Q. When should I call a moving company?

A. The earlier, the better. A hassle-free move needs meticulous assessment and planning, so it'll be wise to give your moving company from two to four week's notice, if possible. The more lead time you can give, the more likely we will be able to meet your preferred delivery schedule and unique needs.

Q. Do I need an estimate?

A. An estimate will give you an idea of the costs involved in a move, allowing you to make better choices and decisions. It may also help you identify possible pitfalls or bottlenecks in relation to the move at an early stage. Thus a pre-move survey of the move may be indispensable.

Q. How long does it take to move?

A. This depends on many factors, such as the level of your unit, whether the lifts opened at your level, weather conditions, size and weight of the load involved, and the time required to load and unload.

Multiple loadings may be required if there are many big and/or heavy items.

Q. What can I do on my part before a move?

A. Obtain more boxes than you thought you would need. As a rule of thumb, use smaller boxes for weightier items such as books and bigger boxes for lighter items such as clothing. Once you have made a master list of all the items to be moved, pack items room by room, keep like items together in the same boxes, place lighter items on top of the heavier ones, and seal boxes firmly to prevent the contents from unnecessary movement during the move. Remember to label all your boxes clearly for easier unpacking later on.

Q. What might go wrong during a move?

A. You may ask whether your property might be damaged in the course of a move, or whether a move will be done if it rains.
