the next time I come here again!
I was having a bdae celebration in the evening and as i loved Swensens ice-cream cake, i decided to get 1 frm the outlet which I was near to. My best fren was with me & we went to choose the designs tgt. The Swensens at Toa Payoh currently has some renovations done nearby, so it was pretty noisy; there werent any customers when i went to get the cake, but then it wasnt dinnertime yet too. There were alot of choices, & i was deciding among 6 different cakes frm the classic range. Finally decided on the cookies & cream one, since not many ppl can appreciate those with alot of fruits on top (like my brother) & those made frm coffee. They gave us the cake in a cardboard box (take-away), with dry ice that the cashier said could last abt 45mins up till 1hr. I was to rush home to put it into the freezer. My fren carried the box for me while i went to flag a cab (haha, i was super afraid the cake would melt on us ). The cake, as usual, was up to my expectation. It was delicious & the 1kg cake was soon finished (not abit was left)! The ice cream just melts in the mouth & is kinda creamy. There were some cookies & strawberries placed on top too. In all, Swensens is a great place to get ur ice-cream cakes from!
Swensens @ Holland Village is a 2 story outlet that is opened 24 hours. It is seldom crowded but the seating arrangements are not conducive for large group gatherings so do not plan one here. Nevertheless, if you are feeling hungry after a night of drinking at the pubs in Holland V and crave something fried, this is a good place to do. Or if you want a dessert. Service here is rather prompt and though the toilets could be cleaner. As for the food, i had a Fish and Chip (see below). The fish was a little dry but otherwise quality of food wasn\'t that bad.
Went there last night at around 8pm and it was not too crowded and i had the seat facing the Pan Pacific and it was brightly lit up because that\'s the Formula 1 racing area next week. Ordered the Ocean crunch salad at $13.50 and it was served in a big ceramic white salad bowl with 2 big spoons. Mixed greens like romaine lettures which were not crisp enough, sliced thin carrots, cherry tomatoes halfed, sliced black olive and very disappointing purple sliced cabbages and instead of seeing fresh white stems from the purple cabbages, they had all turned brown. On top of these mixed veggies are fish fingers, calamari and breaded prawns served with the so called pineapple BBQ dressing but it taste more like thousand island to me without any hind of pineapples. Overall i will not order this dish again as it\'s nothing special and the deep fried are with thick skins and oily which are not to my liking.
Oriental lemon grass Barramundi at $16.50. Nicely poached Barramundi fish fillet which is very fresh as this fish has a fishy smell if it\'s not so fresh, topped with lemon glass sauce which is creamy but i can\'t really taste or smell lemon glass, mashed pototoes which is freshly make, small cherry tomatoes and broccoli and on a separate serving is the pineapple BBQ dressing but it taste more like thousand island and when i asked the lady server what is the dressing make of,she told me she\'s not sure but will check and upon returning told me its make of pineapple.I asked her pinapple and what else,she\'s not sure.Next is a guy server and i asked him the same question,he told me it\'s make of pinapple juice and that\'s all ???Maybe next time i should ask for the chef!
My family like to eat Swensens\'s ice cream so whenever we pass by any Swensen,we could even just go in to buy us each a cone. Ordered 2 kg of chocolate swirl ice cream cake at $80 from Swensen Tampines outlet .The chocolate cake is as usual very delicious from the thick chocolate ice cream but the only setback is the difference between home delivery and self collections. They will only explain to you the extra charges for delivery but they don\'t tell you there is a difference in the packaging too. When i went to self collect on the 8th June at 5pm,i was told to consume the cake within 2-3 hours or else they will melt.I then ask them for the dry ice but they told me such packaging is only for delivery. So next time when i need to order Swensen\'s ice cream again, i will have to order home delivery as well as make sure timing is close to the time to consume least it will melt.
i\'m not a fans of swensens i find that their food is just so so but charge abit expensive their ice cream not as nice as ben & jerry or hagen daaz i find that their ice cream got a very strong milk taste which i don\'t really like but i do like their chicken baked rice chicken is just so so,not very soft but alot of cheese i like the pulling feel of eating the cheese the service over there is not very good i waited for over 30mins for the food to be served even a small banana ice cream spiltz also need about 30mins =.=
Was feeling tired after shopping with friends. Had a craving for ice-cream and decided to eat ice-cream at Swensens. Since there was a few of us, I decided to order their signature ice-cream Earthquake. We had a great time selecting the favors, each of us select one favour, I choose a scope of strawberry and was not disappointed. The ice cream came with generous toppings and we enjoyed ourselves.
I\'m a regular at Swensens Toa Payoh\'s outlet as i\'m normally there on weekends for my massages and having their breakfast which served till 11am. Also the outlet is not too crowded and each time i\'m free to use the newspaper provided by the outlet which they placed on the first table from the entrance so we just help ourselve. My regular breakfast menu is the spinach with toast, egg benedicts, tomatoes and mushrooms which comes in a small container and is very rich ,creamy and tasty and the whole set at $9.90++ comes with either coffee or tea and either orange or apple jiuces. Also i\'m their Swensens Rewards Card holder and especially on my birthday month, i could enjoy free sundaes which i had claimed on all 8 weekends this year! Just spend $50 in one visit and you could apply for the free membership card which entitles you to a free drink whenever you are in any Swensens and you may top up just $1 to change the free drink into any premiums from the premiums drink menu.Every dollar spend will also enjoy points.Spending: Approximately SGD 13(Breakfast)
After having not gone to Swensens for more than over a year, I decided to give it a go and try out their new dishes they offered, and oh boy, they sure did listen to their customers\' suggestions and beefed up the menu! Over there, my family and I ordered bruschetta (toasted baguette pieces with salsa and garnishing), cookies and cream shake, marshmallow latte, pesto seafood pasta, grilled salmon, beef lasagna, quarter chicken and ice cream cake! Sounds absolutely delicious, doesn\'t it? The food was all very good, so overall, it was a great dining experience. However, I do wish they had larger portions, I still felt slightly peckish even after the main course.
Tinking since my brother\'s birthday was near & my family often goes to Swensen\'s for dinner, i decided to surprise my brother on his birthday by bringing the whole family to Swensen @ IMM to celebrate. The place was not very crowded despite it being dinner time, so i didnt have to wait to get a place for 6. Menu was quite intensive, with some new items added which i didn\'t see from my last visit. We ordered quite alot of food, plus a 1kg birthday cake since there was no small cake available. Their mushroom soupwas served in a sourdough breadbowl, & the taste was nice. Other foods we ordered include prawn and fruit salad, caesar salad and caesar salad with breaded chicken (we\'re a salad family, haha), portions are quite small (& quite ex)though, so try to order other food. The thing i liked about their menu was that the heathy symbol was beside those healthier choices, allowing patrons to make a better & informed choice. We also had baked rice, chicken baked rice, curry chicken baked rice, and mushroom baked rice. They had crackers on top of the curry chicken baked rice, a nice touch to it! There\'s free parking at IMM, but parking spaces are usually full, even during wkdays, so do try to take public transport if possible~!
Very randomly we didn\'t know what to have, and we walked in to Swensens again.Hawaiian Pizza The pizza here is much better than pizza hut! Not only it looks more appealing but also it is much tasty.Mac & Cheese The Mac & Cheese is not that cheesy which is good and I like the creamy like soup in it.Fish & Chips At Swensens, Fish & Chips will never go wrong. I like the fish which is not to overly batter and the fries is to die for. The coleslaw here is unique, there\'s pineapple added on top of it which further enhance the taste of the coleslaw. It looks like we didn\'t eat anything for ages
We were supposed to have our breakfast at the Landing Bar & Grill but it was out of operation so we headed to Swensens since we didn\'t try their breakfast before. Breakfast at Swensens come with 1 hot and 1 cold beverages e.g. coffee/tea, orange juice or apple juice.Classic Pancake I had the classic pancake set. I like how they serve the breakfast set with the mushroom side as the appetizer. Beside the hush brown, their breakfast is actually quite healthy with the tomato serve! So why not have your breakfast at Swensens? There were a lot of families who came for their breakfast too! But if you ask me Mac or Swensens breakfast, I will say for price Mac, for quality and healthier breakfast Swensens!
I had a coupon for a complimentary single scoop ice-cream which expires by the end of this month. Seeing as the end of the month is tomorrow, I decided to utilise my coupon today. I went for the hazelnut ice cream which was quite nice, I would say one of the better flavours in Swensen. If only they had added some crushed hazelnuts with the ice cream, it would be better. Surprisingly for a holiday, the restaurant is quite empty, but that is probably because I went at 3pm which is after lunch hours.
Swensens\' mega burger hang out with friends and ended up having lunch at Swensens\'. I ordered the Mega burgers as I always wanted to try their burgers. The burger is quite huge one, with nicely toasted burger bun and lots of stuffs inside. Veggies are fresh, inside there are sunny egg, thick beef patty and a slice of cheese. Fries are nice too.Swensens\' spicy crab spaghetti The crab is deep fried and so it was crispy. Spaghetti is al dente, with tomato based sauce. This is quite nice.
Swensens..! This name sounds great. Everytime when i pass by the shop,i saw lots of people. This make me wanna to have a try. This dish is quite nice. Amount of mushroom is enough for me. But, it taste like a normal spaghetti, not much of special.I like this dish. I like the chili sauce and fish. The fish is quite fresh and it is soft. It is also not very oily. The chili sauce make the fish taste nicer, just like thai spicy fish.It looks like what is it\'s name right..? Ya,indeed it is. The sauce is nice,i like the spiciness. The ingredient inside is like the ingredient for curry, for exp:lady finger, tomatoes, etc. And the cheese is quite ok also.I like ice-cream,especially banana boat. This is nice, especially when i eat the ice-cream with the peanut. Down there got peanut, some fruits and fruit\'s sauce. It\'s nice.~ But, for me, the price of this shop is quite high. I will visit Swensens again if i get money..!!
i always come to swensen, probably one of the most fulfilling ice-creams in Singapore for earthquake! This earth-shaking extravaganza combining 8 scoops of old fashioned ice cream and rich toppings: chocolate fudge, hot fudge, butterscotch, banana, hot caramel, strawberry, pineapple jam, marshmallow, mixed almonds, whipped cream and cherries. More than enough for your frozen fix and sweet crave! Great family-dining establishment. Good atmosphere, good service, and excellent ice cream selections available. For all ice cream lovers and couples out there, come and indulge yourself with their earthquake!~
i went to swensens with my girlfriend for some snacks. she told me that her friends said that swensens salad is really good and thought we gave it a try. we ordered the prawn and fruit salad. we were surprised at the size of the bowl. it was huge. the portion of the fruits and prawn were really a lot. the dressing is mango yoghurt, a unqiue twist to the salad dish. my girlfriend vow to order this whenever we come to swensen.
I brought my kids to swensens for dessert. We shared something really fattening, the apple crumble. It is served on a sizzling pan, there is the crumble itself, vanilla ice cream, apple cubes and soaking in butterscotch sauce. I like the difference in temperature, the warm crumble with the cold ice cream. It is not too sweet cos the vanilla ice cream is not very sweet, balance out the sweetness of the ice cream.
I went to swensens for a sumptuous dinner yesterday. I made reservations for four 2 days before. However when I got there, the rude manager handed me a file and ask me to find my name, apparently the person who took down my reservations did not bother to record it. wonder why he even took down my handphone number. Luckily for us, the place was not crowded and we got a booth seat. I ordered their chicken baked rice, it was not very fascinating. Just normal… guess they need to brush up on their service here.
just hard a filling dinner, my group of friends and i headed to swensens for dinner. we ordered an ice cream to share. we chose the topless five. the selection of ice cream from swensen is wide, but not all the ice cream is our favourites. we each choose a flavour, i chose my favourite blackforest. i never tasted anywhere that sells this flavour.
don\'t be fooled by the photos! the meatballs were weird... like some mashed up meat loaf scooped into a ball shape... not really meatballs at all. the mashed potato... OMG... it\'s like made of powder with water... no potato taste at all... not sure what i am eating at all. the burger is another meatloaf thing shaped into a patty. not a real burger patty at all. meatloaf = fillers. service is super slow. waited for like 30 minutes to get the burger. no one seems to really want to attend. very weird food at this place. not recommended.
If you love ice cream, then i suggest you to come for ice cream buffet at swensen ion! really cool and a opportunity for you to satisfy your craving for ice creams all at one shot!
Swensens is still people choice when it comes to casual food. There was queue form and we happily joined in the line. Despite having to wait, service was fast. We got a seat pretty fast. This Swensens outlet is not very specious and in fact it is a bit too narrow. You just can\'t have chair back to back. It was kind of uneasy. On their ceiling, they have these lantern like print to further advertise their mooncakes which is innovative. I like the design of it. While looking at their menu, I couldn\'t decide what to have as they have too much to offer! It is no longer the fish and chips or cutlet choice. These days they have Wagyu Beef and a lot more.Cream of Chicken The soup was nice, very creamy and savory.Chili Crab Pasta Price $16.90 Unlike the usual Caborana pasta, the Chili Crab Pasta was totally opposite taste of that. The taste was exotic and somehow it was kind of exciting because this taste was quite new and it kept me excited to find out what\'s was used in the sauce. After finishing the whole pasta I still couldn\'t figure it out what\'s in the sauce. It tasted a bit sour and sweet then a bit of the chili taste. Oh, and the soft shell crab was nice!Breaded Chicken Price $12.90 I had a small bite of the Breaded Chicken and it was juicy! It wasn\'t those ordinary chicken cutlet. The fries at Swensens is always one of my favourite ever since I was a kid. The fries look plain but there\'s this element in it that make it special.Macadenia Mania Ice cream at Swensens is always that posh and nicely design. I love the big Macadenia nuts in the ice cream. It is never too full to have their ice cream as your last dish.
Ice cream at swensen’s again! I can never resist swensen’s ice cream. They have so many flavours and so many things to go with it. this time I ordered their celebrity brownie. It was so heart stopping, super delicious! the brownie is really rich topped with the light vanilla ice cream, it is indeed delicious! the vanilla ice cream, although light but very milky and creamy. Totally delicious!
My friend and I worked at chinatown so we went to swenson at chinatown point during our lunchtime. There was a crowd in the restaurant and we had to queue 10 minutes before we can get a seat. We like the dim lighting inside the restaurant and it had a laidback atmosphere. We tried the other swensons outlet and had a pleasant experience but this outlet did not dissapoint us too. There was a set lunch promotion and the chicken baked rice was creamy and i like the cheesy texture on top of the rice. The chicken strips were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. As it was my friend\'s birthday, we can get a complimentary Fire house happy birthday which consists of 3 scoops of ice cream and half slice of banana with whipped cream and cherry on top! Thanks to the helpful waitress helped us to take picture of me and my friend.
This is really quite some time back, where they still had their yam ice cream available. This is actually the Gold Rush, but I requested for a change of flavours. I just love the yam ice cream at Swensen\'s - it is very very fragrant and I can never get tired of it. I retained the coffee flavour and it is very aromatic as well. However, my favourite flavour has still got to be yam!
I had my dinner at Swensen with my hubby one evening at the Clementi mall. First the restuarant was quite spacious and hence didnt make us wait long before we get our seats. The waitress there was also very efficient and always serve us with a smile. I ordered a breaded chicken for myself and was very satisfied with it. The chicken was juicy but not oily as i squezzed lemon juice over it. The fries were crispy and the colesaw was tasty. This is one dish I always like to order in Swensen!
My mum and i rarely had the chance to sit down to eat together. Partly, is because of my schooling hours. So during this semester study break, i decided to bring my mum to swensen! We headed down to swensen for lunch. To our surprise, it was having the promotion. The promotion was ordering 1 main and u get 1 sides for free. We went in and got seated without much hesitation. As for me, I ordered the double cheeseburger!I ordered the shrimp as my sides. I am a fan of seafood thus shrimp instantly became my first choice In conclusion, my mum felt that the fish was not bad at all. The fries was great as well. I\'m a lover of thick cut fries As for my meal, i would say is so-so for the burger. Initially it was good, but the more i eat, i felt that the patty was too dry and most of the time i was drinking the plain water they provided to bring the food down my throat. The service provided by them was great. They had this bottle of water for us to filled ourselves on the table. The place was generally clean as thus making this dining lunch appealing for my mum and i.
i love ice cream... when my girlfriend and i attempted to take down swensen\'s earthquake. i was so excited and happy. the portion of ice cream was enormous and topped with whipped cream and cherries. my girlfriend kept complaining it was so sinful as the ice cream was so fattening but i feel it was indeed all worth it. the milkiness of the ice cream was so fulfilling....
It\'s everyone\'s favourite place for desserts! Love the ice cream at Swensen\'s\', the decorations and sprinkles just makes eating ice cream so much more happy and colourful Celebrated my mom\'s birthday at Swensen\'s and got her ice cream with an additional candle on it. Haha, a break away from the usual cake cutting sessions My mom enjoyed the ice cream as much as we did thank you Swensen\'s!
My cousin and I wanted to get finger food and we decided to try the rodeo wings. It was very nice. It was not spicy. There was sweet and sour sauce on the chicken wings and it gave it the extra taste. One word to descibe this dish, "Yummy". Definitely value for money.
I wanted to get something light and creamy so I got the salmon n mushroom pasta. It was ok. Nothing so great. It was too creamy.I did not expect it to be like that. It was light however, it is not a dish that i would want to eat again. The service on the other hand was very good.
I love Swensens for both their food and desserts. I\'ve been dining at Swensens since I was a kid. I used to love their kids\' meals too. This time, I only opted for the frozen yoghurt selection, since I already had dinner elsewhere. I ordered the Oreo and Hazelnut blend selection. It was really good, smooth, full of flavors and toppings and creamy.
I love Swensen\'s ice cream! Especially the chocolate flavours ice cream! It\'s delicious. I will definitely go Swensen\'s for their ice cream. (Their fish&chip is superb as well! But i think their ice cream is the best!) The long cup is the Nutty Mighty flavour. It is SO GOOD. Great for people who like a mix of chocolate and nuts. Also good for people who doesn\'t like too sweet or strong chocolate taste. If you\'re a fan of chocolate, then you must get the Sticky Chewy Chocolate! It\'s soooo chocolatey! My absolute love! The other one is the Frosted Chocolate Malt, it\'s chocolatey and lovely as well, but the malt (the brown balls which I didn\'t take photos of) is too sticky! It gets stuck on your teeth and is very uncomfortable. It\'s still nice to eat though! But I will get Sticky Chewy Chocolate the next time!
One of the best thing to eat at Swensens is their Fish & Chip. It is crispy and really smooth inside. The generous amount of golden fries complements the dish. I particularly like Swensens at Holland V as it is 24 hours and it is easy to grab dinner there. But parking space was a bit of a hassle to find. The midnight menu is limited but would be enough to fill your stomach with. The crowd was ok, you rarely see big families. Maybe big crowds of young people who don\'t sleeps at night so i prefer this outlet compared to others which are full of screaming kids. lol
My friend and I always love dining at Swensens as we love the ambience, service and not forgetting the wonderful food. I ordered the fried fish wirh apricot mayo. This is one of the new dishes in Swensens and I had to try it. It was definitely not disappointing as the fish fillet was very crispy, and the fries were fried well. The coleslaw was also quite tasty and fresh. I woud strongly recommend this dish as it tastes really good and it is also affordable.
Ice cream is my favourite and I simply love the banana boat spilt at Swensens. We have three different flavours of ice cream, banana and the waffles. The sauce dressing adds richness to the taste. It costs around $10 each. The dining area was cosy and it was chilling at Swensens for desserts with friends.Spending: Approximately SGD 10(Other)
The meatballs here are quite juicy and tender, however the taste doesn\'t have any x-factor in it. The mashed potato that go along with it is quite dry and tasteless. The clam chowder is creamy and yummy and the ingredient in it are quite generous. The \'bread container\' is also delicious too and go quite well with the clam chowder soup. These two items are available during lunch and dinner hours. My verdict: 6.5/10
A group of us went to see a friend of at changi airport at about 1am and we got kind of hungry. Most of the food places had already closed and there was only mcdonalds left. Lucky us, we noticed that swensens was open 24 hour. We hurried in and order our food. I ordered the chilli crab pasta. The crab they used is soft shell crab. It was fabulous! Good to know that there is good food open so late!
Me and my friends decided to be healthy and went to Swensen\'s to try their salad. I\'m not one who really loves vegetables, most of the time, I don\'t even eat them. But there I was, choosing one of the many salads from the menu. I love fruits hence I ordered the Prawn and fruits salad. My other friends ordered Smoked salmon, Caesar and Caesar with Breaded chicken. We also ordered the mushroom soup to go with it. First, we don\'t really like the mushroom soup. It\'s too thick and taste kinda weird. For the salads, I really like them! I would really just go back to eat their salad. I specially love mine! The salads came with different dressing. There\'s thousand island, mango and Caesar dressing. I only like two, first being thousand island, and second being the mango. But midway, I just decided to eat with the thousand island dressing and chuck aside mango. Really scrumptious!
At swensen’s, the ambience was great, the staff was friendly and it made the taste all the more better. I had the breaded chicken with my coleslaw changed to fries and my friend had the fish and chips with his coleslaw changed to fries. None of us like coleslaws so we thought it was rather kind that they let us change our coleslaw to fries FOC without charging us extra. The breaded chicken was crispy and tender but I thought it had a little burnt taste at first. Nevertheless, it was still a nice dinner.
This half chicken is very tenderly grilledin BBQ sauce and is a healthier choice. It comes with smashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables as the side dishes. i like the combination especially the smoked BBQ sauce. The chicken is well cooked and juicy. The smashed potatoes are from US and the texture is very nice. The serving portion is appropriate and it is worth the price.
Sometime back in April, my group of friends and I went to Swensen\'s for lunch. We all got the sets which comes with the soup, drink and ice cream. I got the Chicken Mushroom Penne which has some cheese sprinkled on top of it. I even requested for the cheese and chili powder to add more spice and cheese into my pasta. And trust me, it really tasted better. The chicken chunks are from the chicken thigh, making the meat very tender. The tomato base is very flavourful which really makes this dish a delight. As for the soup, it is also delicious - something more special than your normal white cream based soup.
This is a recommended option for those who love seafood and spicy meals. The portion is sufficient to fill one’s stomach. The first ever dish I tried at Swensens was the black pepper seafood pasta. The fish was not too bad either. The service was okay. On the whole, this dish is a must try for all.
A must go, for all ice-cream lovers. The price is worth it, and the service is generally good. There is a variety of ice-cream flavours, chocolate fondue, waffles, toppings etc. One might think that the variety is little and it is not worth the price, but it is really value for money, if you can eat alot! I had up to 4 rounds of ice-cream plus one meal!
Dessert Buffet is new at Swensen\'s Orchard branch.Lots of choices of ice-cream to choose from.Besides, their buffet spread also includes crispy waffles, cakes, biscuits, chocolate fondue with fresh fruits and etc.If they could include free flow cold and hot beverages to their buffet menu would be great!Great hangout place for the young and old.Service was alright here.My verdict: 6.5/10Spending: Approximately SGD 20(Other)
It was Jin Li\'s Birthday, my friends and i decided to meet up at Compass point for dinner to celebrate for Jin Li. We decided to dine in at Swensen. There is a total 5 of us, there is a promotion for every 3 main course, we ordered we will get 1 free main course. I ordered a curry chicken baked rice, my wife ordered a chicken chop and 3 of my friends ordered fish and chip. The free main course we ordered another chicken chop. Beside the main course, we ordered some finger food. Overall the food is good especially my favourite curry baked rice. We paid a total of $120++ and also given 2 chances for lucky draw.
Who can ever resist Swensen\'s ice cream? I\'ve love their ice cream since I was still a kid. Even until now, I often frequent Swensens for their ice cream with friends. However so far, i feel that the ice cream thats most budget for me is the topless five. 5 scoops of ice cream which cost below S$10. I could do away with the fanciful toppings and dry ice and decorations. Just prefer their topless 5 ice cream. Budget yet taste equally good. Thumbs upppppp!
Swensen\'s has always been my favourite place for ice-cream.Though their selection of flavours are pretty common but they always taste so good. I especially love the banana spilt. To me,this is the place to go if I crave for my childhood favourite. Food are also very value for money. The fish and chips and chicken cutlet are safe choices. Their service is very good too. A perfect place for family gatherings.
Celebrating my friend\'s birthday at Swensen\'s. Swensen\'s given a complimentary icecream dessert for my birthday friend. We ordered main course with addtional $5 for a glass of coke & soup. I like the fried mushroom a lot. I ordered the omelette with a choice of filling to add in, which i choose ham and cheese. My main course also comes with fries and coleslaw. As for my friend, he ordered a fish & chip.
Swensen is a boy name, so coincidentally is also a place where our family is here for Dad\'s birthday dine-out. (Dad is a Male) Dad likes to visit somewhere like home. Since Swensen\'s is nearby our house and has a variety of delectable seafood mains, we were here for its Apricot mango fish, creamy mushroom side dish and others. Dad had grilled salmon main whilst sister ate their all-time favourites - Crayfish pasta. Besides our mains, its generous servings were usually appreciated as it stretched our dollars. For mango apricot fish, the batter was fried to crispy and seasoned lightly. However, the batter could be done better by dripping the oil away. Thus I won\'t feel like smacking lip-gloss onto my lip. Afterall, their dishes were acceptable for a simple fare..Spending: Approximately SGD 20
Swensen\'s have been famous for their dessert & it\'s so true. My family have been a dedicated lover for Swensen\'s for a really long time. My parents being vegetarian opt for omelette or their baked vegetable rice. & we always choose their chicken dishes. However, on this day,we decide to have their dessert. Their must try dessert are the sticky chewy chocolate fudge. My father always order their banana split. Somehow I will never get bored of their ice creams! The indulgence chocolate fudge syrup with the chocolate balls.Yummy whip cream, great texture!
At first i thought this is only a place for ice cream but then i was wrong.. haha Friend told me it was very nice and she tempted me to go try!! so here i was.Sky juice once we sit down and look at the menu. good service My friend and I shared a creamy mushroom with the big big bread.. i was very full after this. this bread and soup can become a meal already. too bad we treat it as appetizer :x the soup has a really strong mushroom taste and smell. however the bread is a lil\' hard and hard to tear off / cut. and we have no idea how to eat the bread together with the soup as the bread is containing the soup. so we finish the soup and eat the bread seperately. Damn full. This is what my friend ordered. DAMN NICE! the nicest and tastiest baked rice i had before!! if you have no idea what to order when u visit swensen, try this~ anyway it\'s a lil\' heavy and those who don like heavy and strong flavour may not like this. This was not bad too. But in the end, the creamy sauce make me feel a lil sick.. too creamy already.. i cant finish the whole dish.. esp after i ate the mushroom soup bread..this look nice, but it wasn\'t. its not nice than the normal taste.. but not that bad also lah.. not a good choice. don choose this!!!
Hot and spicy fish baked rice A lil\' spicy and sour. Asian taste. Heavy flavour with quite a lot of fried fish chunk inside.Chicken and mushroom spaghetti Normal only. Nothing special.chili fish pasta the fish was not dolly fish. i don know what the fish called but it\'s quite fresh. and the crust is crispy and big in size too. the pasta is weird as the mushroom and chillies are sauted with soy sauce and the asian taste is totally not match with the pasta.Swensen\'s banana split I thought Swensen\'s is suppose to be famous at its ice cream? we ordered banana split and we thought this will be be most popular one coz it appear on the menu cover page.. but it disappointed us. just some very normal ice cream with banana and a lot of cream on top and a lil\' chocolate syrup. nothing special. BUT I DOESNT MEAN THAT IT WAS NOT NICE. just normal i would say.
What makes this outlet so different from the rest is that, this swensen actually offers ice-cream buffet. I never thought i will be one to get sick of the ice cream from swensen, but i was that day. There are a wide range of dessert to choose from, but the focus would of course be, on the ice cream. There are a wide variety of toppings to choose from. I had my own made "frosted chocolate malt"merged with "chewy sticky chocolate". It was more than enough to kill me. There is this cold stone alike station there too. Quite cool. But not really worth the price. I actually swore off ice cream for a month after the buffet. I enjoyed the waffles more than the ice cream eventually. Maybe swensen should start including that into the menu.
One thing that i like about the swensen at holland village is that, it opens 24 hours, and even the student privilege on weekdays, is valid 24hours. I can have my student meal even in the middle of the night! I went for the chendol ice cream, which earns me a glare from friends. According to them, i can have a decent chendol for as low as $2. But, it is just different. And it is really worth a try, did not regret my decision. It tasted just like a normal chendol and comes with all the necessary ingredient, but it is creamier. The staffs there were not very attentive. Had to wave at them several times before they would come over with the bill.
Wide range of the ice-cream, cakes, waffles to choose from, definitely there will be a few that suits your taste bud!You may consider to skip your lunch / dinner before going for this buffet! My verdict: 6.5/10Spending: Approximately SGD 20(Other)
Somehow, i found my way back to Swensen for its lunch promotion. I had the butter herb prawn this time round, which is the first time i have tried something out of my comfort zone. I wondered why did i bothered to try other food that I have never seen other reviewed or tried before. And here goes the verdict. The whole dish was bad. I waited a long time for my dish, which only came out after my friends had finish their burgers by more than half and i was starving. The portion of rice is extremely small for one. And i figured that my dish took so long because they had forgotten about my order; all the prawns looked burnt. It is supposed to be "succulent", not dry. The shell of the prawns had curl back in, making it hard to eat. Guess i wont be straying away from my usual burger when i go swensen anytime soon.
I realised that even though i always comment that the main course at swensen is not the best out there, i would always go back to restaurants because of some promotions. The lunch promotion this time round includes one main course with a sundae/beverage, which i think is quite worth the money. I had the spicy chicken burger, which basically consist of two pieces of chicken thigh with pineapple, fries and coleslaw. This is the first time i tried a hot cherry, and if it is possible, it actually enhance the cough syrup taste. Not wise to try unless the person really like to eat this kind of cherry. Chicken meat is tender and well marinated. I actually would not mind if it comes without the burger part. I had sticky chewy chocolate for the free sundae, and as usual, it is one of the best ice cream in swensen, that is, if you are a chocolate lover as i am. It is the best dessert.
Swenson does offers a wide range of western meals, and even local delights these days, but they are still better known for their ice cream menu. I went for their bbq half chicken this time round, and well, the food that came is slightly different from their menu. The chicken is still there no doubt, but the side dishes changes completely. Though i understand that is not the main part of the dish, i would appreciate if they would let me know in advance. I wanted my corn. The bbq sauce was fine, not too heavy in taste and rather easy to get used to. I am not good with my fork and knife, so the dish became slightly messy after a while. Had the sticky chewy chocolate ice cream afterwards. The great part of being a student is that there is student promotion during weekdays, 2 ice cream for 9.80 which is very worth it. The waitress there are not attentive though, i had to order the ice cream three times before they finally remember to take my orders. I felt slightly irritated at the service after a while. The table next to us broke a cup and fragments of the glass flew over to my table area. We told the waitress but they never bother to clean up our area, just the other table.
The swensen\'s outlet here has a long queue more often than not. It is really a popular choice among kids and adults. I chose the chicken cutlet this time round. The cutlet was fried nicely, properly battered and crispy outside, while the inside remain tender and juicy. Squeeze a little of the lemon on top and it was delicious. The cutlet is a little oily, but not too bad, considering that it is deep fried. The fries were very crispy and did not turn soggy for quite some time.
Their range of burgers is really one of my favorite. I decided to try another burger this time - the double cheese beef burger. This has not been a disappointment as well. The burger had 2 beef patties, as the name suggests, slices of melted cheese and some vegetables. The bread has a nice buttery taste and the cheese has melted onto the beef patty and bread. The beef patty was thick and flavorful and keeps me wanting more. It was so filling that I could barely touch the fries afterwards.
I think Swensen\'s is always such an ideal place to have a great treat, a pat on your back after a long day! I\'m directing this to the vast varieties of their awesome ice-cream flavors of course. It was a weekend. After dinner, being greedy as usual, always ensuring \'there\'s always room for dessert\', my boyfriend and I gave in to temptation and saw ourselves indulging into a Topless 5 after resisting and fighting the battle for 15 minutes or so. A total of 5 flavors choices, we chosebanana split, rocky road, rum n raisins, macadamia nut and yam. My favorite after my all-time favorite (chocolate/rocky road) was the banana split. To me, it tasted like a swirl mixture of strawberry and banana ice-cream! The fact that the Topless 5 didn\'t have any toppings such as fudge, caramel or rainbow rice allowed us to fully enjoy the natural taste of the ice-cream flavors (:
Did not know what to eat at the new clementi mall so end up walking around and settled for swensens instead. Tried out their sides like mozzarella cheese sticks and butterfly shrimps and also their main course which is the breaded chicken. The cheese sticks was normal kinda average but i like their butterfly shrimps. It wasnt too oily and just nice for me. Their breaded chicken is their so called all time favourite so I tried it and felt that it was alright too. Next time i should just go for their baked rice.
My ANZ credit card offers a complimentary fish-and-chip with any main course ordered that ends today so without much hesitation, we set off to the nearest branch at Holland Village which we found out is a 24 hours outlet. Service was excellent and efficient maybe cause we were seated at the front row and could be seen easily. For appetizer, we had fried mushroom which really taste like fried mushroom. He ordered his lamp chop and I get the complimentary Fish and Chips. I felt that eating this fish and chips is like eating MacDonald\'s Fillet-O-Fish if there were two bun now. The breaded fish with its mayo sauce really tasted like the fillet in the burger. The two small potion of the fish is akin to eating double fillet-o-fish and the price is a big contrast. No wonder it\'s always this fish and chip that comes with the complimentary. For dessert, I have my all time favourite since school days - Sticky Chewy Chocolate. While I find it heavenly back in the school days, now as I have eaten more variety and exposed to other brands of ice-cream, I find that it was not as good. Yes, it still the same old ice-cream, the sticky sticky chocolate still there with the chocolate chips but once the sticky chocolate and the chips are gone, leaving it with the plain chocolate ice cream, it doesn\'t taste as good anymore. Overall, still a nice lunch.Spending: Approximately SGD 20.00(Lunch)
Swensen\'s fries always provide a good balance to the sweetness from their ice cream. Fries were served piping hot in their signature cone-shaped container with the two accompanying sauces. Could not decide which of the two sauces I preferred and ended up dipping the fries into them alternately. Will always order the fries to match with the ice cream sundaes as they tend to be overly sweet at times.
I had a great day at Swensen\'s. I ordered Swensen\'s earthquake ice cream. It was fabulous. I loved it very much. It tasted superb! The mix of assorted flavors is something that will linger in mind as the wonderful taste is unforgettable! The icecream just melts in my mouth and you should try all the flavors of Sensen\'s icecream! It tasted very nice! I love Swensen\'s. I just love the icecream Spending: Approximately SGD 10(Night Snack)
Swensen\'s fish and chip is very crispy and delicious! The fish is fresh and juicy. Fries are fried till golden yellow. The best thing is there are salt and sauces on the table where you can add whatever you want. We also had prawn dipper. It is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Freshness! Lastly, we had dessert which is sticky chewy chocolate ice cream. It\'s a bit like normal chocolate ice cream though. Not too chewy as i\'d prefer but overall still acceptable. Friendly staff and service is great!
Had a sumptutous breakfast at northpoint! swensen\'s! I love their scrambled egg breakfast set which include of cos scrambled eggs, hashbrown, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and tomato! All were equally delicious! Really made me wanted for more after i finshed the set! So has to order another \'side dish\' to share with my friend, that is their all time favourite french fries, which seem a bit unhealthy to have it during early noon. But it is really very nice to go with the \'tartar\' sauce!! Yummy!
The Swensen at Northpoint is located right next to one of their entrance. I have not been there for a long time since all the other food shops sprung up in the new extension. It was just one of those time whereby i could not think of where to eat and just randomly walked into one of the restaurant. The seats within Swensen are quite spacious compared to the west mall outlet, which i frequent. I love the concept of putting a jar of water for us customer to refill on our own, which is way faster than having to get the waitress to come over every single time. I ordered the bbq half chicken, which are served with some veggies and fries. The taste of the chicken itself is not bad and i like the bbq sauce with its sweet taste. Goes well with the chicken. The only problem is that, it is hard to try and cut it graciously.
I tried the chicken burger this time. It is again very filling. The large piece of chicken I believe to be chicken thigh meat, is very tender and juicy, and well marinated. The slice of pineapple is sweet, but probably canned. It seems too sweet to be from a fresh pineapple. There were some slices of lettuce to give a more refreshing taste. I was too full again to finish the bread, but I tried a small piece. It was quite ordinary. I did not like the fries very much. They were too bland and tasteless.
We came here for the 1 for 1 lunch treats. Definitely a good deal if you are coming with your friends. I wanted to order something different from the usual main course, and so tried the burger. There is a meat patty, bacon, egg, cheese. It was so filling that I didn\'t touch the bread. It comes with fries and coleslaw, both I find pretty normal. I shall stick to my usual main course the next time.
If you love mashed potato, try their smooth mashed potato without sauce! If you love french fries, try their fries which is less sallty! If you love fish and chips, try fish and chip is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside If you love black pepper and pasta, try their black pepper seafood pasta! If you love mango, try the mango lychee ice blended with rich thick mango puree good food, good service however, I will not recommend apple crumble, as I find the crumble too soft and has a dough taste Spending: Approximately SGD 20(Lunch)
the crazy things life offer: all you can eat dessert buffet at swensens! For $29+, you can eat from the cakes, brownies, cookies, waffles, pancakes, and of course, the ice cream offered. From cheesecake, chocolate cake, the toppings for the ice cream such as cherries, nuts, syrup drizzles, oh my goodness! A tip from me is to come after you had a marathon, while you\'re piping hot and you gotta eat and drink something cold! If you come from the rain like I did, I was so full - well not full, more like bloated and feeling so cold, so you\'re not eating for the bang for your buck. Taste-wise, it\'s not sooooo creamy and not to light for the ice cream but I prefer Baskin Robbins thickness or Haagen Dazs. The cheese cake is really good though but you can get full even faster! So wrong. You can be a DIY dessert chef when you\'re here - start decorating and choosing as you wish! Spending: Approximately SGD 32
Fish and Chips is the \'standard\' food that I will always ordered whenever I am at Swensen\'s. I simply love the fish and the fries with the \'tar tar sauce\' . So I will always ask for a refill of the \'tar tar\' sauce! One serving is defintely not enough for my all my fish and fries. Haha. But its a bit pity that the french fries is a bit overly done, so its a bit dry actually. But overall, it is still a nice fish and chips!
The last time I was here, was during their one for one promotions. It\'s quite value for money though I have heard from some diners that their portion has reduced ever since for this lunch promotion. I have tried their Honey Cajun Chicken and also their Surf and Turf. Not bad but without the one for one promotion, think I will skip and go to Jack Place or Aston instead. Their ice-cream is ok but I will rather pay a little more for Ben & Jerry. Spending: Approximately SGD 15(Lunch)
Tucked away at china town point, this swensens outlet is a little small compared to the other outlets around in singapore. went in to eat for dinner and service was prompt. had a tough time deciding what to order and in the end still decided to order the popular and recommended one which is chicken cutlet and fish and chips. Our food came quite hot and i love the fish and chips more actually. their portion are quite huge actually! so i think it was really value for money.
Was meeting a fren who just returned to Singapore for dinner, after which he\'s calling for dessert @ Swensen cos he craves for the Earthquake! It\'s childhood memory once we see the smoke ;) He\'s very please with it but the ice-cream is a little too sweet for me but the toppings are yummy~
Love their all time favourite fries with the different dips at the sides. The hot golden crispy fries goes really well with mayonaise! We also had brownie with vanilla ice cream. I\'d prefer the brownie that\'s heated up and with melted chocolate syrup. Too bad the brownie is hard and cold. Give it a miss! And for the apple crumple sizzling pan, it was a tad too sweet for me. Not too bad but i don\'t think i\'ll try it again!
Was hanging out with a friend at Holland Village. We were looking for food and deciding what to have and which restaurant to go. There were actually too many choices available at Holland Village, its too many restaurant to choose from until we were both confused. In the end, we settle for something safe! That is swensen\'s! Haha. Has odered their breakfast set since i have never tried it before. Yummy, everything is just nicely done, not overly cooked. Cos i really hate food that is overly done. This is just nice, texture is good as well! A good experience indeed!Spending: Approximately SGD 20
This outlet is very crowded and we have to queue for quite some time before we managed to get a table. The price of the food items were quite reasonable and what we love was their ice cream. for me I ordered a beef burger and it was quite okay, reasonable standard. The serving was quite huge though. As for their ice cream, it was really nice but we had to wait for a while before they served us our ice cream. Service standard was okay, acceptable.
