The Roots of the company date back to early January 1990 after the Founder, Capt. Tony Goh (TG), who had an illustrious career at sea WORLDWIDE (Both Deep sea and Coastwise) for fourteen years in all trades of seamanship on all type of vessels, such as General cargo, bulk, timber, container, passenger, tug, commercial, training vessel, oil tanker, chemical, coaster etc including serving as Master / Captain of Ocean-going vessels (FG). He then came ashore as a Marine Surveyor employed by an International Consulting Engineers and Marine Surveyors firm of Ritchie & Bisset (Far East) Pte Ltd for nine (9) years. He left thereafter for a change to his professional trade venturing into chartering and Ship-brokering and as General Manager of a Shipping Company in charge of Technical & Operations Department for one year.
He returned to his original survey consultancy as there was a strong demand from the Marine and Offshore industry for the services of more effective, responsible, independent, Marine & Technical Consultants / Surveyors / Expert Organisations for which the Company was built up and strengthened to the present time where the Trust and Confidence to clients has been Exemplary and Beyond Reproach.
TG Marine Service Pte Ltd has the Integrity, Reputation and Commitment to serve the Shipping Industry both here and overseas with a wide spread of activities and Marine / Technical Services in which they are trained for.
Captain Tony Goh, Managing Director is a FELLOW of the Nautical Institute - London, FELLOW of the Singapore Nautical Institute, FELLOW of the Inst. PET (UK), FELLOW of the Institute of Shipping Management, FELLOW of the Institute of Petroleum (UK), FELLOW of the Energy Institute (UK), FELLOW of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (UK), Member of the Expert Alumni (UK) and Member of the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers.
Captain Tony Goh also undertake work as Non-Exclusive / Exclusive Marine Surveyor to Bureau Veritas Classification Society, and as Senior Marine Consultant to Tecnitas, a Subsidiary Company of Bureau Veritas for heavy lift load-out, Marine Warranty Surveyor for Platform, Jacket, Tripod, Piles, Living Quarter & Process Modules, Towage Approval, Quality Assurance, Pre-Purchase and Valuation Survey, etc..
Captain Tony Goh also undertakes work for Government Bodies and Flag States Inspectors / Surveyors for St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Panama, Belize, Honduras, Vanuatu, etc.
All our reports are purpose-made on an impartial concept and precise, scrutinise and subject to approval by the Principal surveyor and a Director of the company to eliminate any disputes or litigations between the parties involved.
