Coming from a multi-racial family background whereby English, Bahasa Indonesia and native dialects are our common medium of communication, Karl has difficulty falling in love with Mandarin. Things came to light when my wife enrolled him in Umbrella. That was the turning point. Finally my three-year old son is responding after all these years of waiting.

After every lesson, Karl will re-enact what was being taught; showing of his worksheets and art & craft without being asked to. It doesn’t matter if his pronunciation is still inaccurate, but to learn that Karl’s interest in the language is constantly aroused and his ability to recognize some of the basic Chinese characters truly amazes me. Kudos to all the teachers for their patience, passion and never ending efforts in educating the young ones.

We are very pleased to have our son in Umbrella as he has begun to appreciate, enjoy and apply the Chinese language. 

The teachers are dedicated and passionate in their teaching and learning.  They are nurturing and very patient and encouraging to our son, and often keep update us on his progress. 

We feel assured as we know our son is in good hands!

The level of professionalism and sincerity of the teachers greatly impressed us. They made us feel that they care for our son and are willing to be flexible and accommodating.

Our son has benefitted a lot from the classes. His Chinese fluency has improved significantly and he is now more confident than before in speaking up and expressing himself.
