
AFG Arbonia-Forster-Holding AG is based in Arbon, Canton Thurgau, Switzerland. Listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange, AFG ranks among the leaders in the integrated construction industry and in selected areas of technology. AFG comprises five divisions: Heating Technology and Sanitary Equipment, Kitchens and Refrigeration, Windows and Doors, Steel Technology and Surface Technology. The Group has production facilities in Switzerland, Germany, the Czech Republic, the UK, France, the United States and Slovakia.
AFG is a globally active company with about 50 production and distribution companies as well as 500 dealers, representatives and partners. Through these brands, AFG has built strong positions in its home markets, Switzerland and Germany. It is also engaged in intensive on going efforts to enter and build new markets in Eastern Europe, Russia and The Middle and Far East. In 2008, the Group created its own Asia Pacific regional branch. In the 2010 financial year, the Swiss group with its headcount of 5,800 employees, generated revenue of CHF 1413.5 million.
Keeping pace with globalization, AFG Arbonia-Forster-Group has continuously built up its business activities in the Asia Pacific region over the past years. Offices has been set up in Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore in 2008 and 2010 in order to co-ordinate all activities of the various Divisions.
The Asia Pacific region is important to AFG today and especially in the future. Approximately half of the world population lives in this region, which is marked by a low median age and great demand to cover their basic needs, their infrastructure, their living conditions, etc. Annual growth rates have in the past years by far exceeded those of all other economies. Furthermore a clear trend towards quality products can be observed. We will therefore give our full attention to Asia Pacific and we treat this economic region with great importance.
