SCAC aims to make pottery-making an enjoyable experience for those who take lessons with us. We want our students, young and old, to take pleasure in handling and in making something out of this wonderful material we call clay.

We specialize in customising programs for schools, and in helping the Head of Department set up a curriculum that will suit the cohort; We have helped schools with, and without studio pottery facilities to run short and long term programs. We design creative clay projects and assist with establishing realistic milestones, and assessments. We can also be engaged for project management such as delivery of a commission for the school (e.g an installation for a feature wall or a tile mural).  We provide professional services to help with budgeting programs and advise on technical requirements involving the set-up of pottery studios for schools.  This includes choosing the right equipment, getting the necessary permits to connect and operate  the kiln (where applicable), purchase of clay, glazes, ceramic raw materials, ....right down to finding appropriate teaching staff.
