Nursery Chinese For Beginners

Suitable for 3 -4 year old

Learning Content:

  • Introduction of common words such as fruits, sports, animals, family etc..
  • Step-by-step guidance on how to recognize simple Chinese characters for apple, watermelon, strawberry, banana and so forth.
  • Familiarization with the basic writing strokes that form Chinese characters.
  • Practise writing simple Chinese characters.
  • Develop communication skills using simple Chinese phrases.
  • Further improve conversational skills by learning how to describe pictures and thoughts in Chinese.
  • Participation in Chinese language games and other fun activities to learn various topics in Chinese.
K1/K2 Pre-School Chinese Language Programme

Learning Content:

  • Able to identify Chinese characters from interesting children's materials such as nursery rhymes, poems, riddles and songs.
  • Each lesson covers 30 - 60 Chinese characters. Children will learn to read 8 - 14 characters and to write 4 - 8 characters after each lesson.
  • Familiarization with basic writing rules.
  • Develop writing skills through learning Chinese writing strokes, character structure and sentence formation.
  • Practise Chinese calligraphy which will further improve their ability to write Chinese characters.
  • Comprehensive learning of han yu pin yin and how to pronounce each word clearly and accurately.
  • Improve communication skills through fun activities and games.
Primary 1
Learning Content:
  • Emphasis on han yu pin yin so that students at this level can use han yu pin yin with ease.
  • Following the lessons in school textbooks and making sure students are familiar with how to use the words in their textbooks.
  • Practise reading comprehension and learn techniques on how to improve in this area.
  • Practise common exam topics and questions.
  • Introduction of starter writing or picture writing which includes learning how to write a three-picture composition. Students will also get to know model answers and commonly used writing structures.
  • Practise listening comprehension.
  • Improve communication skills in Chinese.
Primary 2
Learning Content:
  • Following closely to the school curriculum, our lessons cover the words and characters that students need to know at this level. This helps students understand their school lessons better.
  • Students get to read articles of different styles and forms to improve their reading comprehension skills.
  • Practise common exam topics and questions which include familiarization with fill-in-the-blank questions, characters identification, word matching, word relationships, sentence formation, reading and comprehending short articles, news briefs and advertisements etc..
  • Intermediate level writing which includes learning how to use the Chinese language to fluently describe a frame of four pictures. At this level, students will also be introduced to idioms, proverbs and well-written phrases. Through these lessons, students will learn how to write good endings for their articles and improve their writing in general.
  • Improve listening comprehension skills.
  • Develop better communication skills in Chinese.
Primary 3

Intensifying Programmes For Secondary School Students
We design the Secondary School Programme based on the principle of 'Progressive Teaching'. This principle is based on 4 different areas: basic practice, extended practice, in-depth practice and additional practice.
