A good place for gathering with friends and family gathering. Nice kaya toast and milk tea, if you like spicy food also can try their laksa!

Buttery kaya toast goes best with a cup of Kopi C in the morning!

I had Laska for lunch today at Coffee and Toast, located at Somerset TripleOne Somerset. Their Laska base is thick but I don’t like laska with thick Mee Hoon. The Mee Hoon have no taste at all. The preparation time is fast and their coffee is ok (depend on the person who brew the coffee).Spending: Approximately SGD 5(Lunch)

Whenever I knew that I was going to have a long day, I would avoid going to my regular Amoy hunt to da-bao.Though tons of cheap & nice food beckoned over there, it\'s no joke to be coated with a layer of "hawker-centre food" smell which would worsened as the day prolonged. And today was such a day. Thus I made a detour and walked towards Tanjong Pagar Xchange (just smacked right above the MRT Station) instead.The first "proper food" stall that greeted me was Coffee & Toast.I checked out the menu and decided to indulge in a bowl of laksa (takeaway).Spending: Approximately SGD 3.60

The cockles are fresh but I won\'t say that this is a good bowl of laksa.It tasted normal to me.The soup is really blend and tasteless (I think they kept adding water...might taste better if I have it for breakfast and not lunch).And the tau pok is abit on the hard side...didn\'t cook enough.I like my tau pok soft and squishy.Spending: Approximately SGD 6(Lunch)

One word - FAILURE The service is rushed and gruff - not sure why. There\'s no long queues? Convenient location. Wanted to have the Kaya buns but they ran out of buns. How can a place run out of what\'s on the menu before noon? Can\'t they just go and get more buns? Seriously! This running out of food on the menu nonsense is really annoying! Anyway, had the Kaya Toast since it\'s what they have. I think there was other stuff you can have on the toast but I stuck with the Kaya. Bad choice. The toast came out COLD. COLD toast? Puh-lease! So the butter can\'t melt because the toast is cold so it was sickening wating a slab of butter. And the kaya had NO kaya taste and was horrible. It was also horribly sweet. And the kaya was lumpy. No taste, too sweet, lumpy. There\'s no love here at all! The toast is DRY and flavourless. Just dried bread. Cardboard! And it cost more than most other toast places - other than Ya Kun which is pretty expensive too. Why do they have the gall to charge so much? Luckily there was no GST and SC ++ to annoy me further. NOT recommended. Waste of time and money

Normally it’s very crowded at lunch time here. If you are just takeaway drinks and bread, it should be fine. I’ve tried the Ice Milk Tea over there, it’s quite plain for me. The tea fragrance and taste is not that strong and the it’s not so sweet as the milk that added is not enough. They put too much ice in the glass also, it’s finished fast after a few slurp. I don’t really like their milk tea which it’s selling at $1.60. I’ve tried their butter kaya toast and its taste not bad. I like the kaya because it’s really taste homemade kaya. In terms of the kaya coloring, it’s really looks like cooked with pandan and it’s gives the very light green color to the kaya. The butter in between the bread is too small and tiny so its melt fast. I coun’t really bite on the butter either to taste the cold butter.Spending: Approximately SGD 4(Tea)

Would not recommend this place for the Kaya Toast. I went there wanting to have the Kaya buns but they were sold out. At 10am they sold out of food that\'s on the menu?? Come on! I really detest places which sell out of foods on the menu! Anyway so I had the Kaya Toast, which was BAD. It looks good in pictures but it tastes awful! First glance I thought it looked really good but once in my mouth it\'s really bad! The toast is COLD. Why?? They bring it to your table and it\'s cold. This makes the butter NOT melt - and it\'s sickening to eat a slab of unmelted butter! The kaya is NOT good. It\'s lumpy and rough! And didn\'t taste like kaya. It\'s VERY sweet but no kaya taste. The toast is DRY and flavourless. No fire taste at all. Just dried bread. The Kaya toast is more expensive than most other place - except for Ya Kun. Why? They are not better at all. Luckily there\'s no ++. Would not recommend this place. They have the usual stuff like coffee and tea and other types of Toast and the Kaya buns. Waste of time.
