Our specialty pastries:
Apple Crumble - a slightly tart apple filling full of the intensity of apples, lightly spiced with cinnamon that's not too mushy, with a good, satisfying bite. Topped with buttery crumble topping and seated in a pâte sablée (French pastry) case.
Chocolat Amande - meaning "chocolate almond" in French, this our most decadent chocolate cake yet, made from almond flour resulting in a moist, superbly chocolaty dessert. Topped with chocolate ganache, this is as chocolaty as a chocolate dessert can get.
Honourable mentions: Bailey's Cheesecake, Tiramisu, Matcha Panna Cotta, Blueberry Cheese Tartlets, Salted Caramel Cupcake, Maple Carrot Cake, Strawberry Slice, Chocolate Molten Lava Cake with Homemade Vanilla Bean Ice-cream, Chocolate Fudge Brownie with Ice-cream
Our specialty food:
Stout Pie / Shepherd's Pie - the most popular items for lunch. The stout pie is made with chicken cooked in a gravy heavily spiked with stout beer and the shepherd's pie is an old recipe made with pork in luscious gravy, mashed potatoes and cheese.
Caldos Xochitl - a soup of Mexican roots made with tomatoes, chicken, lime juice and herbs. An unfamiliar name in the local food scene, it is unexpectedly popular and rightfully so! It is a favourite even among the Batterworks team for its refreshing taste coupled with bold flavour.
Honourable mentions: Chicken Bulgogi Wrap, Pulled Pork Wrap, Miso Chicken Drumlets, Lemongrass Beef Salad, Wasabi-Yuzu smoked Salmon Salad, Thick 3-Mushroom Soup, Tomato and Red Pepper Soup
