For Tuition Courses

Q: Are the tutors experienced and professional?
A: All the tutors in Saintly Education Centre are experienced and professional in teaching. There are our teachers’ profiles listed on our website, and you could check from there for more information.

Q:  What do you teach for each tuition session?
A: Our tutors highlight and explain the frequently used words, key words and phrases in the passage, so that our students can fully understand and then apply them in communication activities. The tutors will also explain writing techniques and comprehension skills. Based on the skills taught, they guide the students to complete comprehension passages or compositions during the class.

Q: Do you give homework or assignment after class?
A: All the exercises are completed during the class, especially the difficult ones are carefully explained and guided. Memorizing work such as witty words and sentences is given to students as homework. Our tutors check the homework at the beginning of the next lesson in order to cultivate students’ habit of self-learning.

Q: What learning material do you apply?
A: There are three types of learning material used. First type is the material edited by our tutors, which includes notes and key points for each lesson. Second type is synchronized exercise. Third type is government school paper.

Q: Do you arrange make up lessons for students who ask for leave?
A: We require student to attend each lesson on time. When the student has to ask for leave for private affairs, he/she or the parent has to inform the school 24 hours earlier. For sick leave, the student has to show us his/her MC (Medical Certificate) when he/she comes back to study. We will normally arrange the replacement lesson within the same week.

Q: Do we have to pay tuition deposit?
A: We only charge $50 tuition deposit for each student. It is refundable upon the written notice of termination at least one month earlier before the student quits, and it will be used as part of the student’s tuition fee of the last month OR ELSE the deposit will be forfeited if the one month earlier notice is not received by us.

Q: When do we pay the tuition fee?
A: Tuition fee is required to pay on the student’s first tuition of each month. For any delayed payment, a $5 fine will be deducted from the student’s $50 deposit.



For Japanese/Mandarin/Adult English Courses

Q: In what way do you conduct Adult Conversation Course?
A: In each lesson, we focus on a specific topic that closely related to our daily life, career or study. The teacher will explain certain sentence structures and guide students on how to apply them. Based on this, we ask students to have group discussion or conversation in pairs. During these discussions, the teacher will guide, judge or extend the topic.

Q: How many different levels are there for conversation courses? How long do we need to complete each level?
A: Our conversation courses are divided into four levels. They are intro, basic, intermediate and advanced. Each level requires half year of learning.

Q: How do you charge the course fee? Is it charged monthly or by phases?
A: The payment for conversation courses is made by phases. The student can register three-months, six-months or one-year course. The three-month course fee has to be cleared in one time after registration. The payment for six-months course can be made by two times of installment in two months. The payment for one-year course can be made by four times of installment in four months. There is $20 commission charge for each installment. The longer the student registered for the course, the more privileges they can enjoy.

Q: What if the student has to ask for leave due to personal affair or sickness after registered the course?
A: If the student's leave duration is within one week , he /she can send message or email to the school to ask for leave . If the duration is more than one week , the student is required to submit his/her written leave report to the school for approval . And then the school will arrange the make up lesson for the student ,who is usually arranged to follow other class . If he /she really can not match our schedule , one to one tuition will be given on the condition that the make up lesson is 1/3 of his /her normal lesson duration .

5. What standard are we going to meet after three or six months of learning?
A: As long as the student attending every lesson and focusing on practice consistently, he/she is able to communicate with others on the learned topics. We have students who learned from zero ground are able to communicate well with the language after two years of learning.

Q: Do we get a certificate after the completion of a course level?
A: Our school could provide course completion certificate. ($10 is charged for the cert)

7.
Q: How do we get officially recognized certificate?
A: After the student builds up their language foundation, he/she can participate in internationally recognized exams such as N Level, O level, JLPT and HSK organized in Singapore.
