ASUS ZENFONE 2 IS PURE GARBAGE: I decided to purchase an unlocked Asus Zenfone 2 at a cost of $395.00 because the 4 laptop computers I purchased during the previous 12 years have proven to be reliable. HOW WRONG COULD I HAVE BEEN!!!!. After 3 months of use, the Zenfone screen would not respond or respond erratically to tactile commands. Phone support did not help resolve the issue and I ended up sending the unit for repair. The turn around time is supposed to be 7 days. After 2 weeks, I decided to check on the Asus repair site and was surprised to find that my phone was shown as "not received" at their warehouse. After giving them the tracking number, It was finally noted as received 1 month from the mail date. The following week, I received a phone that was locked which could not be programmed by my provider, the phone was sent back to the warehouse. The following week, I received another phone that was just as problematic, most of the time, the phone would turn off in the middle of a call. Most recently, the phone would turn itself off and would not be completely boot on. I checked the battery that indicated a full charge while also performing a few factory resets, to no avail. After calling Asus and followe dtheir instructions, the phone went completely dead. On each occasion however, I opted to give the Asus brand another chance by requesting their newest model as replacement, I was willing to pay the price difference and on each occasion I made this request, I was told "WE DONT DO REPLACEMENT". I finally sent them the latest RMA (shown below) and told them that I was overwhelmed with continuously going to the post office to send them the same phone for repair, in addition, I have also lost a significant amount in business revenue as my work depends on telephone call receptions. I told Asus that they can keep this ZENFONE 2 as paperweight if a replacement cant be obtained. I wanted to slam it on the ground, I was convinced to send it in, once more, for repair. In my 30 years in business, I have never encountered a product so inferior and a manufacturer that is so lacking in customer support. I submit my list of RMA's as evidence:MOST RECENT: RMA # USCY6A1688 issued on October/2016; RMA # USCY691116 issued on September/2016; RMA # USCY681021 issued August/2016; This may be my last try with the Asus brand as it appears that the orientals may only be interested in getting our money for disguised paperweight. In the next 3 days, I shall be looking at the newest I-Phone. Going back to US made products.
