PROJECT FORWARDING
Pentagon has established offices at strategic locations for co-ordination and execution of all types of project handling and shipping worldwide.
Our project team based in London has over 25 years of project experience, anything from single movement / single site project to multiple movement / multiple site turnkey projects.
Pentagon's concept of project forwarding focuses on being a partner from the planning stage through to actual shipping and final delivery to site. A project team will be assembled to provide assistance and advise on route and site surveys, transport and carrier options, loading, stowage, stability etc. In addition, we are able to provide our customers with an online tracking system via internet where customs can access our web page for up to date reports on cargo planning and movements.
CHARTERING AIR AND SEA
With our intimate knowledge of the charter market and our contacts with ship owners, Pentagon has an up to date database of vessel and aircraft availablity. We are able to provide our clients with a choice of vessels / aircraft at competitive cost suited to their requirements.
Accordingly, Pentagon will:
- Source appropriate vessel / aircraft for the client's consideration.
- Negotiate best terms and price for the clients approval.
- Complete charter agreement on clients behalf.
- Full logistics and agency services including completion of all statutory requirements.
RIG AND WORK BOAT MOB AND DEMOB
Pentagon provides a complete "load out" and "demobilization" service for oil company's rigs, work boats and barges etc from Loyang Offshore Supply Base or private shipyards.
Our services includes:
- Vessel inward / outward clearance and documentation.
- Marine services i.e. berthing, pilotage, tugs assistance, water supply, rubbish disposal and chandler services.
- Pre loading and unloading planning and marshalling.
- Provision of cargo handling equipment.
- Management of supplier deliveries and communication.

WAREHOUSING
Pentagon provides both long and short term warehousing services at our facilities in Jurong and Loyang Offshore Supply Base. By being flexible and adaptable to our client's requirement, we are able to provide a comprehensive total warehousing solution to include:

PACKING SERVICES
Pentagon has a packing division that services our own in-house requirements as well as our customer's needs. We provide for all types of packing requirements including palletizing, slat crating, full boxing and skidding etc. For special projects, heavy and bulky cargo, our experienced staff are able to provide onsite consultancy and competitive quotation.INSURANCE
By necessity of our wide range of services, Pentagon is fully insured for all activities by the Through Transport Club of London. In addition, we have worldwide open marine policies and warehouse fire and theft insurance.
We are therefore, able to provide competitive insurance premium to all our clients on the basis of our comprehensive insurance contract.
Inland Trucking
Pentagon operates our owned fleet of vehicles of various capacity and specifications to service our transportation needs. Further requirement or special equipment are complimented by our contracts with transport contractors.
We have vast experience with all types or over sized, out of gauge or extreme heavy loads and dangerous goods. All operations of this nature are supervised by our experienced superintendents who will plan and execute the move from the begining to final delivery at site.
HAND CARRY
There are times when cost becomes a secondary issue due to an urgent requirement of some spare parts at remote locations.
Pentagon has staff who can be mobilised at very short notice for a hand carry situation.
GENERAL AGENCIES
Pentagon's Logistics division provides general ships agency services for all types of vessels from barges to supply vessels through oil rigs and general cargo vessels.
We are linked electronically with the Customs & Excise and Marine Port Authority department. Application and approval can be made without the need for physical presence at these departments. Other services includes:
- Crew change
- Pilotage and berthing services
- Stevedoring services
- Supply of provision, fuel and water
- Transport and accommodations for crews
CARGO INSPECTION AND SURVEY
Together with our overseas offices and agents, we are able to provide pre-inspection services at vendor's premises or upon receipt at designated warehouses for packing quality, weights, dimensions and quantities. For inspection of a more technical nature, it will be conducted in conjunction with qualified technical personnel.
In case of cargo damage in any part of the world, Pentagon can conduct cargo damage surveys independently or together with insurance surveyors and submit survey reports for clients perusal.
