QNS- What are your opening hours?

We are open everyday except on Public Holidays. The opening hours are: Monday to Friday - 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday - 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. In addition, we will usually extend our opening hours during the weekends to benefit our vendors!

QNS- Why are your cubes so much more affordable?

We believe in passing on the benefits to our vendors. Also, we want to get into a mutual relationship whereby we help each other.

- How is the traffic or human flow like?

During the weekdays, we have working adults (with spending power) patronizing the shop. On Fridays and weekends, we have a wide variety of customers as there are famous restaurants nearby like Ah Yee Restaurant, Creation (wonderful western food restaurant), Thai Food restaurant. Also, there is an Indian Cinema on the 2nd level, and the car park is cheap on weekends, so people do park here and walk around.

QNS- What are the charges?

Only two charges:

a) The rental. This varies from $20 to $30 per month, depending on your cube space.

b) 10% sales commission. This will be applied as long as there are any transactions at the counter.

QNS- Why is the minimum commitment 6 months?

We believe that if you want to grow your business, 6 months is a good timeframe or period for you to evaluate and critically understand how your business is catering to the crowd in the shop. Our mix of crowd is mainly working adults. On the other hand, we also do not stop new vendors to use their creative juices to think of new products to cater to their needs. Currently, we do have some vendors using the “blue ocean” strategy to the fullest potential!

Another point is that with this period of time, it will be almost at least twice or more expensive to do so if you rent at other places!

QNS- What can I sell?

You can sell almost everything except: i) foods & drinks, ii) sex toys, iii) pets and iv) any illegal items.

QNS- Can I sell the same product as the other vendors?

We usually don’t advise our incoming new vendors to do so. This could invite a price war which we do not want to see. However, if you are selling different range of products catered for varied needs of our customers, we welcome you to do so.

QNS- How do you track my sales records? And my inventory?

We will sent a sms of your sales to you on the 1st week of every month. We will do inventory keeping on both sides. Please do note that we do not have any spaces for storage. But, if your products run low, we will send a sms to you to restock.

QNS- How do I collect my sales?

You can collect your sales in person in our shop ANYTIME. We do not believe in cheque (as it is hard to check whether you have received it on your end and you will be unsure if we have sent to you from your side) and depositing the money directly into your bank account. We strongly believe in connecting with the vendors by updating them their sales and how their products are doing while they are collecting their sales.

QNS- Why do you require me to come down personally to book the space? Why can’t I do it over the phone?

We believe that since you are going to be with us for some time, you should take the duty to come down and choose the space for yourself (if there are any available ones at that time) as eventually that space will be your mini shop!!!!!

QNS- Alright, you’ve convinced me. Now why are you the best again?

Magic Cube & Novelties started operation in March 2010. Although, we’ve been in this business for less than a year, we have over 65 vendors! Not only do we give the lowest rent guaranteed in Singapore in the town area, we also give wonderful customer service! No other shops in Singapore care about your business as much as we do.
