MD is a global Document Management and Preservation Co. that was incorporated in 1989 and remains one of the longest service providers in Singapore.
MD provides a one stop microfilming, (16mm, 35mm rolls and 105mm microfiche), processing and duplication services. In addition, we are able to provide colour microfilm in 35mm rolls. MD was the prime mover of microfilming standards in Singapore – SS 520:2006 (CP69: 1998), SS 521:2006 (CP70: 1998), SS 522:2006 (CP71: 1998) and SS 523:2006 (CP72: 1998) – Code of Practice for microfilming 16mm/35mm technical drawings and newspapers.
MD takes pride in being an innovative company such as producing her in-house environmental friendly processing chemistry, Fixer and Eco-Developer, which are ready to use in deep tanks or tabletop-type processors. MD has also developed proprietary document management software, eZee AdminTM, for easy retrieval, keyword search and many other standard features of document management.
The latest innovative line of products is a COM equipment - ArchiveImage Writer, AW 1 Series. The AW 1 Series converts digital file directly onto a 16mm/35mm standard archival microfilm in either negative or positive master (B/W & Colour) for digital preservation.
Apart from the document management capability, MD has build over the years her document preservation department which currently is the only commercial company in Singapore that has an Anoxic Chamber using nitrogen gas for disinfestations. This state of the art Anoxic Chamber effectively destroys larvae of all types of insects completely with its unique disinfestations process. It is safe and non-toxic thus preserving the original state of the articles. MD also customises metal edge archival boxes and supplies various types of acid-free boards (buffered and unbuffered) for storing precious items such as photographs, maps, manuscripts, treaties and etc.
MD’s employees are technically competent to provide a world first class service in document management and preservation solutions. In order to remain relevant in the industry, employees are sent overseas to train with our global partners in countries such as Portugal, Germany, United Kingdom, United States, and New Zealand to equip them with the necessary skills to constantly add value to the products and services we provide to our customers.
