SATA was established in 1947 at the time when TB was prevalent among the population in Singapore. Though a major killer in the 1960s, TB is now under control and the number of cases was reduced from 310 to 39 per 100,000 resident population between 1960 and 2004. With the declining incidence of TB over the years, SATA has evolved to become a medical clinic that provides affordable healthcare services to the community, especially the less advantaged, needy and elderly.
Our goal To be so affordable to all. We work closely with our customers to provide the best-inclass yet affordable healthcare services.
Who we are When TB was rampant, SATA was founded by a group of doctors and men from the business community on 23 August 1947 through funding raised from cash donations, charity events and sales of Greeting Seals. Today, SATA exists as a not-for-profit voluntary welfare organisation that seeks to act as an advocate for those suffering from TB and provides affordable healthcare services to the community, especially the less advantaged, needy and elderly.
What we do Through its four clinics strategically located across the island, SATA provides affordable and best-in-class quality healthcare services with a BIG HEART to the community.
As a socially responsible corporate, SATA seeks to engage the community directly through subsidised general health screening. These SATA events also provide opportunities for corporate clients to partner us in community service.
