Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are there any other charges in addition to the tuition fee?
ANS: There are NO additional charges for worksheets, registration fees or deposits.
Optimus Tutors only charges ONE fee, and that is the tuition fee (for 4 sessions).

2. What happens if a student is unable to attend a lesson?
ANS: Students who are unable to attend their scheduled lessons must inform the tutor at least ONE DAY in advance. Those who miss their lesson without informing the tutor in advance will be charged for that lesson.

3. Is there any make-up session if the scheduled lesson falls on a public holiday?
ANS: In the event of a public holiday, lessons will be rescheduled to a day that is mutually convenient and to be arranged between tutor and students.

4. Are there any lessons during the school holidays?
ANS: Lessons take place throughout the year. However should students intend to take a long break from lessons, they have to inform the tutors at least one week in advance.

5. Can a student obtain a refund for lessons not attended?
ANS: It is not the policy of the Centre to refund tuition fees except under exceptional circumstances (eg hospitalization). Students who are unable to consume all paid sessions within the year are advised to carry them over to the next year.

6. Can a student request for more lessons beyond the usual scheduled lessons?
ANS: Additional group lessons can be arranged, subject to the tutors’ consent.
