Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating Course
STAA is the first third-party Flight Training Organisation (FTO) in Singapore to provide pilot training without affiliation to airlines offering a direct Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) Commercial Pilot Licence training course for aspiring pilots.
Upon successful completion of the 18 months course, you are eligible to apply for a CAAS CPL/IR which entitles the holder to exercise the privileges of a Private Pilot Licence and fly as a pilot-in-command of any aeroplane certified for a single pilot operation which is of an aircraft type specified in their licence.
STAA’s CAAS CPL/IR course incorporates the theoretical knowledge of an Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL), Instrument Rating (IR) and Multi-engine (ME) endorsement to equip STAA cadets with comprehensive skills to be in a better position when seeking employment with various aviation organisations.

Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating Course
This course is designed to meet the requirements of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) of Australia. STAA’s CASA CPL/IR is an integrated programme developed to train cadet pilots with zero flight experience to attain the necessary skills, knowledge and qualifications in preparation for an airline career.
The 70 weeks training is to be conducted by ST Aerospace Academy (Australia) Pty Ltd or STAA(A), a wholly owned subsidiary of STAA, located at Ballarat Airport in the State of Victoria, Australia.
The academy provides a practical and valuable learning experience to our STAA cadets with its acquired fleet of aircrafts equipped with full glass cockpit and an electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) modeled after actual aircraft parts.
Our ground school covers the following theoretical knowledge of Basic Aeronautical Knowledge (BAK), Aviation English, Private Pilot Licence (PPL) theory and Commercial and Pilot Licence (CPL) theory.
Upon successful completion of the course, each cadet is able to qualify for a Certificate IV in Aviation (Commercial Pilot Aeroplane Licence) and a Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Flight Operations).

Qatar Airways MPL Cadet Pilot Programme
As a one stop pilot training solutions provider, STAA will undertake the global recruitment and assessment of cadets on behalf of Qatar Airways, as well as customisation of training content for Qatar Airways’ operations. Cadets will undergo STAA’s MPL programme, leading to the award of a Multi-crew Pilot Licence (MPL) from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, for eventual employment with Qatar Airways as Airbus A320 Type Rated First Officers.
