The prata taste great.
My favourite is the pratha set and teh tarik. Fantastic! Their briyani is also delicious! Try it if u havent yet :)
Ordered the Teh-o with milk which is called Teh-C which costs only $1+
It matches very well with bread or even rice and meat. I liked the way they brewed and pour the teh because it seems professional. Not only that, it taste professionally nice because of the light fragance of the tea smell and when you drink it, it is very soothing and very enjoying to the warm cup of teh in your hands!
This is their signature dish which is the chicken nasi bryani! Alot of people who eat their food actually goes for this as it is fulling and sold at affordable price to many! It could be eaten for lunch/ dinner! (:The overall is very nice with the chicken is cripsy but the curry to mixture with the rice is not enough and i went to get another plate. And they do not have chilli to mix with it.
Love the prata from Ah Mei Cafe. However, this place is really small that you will have to wait for quite some time until you can have your meal, so do try to avoid eating here during peak hour or when you are extremely hungry!. Well, although this prata just looked like those ordinary prata, but trust me, it actually tasted much more better than the others. Well, the curry served is not too hot as well. Cheap prata with extremely satisfied taste
I came here for lunch with my mum. I like roti prata, and knowing that I could find it here, I decided to get it. Since there was a minimum ordered of 2 for the plain prata, my mum ordered 2 plain and 2 egg. 1 plain and 1 egg for me, 1 plain and 1 egg for her. It wasn\'t long that I waited to get my prata. I was soon consuming it all. It was tasty. The prata was a little crispy, and not too soft. Lovely. I think that the prata there is quite good and I enjoyed my lunch there. I would definitely eat there next time, knowing that the prata there is nice.
I ordered two plain pratas for supper which cost $2 and it came with a small plate of curry, but my order came rather late as the chef had went to the washroom. The prata was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and it is rather big in size, however the curry wasnt so appealing and aromatic. The environment was not so clean but it has a cosy feeling.Spending: Approximately SGD 2(Night Snack)
Actually came by this cafe wanted to eat their roti prata but the chef went for a break that he was not back in time while we were there. So, we just settled for their beverages and I had a teh tarik. What they did was just poured the tea out from a canister and didn\'t even do the tea \'pulling\' aka tarik at all and was disappointed.
The tea was ok, rich with tea aroma but was quite sweet.
This outlet at Ang Mo Kio Hub is always busy and it is often difficult to find an empty table.
It offers either Mutton or Chicken Briyani, variations of Prata and Roti John on its menu.
We tried the Mutton Briyani and Egg and Plain Prata, with Teh Tarik.
The portion of Briyani Rice was quite small, though the taste was good.
The mutton pieces in the mutton gravy were tasty, but an equally small portion. Frankly speaking, the Briyani was not actually the authentic Briyani one would have expected - where the meat, rice and seasonings are cooked together. This was just coloured rice and mutton curry.
Next, the prata. It was quite a long wait for the prata, with just one chef preparing the orders. The pratas arrived piping hot, but they were too thick and not crispy enough.
The accompanying fish gravy was too watery and lacked flavour.
Overall, the standard of the food could be better, looking at the prices.
There is no vegetable dish available, except for the cucmber pickle that comes with the Rice sets.
The Teh Tarik also needs to be improved, given its diluted taste.
It was not the best value for money, just average.Spending: Approximately SGD 7.00(Lunch)
The curry chicken is quite nice.
The chicken is tender and soft.
And the curry is very concentrated.IT is nice, and it has not much of coconut milk.
So i can eat it as many as possible without worry about my stomach.
The rice is also quite nice,a simple fried rice.
Not too dry or oily.It is just nice.
But feel weird to drink coffee with these kind of food.
I like Indian\'s Nasi bryiyani.
Because the amount is big.
No la.just joking.
It is because the fragrance of the rice.
They use some herbe to cook the rice.
So it is very nice.
Although it looks yellowish,i still love it.
The combination of the rice, fried chicken rice, biscuit and some chilli sauce is really great.
It brings out the unique taste of Indian food.
I really like it.
Everytime I walk passed this small corner of cafe I saw the shops always full with people and I was wondering why this cafe so popular. One day I asked my friends to have dinner there and I finally found out the reason. The nasi briyani was nice, the curry was so fragrant and have authentic smell. And the smell can just spread to very far so that\'s why the cafe was so crowded everytime. The drumstick was tender and the rice was also very fragrant. I like the vege pickles as it is refreshing and just like a appetizer of the dish.
Went there with my cousin to have lunch. She order the chicken bryani while i ordered the toast set that includes 2 slices of kaya toast and a cup of ice milk tea. It’s always crowded and i guess that does imply the quality. And yup, taste is satisfactory but they could have done more to the waiting time and add more seats as well.Spending: Approximately SGD 5
Plain prata x2 from Ah mei cafe.
The original price is $2. With the Ah mei discount card, i entitle to 10% discount so i only pay for $1.80.
Their curry gravy is really oily with one thick layer of oil floating on top. The sugar is available but you must request because not everybody wants it so the staff will not be routinely add in. I like to dip the prata with curry gravy then coated with sugar. So i can taste spicy, salty and sweet taste at one go.
This is a new product chwee kueh from Ah Mei cafe.
If you like Ah Mei cafe, you can buy their member card so you can get 10% when you buy anything from them. You need to preload the money inside so they can deduct the money when you purchase from them.
This chwee kueh are so so oily. It also sell in smaller portion but bigger portion will be more value for the money. Anyway i don\'t like it and i think they are only good in their toast?
First time tried their Nasi Briyani. By it\'s name, we thought that it served only chinese food, however when we looked at the menu, we realised that it sold malay and indian food like nasi bryani and roti prata. Apart from these food, a large variety of drinks commonly sold at the coffeeshop were also sold there. I ordered nasi bryani (chicken) and drinks - teh ice susu. The rice was not fluffy and a bit dry. Their chicken curry was average, not spicy but well infused with herbs and spices. Tender to the touch and pretty tasty. The food was cold and don\'t have much vegie. Teh ice susu was good.
Bought their Nasi Lemak and Kopi O for breakfast. First time trying it, it does not meet up to standard. The rice does even smell nice at all. The chicken was not very fragrant and fresh and even quite small in portion. The otah however was not good, the otah was quite thin, but the filling is quite generous, you can actually really taste chunks of fish, the seasoning is not too bad, spicy enough, although I had prefer it to be hot. The ikan billis was not crispy and crunchy at all. The spicyness of the chilli was average. I can\'t smell the fragrance of the chilli. However, the Kopi O was not hot and thick at all. Overall, the food was average.
My mum and I decided to have lunch at Ah Mei\'s Cafe. The last time I was there, I had the Chicken Briyani. For a change, I ordered the Mutton Briyani. The portion was just nice to be shared among 2 people. The lady poured extra gravy for us. The gravy was extremely spicy but tasty. Never have i tasted such spicy gravy. It was really good. The mutton was also well cooked. Unlike other shops, the mutton did not have a lot of fats. The cucumber was sweet and not bitter. Although it may be quite expensive, the food was definitely worth the money.
Ah mei cafe let me think of "ya kun"
But price & taste was totally difference
Normal big Prata is expensive & just SOSO,abit oily, skin was quite crispy
but not much taste,
But their mini prata was nice,a plate for 5-6pieces
with mild butter fragrance,The curry was thick & spicy
Overall i rate 7/10

A typical Ah Mei cafe lunch. We had prata: plain and egg. Taste was decent, not fantastic but no complaints either. I liked that the curry and the portion was sufficient, a good place to have lunch at IMM building if you want something light.
My friend was craving for the briyani at Ah Mei cafe, so we decided to make a trip to AMK Hub. The place is quite small but the food is really good. I ordered an egg prata for myself which was served with fish curry. I have to admit that it was one of the best fish curry that I have ever tasted. It was tasty and thick unlike other shops. The prata was also very nice.
My friend ordered a chicken briyani. The curry was also very nice and the portion was quite big. Though it is quite expensive, I would say that it it value for moneySpending: Approximately SGD 8

However, it\'s hard to find a seat and the queue is long and the service is poor.. Spending: Approximately SGD 7(Lunch)
I ordered pratas - (2plain and 1egg) which costs a total of $4. We had to wait for the pratas but the aunties at the stall were very nice and thus they made our wait easier. The stall also had an automated queue signboard, so anyone could go back to your table to wait and not loiter around the area waiting.
The pratas were large and it is crispy. The curry served is hot and not too spicy, which makes it a perfect combination with the pratas.
Spending: Approximately SGD 4(Lunch)
I have always been a fan of Ah Mei cafe and decided to drop by the outlet at Hougang point one day for tis delicious prata!
I ordered the egg prata which was a little pricey, (think it was about $1.60) and a cup of teh tarik.
I love its egg prata so much as it was crispy on the outside (although rather small) and fluffy on the inside. The fish curry was fantastic, and packs rich flavor!Spending: Approximately SGD 2.50
Ah Mei Cafe is an open concept dining cafe located in shopping malls around singapore. The outlet at AMK HUB is located in the middle of a link way, near Starhub and Artbox.
After a tiring day at the gym, my friend and i decided to dine at Ah Mei Cafe and we ordered the Chicken Briyani! The food prices at Ah Mei are pretty costly (Chicken briyani - $6, and one plain prata- $1) but it definitely makes up in taste!
You can choose to have the fried chicken or curry chicken for the briyani, and i choose the later. The curry is absolutely delicious, and it had just the right amount of spice- not too spicy nor too bland for me! The curry is also very fragrant and thick, and the chicken was stewed to soft, delicious perfection. The rice however, was a little hard, but i guess it\'s because its not the white rice i am used to.
Be sure to try out the briyani at Ah Mei Cafe the next time you\'re there!Spending: Approximately SGD 6
Decided to eat Mee Rebus for lunch and saw that there is a set for Mee Rebus and coffee or tea for only $4, so decided to have it.
The Mee Rebus is nice, just that it will be better if the bean sprouts tail is removed. The coffee is comparable to the local coffee chains coffee.
Overall, for the price at CBD area, I would definitely go back again.Spending: Approximately SGD 4(Lunch)
i simply love the curry chicken nasi biryani at ah mei’s café. I ordered the chicken curry version this time. The curry is very thick and delicious. When eaten with the fragrant nasi biryani rice, it is totally awesome. The chicken is very tender and succulent.I love the pickled vegetables as well. Makes a really delicious combination. Though it is kind of spicy, but I really enjoy it!
I was shopping around IMM with my family when we got really hungry from all shopping. We went to the food court and there were a lot of people waiting for seats. Dismay, we left and notice this mini café just outside the food court. It is called ah mei’s café. It sold local favourites such as roti prata and nasi biryani. I ordered the chicken biryani, I picked the fried chicken one. It came with a chicken and a bowl of curry. On the rice, they had archar and cabbage. The chicken due to being fried for a long time, was kind of hard. But I love the skin, very fragrant. The curry went well with the rice as well.however it did cost quite abit, $6 for a plate!
I used to work around Chinatown and this is one of the place I would visit whenever I want to have cheap eats and yet don\'t want to eat in the sweaty hawker center.
This stall is located in second stories, and it is a corner, if you don\'t know what you are looking for, you may just missed it. ;)
Anyway, for me I would usually eat the rojak or the nasi lemak. Both are quite nice and under $3, if you pay with your banquet card, you will get a 10% discount!
However for the nasi lemak, I do find the portion a little small for $3, only one fish and a luncheon meat.
Spending: Approximately SGD 4(Lunch)
This outlet is very small. It has an indoor and outdoor area. The indoor area only consists of a few tables. Usually, I would have their toast set with eggs and coffee for breakfast. What I liked best is their coffee and tea as the size of the cup is very big. Have tried their roti prata before but I do not like it as the person who makes the roti prata cooked it until very crispy. It is not fluffy at all. I woul dmuch prefer the traditional type of prata that is soft and fluffy in the inside. The curry that comes with it is still okay, a bit spicy which I liked.Spending: Approximately SGD 3.50(Breakfast)
Cafe selling Hongkong-styled desserts and meals. Worth a try out for Hongkong food lovers.
The prata taste great.
