Staircase and corridor are essential facilities of multi-storey commercial and residential building. They are not only provided for people to
move around within the building horizontally and vertically, but also meant for emergency evacuation for immediate and urgent movement in the event of threat or actual occurence of hazard. In this respect, lighting would be generally required to illuminate the route along the corridor and staircase after sunset. 

Such as illuminated egress escape signs, lighting fitted with backup power supply is also one of the important facilities mandatorily required under the common building codes and imposed by the authoritives agencies. The lighting fixtures are usually mounted onto the concrete ceiling approximately 3 meters high and emitted in a downward direction according to the directive guideline provided by the authoritives agencies. 

B320 LED bulkhead and 6760 compact LED batten as exhibited on right were respectively designed as an alternative to the traditional fluorescent ceiling light or weatherproof batten. In terms of appearance, B320 may be asthestically suitable for multi-storey commercial and residential buildings whereas 6760 could be recommended for industrial applications. Both series are similarily compatible for use as general lightings in terms of their luminous intensity. Howevre, standby power supply devices could be fitted inside the housing with power-charge indicator and test-switch attached onto the exterior of the fixture.
