Canopy Garden Dining & Bar 's lobster pomodoro, good food and a relax place !
Relaxing place in a garden for lunch. Lobster pasta quite good.
A unique dining experience in a peaceful garden setting providing the perfect getaway for families, couples and pet lovers.
I love the ambient at Canopy Garden Dining & Bar. It offers a unique dining experience in a peaceful garden setting providing the perfect getaway from the urbanized Singapore.
The Caesar Salad had romaine lettuce tossed with anchovy dressing topped with crispy bacon, poached egg, parmesan and crisp garlic toast. It was light, fresh and refreshing.
The Green Curry Pasta with Pepper Chicken came with linguine tossed with spicy homemade green curry sauce topped with peppered chicken, cherry tomato and fresh rocket. The fusion between Thai and Italian was interesting and nice. The pasta was very tasty with the green curry flavour. The Lobster Pomodoro was spaghetti tossed with lobster meat and rich vine tomato sauce. Lovely tomato sauce and nicely cooked pasta.
Down an assortment of Jager Bombs at $10 a bomb!
Have your weekend brunch amidst nature. The garden dining concept is a gratifying experience and your pets are more than welcome.
This is a lovely place to come for brunch! Despite the idea that it might be a tad expensive. I like how this place is so pet friendly. The atmosphere appears to be posh and has lovely scenery.
1) I had the ice chocolate - it tasted slightly diluted and felt like it was drowned in chocolate syrup; was not impressed.
2) Pancakes with a choice of strawberries or bananas. I picked strawberries - surprisingly they were not sour. Sugar was sprinkled over the pancakes. The pancakes were pretty fluffy but I\'ve had better at Mcdonald\'s.
3) The hashbrowns were very oily and more soggy then crispy.
Overall, as much as I love the atomosphere, I find that the food is really overpriced.
Spending: Approximately SGD 30(Lunch)
My sis came back from a business trip and she wanted to have some decent food when she landed on Singapore. So she asked me to join her for dinner but I couldn\'t leave my 2 dogs at home on their own or it will be a chaos. Ultimately, Canopy Garden Dining ring a bell and it was a perfect solutions as it is dog friendly restaurant! It is really dog friendly here, so no worries you can really bring your pets and they won\'t chase them out.
What Canopy Garden Dining serve is Asian Western fusion and their price tag range about $6 - $30.Prawn Paste Chicken Wings $7
Didn\'t really have the chance to try it as it is all in my sis\'s stomach.Chicken Satay Pizza $18
Must Have:Duck Pizza $20
Comparing the 2 pizzas, well I must say both are quite on par! Both are quite unique, also a better option then the usual Hawaiian Pizza! But I still prefer the Duck pizza which is much more refreshing because of the green on top! Surprisingly, the green on top enhance the taste of the pizza.
This place, is one of the place you will flavour and there\'s no doubt about it!
Caught up with my primary school friends at Canopy Garden Dining & Bar. I ordered the duck salad which was incredibly good! It has a deliciously peppery taste to it ayet goes so well with the salad although we normally consume it with duck rice. Indeed something I’ve never really seen before. I love their eggs benedict too! Great food! We took the outdoor seat which was very windy too!Spending: Approximately SGD 20
First time trying eggs benedict and i simply love it! not too heavy, just right for a nutritous breakfast! love the layout of the restaurant too. makes you feel so relax and you can really let down your hair to enjoy a good english breakfast there was also beautiful music played by the band!! good food, good ambience, good music coupled by good company, what more can you ask for! will definitely be back for more! do try it out if you have not! you wont regret it!
After coming upon a deal by Voucherwow, featuring Eggs benedict at just a price of $5.90, me and my friends decided to go and take the time off to enjoy ourselves in the midst of our exam period.
Canopy Garden Dining is set in the heart of Bishan Park II. Surrounded by lush greenery and plenty of fresh air. We opted for a table inside the air conditioned part of the restaurant. Inside, it was peaceful and serene, with a couple of others chilling with a drink and chatting with friends. It was a place with a great atmosphere for just relaxing.
After settling down, we ordered our Eggs Benedict. They had also wide selection of side kicks which you could add to your Eggs Benedict at a reasonable price. After chatting for awhile, our Eggs Benedict arrived! These pictures were taken using an iphone application. It captured the runny eggs perfectly.
The eggs were cooked at just the right timing as the yolks were runny and smooth.
The hollandaise sauce was tangy and buttery and added a twist to the muffin and eggs. The salad was crispy and delicious as well! We ordered a red date cake as dessert to finish it off with a tinge of sweetness.
All in all, we had a really great time there. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic evening and a day out with friends. And the eggs were superb!Spending: Approximately SGD 10(Tea)
Well if it isn\'t long overdue - the biggest ORTU gathering yet to be held at the Green Room - Canopy Garden Dining bar!
I was - well running late and lost - around the amenity, and finally after an hour prolly being late I arrived! I felt bad as the rest was all seated nicely.
Anyhow we had almost 8-9 serves with special cocktail mix including the chocolate sin. I forgot the name but THAT, was my favorite. it was just exactly like a peanut butter chocolate smooth milkshake, which the bartender explained to us its a specialty and popular amongst the ladies.
However the best out of the best was my favorites spaghetti and the italian meatball they go well together to complement the taste - the meatball was spicy and the pasta was light - don\'t have to worry on the curry, as the green curry is quite tasteless here but again it\'s tad spicy. Gives your tongue fireworks!
One more thing I liked for the taste but quite poor in presenting is the prawn mango salad. Taste wise is exceptional, but it would be better if it was served chilled - it was warm and leaves were a bit soft - I know I was late but for others prawn served cold gives a big difference nor the mango sauce! Talk about dessert as appetizer!Spending: Approximately SGD 25
The first dish that was served is the Mango Prawn Salad.Prawn + Mango + Salad. This is a really fantastic combination! I love this dish as I can taste the freshness of the prawn, the sweetness of the mango, and the crunchiness of the greens. The mango sauce is sweet with slight spiciness in it, and it kind of helped to open up my appetite. I love how fresh and juicy the prawn is, and the nata de coco and dies of mango mixture is an added goodness to this dish. Awesome much!
The second dish is the Apple Duck Salad. This name is really interesting! This salad has a lot of greens in it with various types of vegetables, and shredded apple. I love the sauce and the smoked duck in this dish. The sauce has bacon bits in it (I think), and the sauce tastes totally yummy! The smoked duck is delicious and the meat doesn\'t taste dry nor tough. This dish is a definite much try. I really recommend this, and of cos, I definitely recommend the Mango Prawn Salad too!
The third dish is Canopy\'s Asian Chicken Pasta. This pasta tasted really special to me. In this pasta, there are mangoes (but it tasted like green apples to me), tomatoes, and minced chicken topping. There is also a bit of spiciness in this dish which makes this dish like a combination of the western and eastern styles. It is a great combination, giving this dish an interesting taste.
Moving on, these are the Apple Smoked Duck Pizza (Left side) and Margherita Pizza (Right side). For Apple Smoked Duck Pizza, the smoked duck tasted like the one in the Apple Duck dish but the thing that is special about this dish is the wasabi sauce. Have you noticed the green sauce on the pizza? Yup, that\'s the wasabi but I think they mixed something to make the wasabi tastes slightly creamier and not as spicy. I think the restaurant wanted to create something that is suitable for people who can\'t really take spicy food.
For Margherita Pizza, this is like a vegetarian pizza. Nothing much to comment about this dish.
For the pizzas, I like how thin and well baked the pizzas are. You can see that the neither the crust nor the top is burnt! Healthy!
The next dish is the Green Curry Pasta.I got a little turned off when I saw the amount of oil in this dish. But when I try the meatball, whoolala, it tasted quite good and the meatball is not oily at all. The meatball has carrots and other stuffs in it but I think the yummy tomato sauce helped to add much flavour to this dish, so it is definitely a must to try the meatball together with the tomato sauce.
The last dish is the Bavarian Platter.Spending: Approximately SGD 40(Dinner)
Canopy is the newest addition to the Asmara Lifestyle Pte. Ltd. serving an new style cafe food.
Canopy, located within lush gardens of Aramsa Spa in Bishan Park that provides the perfect getaway for families, couples and pet lovers alike.
Had the pleasure of dining in this "wonderful" place on 8 April 2011 at 7.30 p.m.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Miss Priscilla, Marketing Executive of OpenRice Singapore for an invited taste test and Canopy Garden Dining & Bar for their hospitality.
It is not noisy on a weekday night during my visit.
The new Canopy Bar is the perfect place to lounge outdoors and enjoy with friends or share a plate of one of Canopy\'s specialties as nice food pics shown below:Comment: The duck was not bad.My rating -
Food: 7/10
Service: 7/10
Ambience: 9/10 (Great)
Nestled in the lush greenery of Bishan Park, the Canopy @ Aramsa houses not only 1 restaurant, by a vegan outlet -The Green Room, and a Spa - Asmara all upon its location.
Run by formal TV personality, Ms Jazreel Low, the CEO of Asmara Lifestyle group and open since 2007, I couldn\'t believe that I only came to know about the place this year.
A popular spot on weekends in this large park undergoing major revamp of what we heard include a river with water sports activities, The Canopy has a dedicated brunch menu as well as complete lunch and dinner menus, the location also boasts a Liveband for entertainment on certain days of the week as well as kids crafts for those who want to bring Junior on a weekend afternoon.
For starters, we had the Mango Prawn Salad - a cold fish with prawns perched on a soft bed of salad doused with mango sauce and mango cubes with nata de coco. The prawn was firm and tender, needless to say it went very well with the tangy mango.
We also had the Margherita Pizza, which was thin crusted and baked to perfection. Aromatic and not too salty, this one\'s a winner.
My favourite dish of the night was Canopy\'s Asian Chicken Pasta, maybe it\'s because I\'m biased towards things that tingle. I loved how the chilli worked up my appetite, and how the pasta was not overcooked. My friends and I also tried the Bavarian Platter which had an assortment of sausages with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut, I liked the sausages and I\'m sure any Male diner would. But the sauerkraut tasted a little off. Or rather I\'ve had better sauerkraut.
Another interesting dish was the Green Curry Pasta, nicely done and definitely creative, it came with a generous portion of green chicken which was lip smacking tender.
We also were treated to some cocktails, such as the lemongrass mojito and the sunday sundae, and another which tasted like a choco-tini, but with peanut butter innit.
To sum it up, The Canopy does have a wonderfully varied menu. It\'s a great place with the perfect ambiance, allowing guests a reprieve from the hurried daily lives of Singaporeans and the maddening crowds.Spending: Approximately SGD 30(Dinner)
If you think of it, a restaurant in a park… Is either you are lucky to locate it or you just have to walk from the starting point all the way to the end point to finally see it. We didn’t see any signage and we were in the mid point of Bishun Park. We were like left or right, we really didn’t want to head to the wrong direction and go mary-go-round. With the great invention of iphone which I am really thankful of I key in the postal code of Asmara Lifestyle. With iphone you just can’t get lost! We were 3 minutes away. Asmara Lifestyle is located behind the skating kiosk.
A really nice place to chill in the heartland area with live band and nature. I will definitely recommend this place for a night out! This is a place that you can propose to your love one too, romantic factor is there! Mango Prawn SaladApple Duck SaladI would say the apple duck salad appeal to me more as not many places offer duck salad. And the sauce of the duck salad has bacon in it, NICE!
Sinful Martini – chocolate and peanut butter combinationI LOVE IT! The bartender said it was popular among the ladies.
Canopy’s Asian Chicken PastaWe were starving by the time the first main course was served especially when it was around 9+pm – that explain why this picture show a partial version. It was chicken pasta but it tasted like tuna pasta because of the spiciness. If you don’t take spicy food, DON’T ORDER.
Commotion:
I felt real hot but not burning hot after finishing the pasta, so I requested one of the service staff to switch the air con on. There were 2 air cons in the room and 1 of the air cons at the back end of the room was switched off because the room was cold at the start. In the mid of our food testing, at the point in time where the live band performed the door was then slided to a side so that we could listen to the music too. The room temperature began to rise then and that’s why I requested the air con to be on. My request was granted. A moment later, the guy beside me felt that the wind from the air con was making his food cold as the fan panel of the air con is blowing in his direction so he requested to be off.
The staff was fed up, so he raised his voice at me; loud enough for the person seated in the front to hear it!
“Mdm, you want the air con on right!”
“Yes.”
“Now he want it to be off, is either you on or off it!.”
One of the Open Rice staff then came to my rescue.
“Can you make it swing”. – Meaning make the fan panel in swing mode.
“There’s no controller, is either you on or off it!”
The staff then walked to grab the brolly to aid him to press the off button reluctantly. This commotion really affect my mode of dining.
Margherita Pizza (left) & Apple Smoked Duck Pizza (right)If you are a fan of Hawaii pizza you will like Margherita pizza. Order Apple Smoked Duck pizza if you are looking for healthy element. Both pizza were delicious and because their pizza were thin crust.
Green Curry PastaI don’t take green curry so this dish is a big NO NO. The chef was inspired to make this dish because he just visited Thailand.
4 of the 20 Open Ricers skipped the Bavarian Platter and Italian Meatball as we can’t take beef. It will be a better experience if they are mindful of the fact that not everyone take beef. They should have standby at least few plates of the fish or chicken dish for those who can’t take beef.
Overall service standard:
Beside the commotion and the unthoughtful menu, I felt that they should have 2 more serving staffs to serve us. There were only 2 servers, food was served slow – they had 1 server to serve while another server held the tray of food to be served. So by the time they finish serving the last person, the person at the front would have already finish their food. My beverages were not top up frequently.
Under Asmara Lifestyle there’s Aramsa – The Garden Spa, Canopy – Green Dining And Bar, Club Med – Bintan Island SPA and lastly Greenroom – Cafe. We were at the Greenroom while having the Canopy menu.
I will still come back to this place to dine, just that I will be caution of the staff that I had commotion with if he serve me the next time round.

Besides, there\'s a SPA behind the restaurant so my friend and i were thinking ...hmmm..it must be a good place for RELAXATION !!!
Well , let\'s talk about the food ...
ALL the dishes were so delicious !!
I recommend one to try their Green Curry Pasta, it is not really CURRY as whati have thought initially, instead, the chef made good use of the spices and herbs to create the sauce.
The apple duck salad is another must try dish , a very good combination of fruit and meat ...hmm...CRUNCHY + TENDER
It is also a very good place for celebration to be happened here! beside, they also have live performance by thebands ! "Clap" Clap"

I had the privilege to be one of the first few to taste the upcoming new menu.
1)Mango Prawn Salad-appetizing with the heavyness of mango
2)Apple Duck Salad-more duck than the taste of apple
3)Margherita Pizza-awesome mixture of spices that give off the pizza\'s flavour
4)Apple Smoked Duck Pizza-i would opt for this when I want to eat something filling.
5)Italian Meatballs-comparable to that ones you get at Ikea.
6)Bavarian Platter-if you are into meat, this dish is for you!
7)Canopy\'s Asian Chicken Pasta(must-try and my favourite!0
8)Green Curry Pasta-brings me back to Thailand with the spiciness!!
The meal that was chosen had portions that were just right and I truly enjoyed the dining experience.
Thank you Open Rice and Canopy for the awesome experience!
I wish I had discovered this gem of a chiil out place with live band earlier!Spending: Approximately SGD 40(Dinner)
Canopy Garden Dining & Bar is located in Bishan Park, across Ang Mo Kio Ave 1. This place has a great and peaceful ambiance with a live band playing, quite often. Overall, it really gives a relaxing feel. A great choice to relax on a weekend night. We had dinner nearby this place and headed over for some drinks. I didn\'t feel like consuming any alcohol however, hence I took an ice chocolate. The manager was really nice as despite having closed the last order a few minutes before I placed mine, he still allowed me to have my ice chocolate. They also have other non-alcoholic beverages like fruit juices, coffee and mocktails.Spending: Approximately SGD 8(Other)
