I am be far not a mathematician by any means, but I'm sure there are plenty of “good” network marketing programs to choose from. But what about the criteria one uses to justify joining one?
It's a topic that I see is rarely discussed. So with your permission, here are the top 4 elements to examine, when looking to join a network marketing program.
1. Strong Mentor
A mentor is someone who has already accomplished what you want to accomplish, and is successful at doing it. These are people who do not sugar coat anything, and will tell you what you need to do in order to become successful. The person that brings you into the organization will become your mentor.
Make sure they can offer value in the amount of knowledge they can give you.
They have a good reason to help you., because the more successful you are, the more passive residual income they will make. If they don't offer value, DON'T join them.
Model individuals who have know how to market, and know how to present themselves to the world. At the end of the day, your success will come down to marketing and leadership.
That's why it is of extreme importance to seek out people in the industry who really know what they are talking about. It's definitely alright to have more than one mentor, because two heads are better than one. This brings me to my next point.
2. A Good Team
A good team can be defined as the coordination and effort, between two or more people, coming together in harmony, to attain a specific goal. In other words, it's the other people in the organization besides your mentor, that will be helping you grow. Your team or your “Mastermind” is an integral part of your development as a savvy business owner.
The fastest way to attain your goals, is to model people who are already successful themselves. Ask yourself these questions: are these people friendly? Do they have a lot of energy and positivity behind their voice? Are they leaders? Do they project confidence? Are they outgoing? If the answers to these questions are yes, proceed to the next step.
3. Life – Long Educational Programs
Make sure the program that you're thinking about joining offers long - term education and personal development. Having confidence in yourself is essential to becoming a good business owner. You won't be successful, if you look at yourself in a negative light.
At the end of the day, the most successful distributors will be masters of personal development, communication and relationship building. If the educational component is not their, then it will be extremely hard to reach your financial goals, unless of course you're extremely self- motivate.
Not only will a good educational program allow you become a better all-around human being, it will allow you to train others who come into the organization under you.
Remember: the more success your down line has, the more success you will have. Good Educational Programs also gives you the opportunity to learn how to sell. The majority of successful business leaders I know, know how to sell.
When I refer to this, I'm not just talking about selling products, I am also talking about selling themselves.
This “selling of yourself” or attraction marketing also teaches you leadership skills. There's a huge pot at the end of the rainbow if you stick with it. Wealthy and successful people don't work for monetary gain. They work to learn.
4. A Good System
A system is a standardized set of tools and instructions. This is where the true conflict arises. Do you want to join an organization that focuses on the traditional methods or methods that 99.9% of the world has no clue about? Or maybe both?
Before you do, make sure that you know what you want. I personally like to focus on using technology to grow my business, because of the awesome power of leverage. Technology can be very intimidating to some people. But once you learn it, it is like riding a bike.
That's why If the network marketing program you are investigating focuses on technology, an easy to follow system that is laid out, combined with end user support is very important. Whatever you choose, make sure that a well, clearly defined business plan, is already set in place.
At the end of the day besides all the planning, all of the mindset training and leadership, it all comes down to how well you market. He or she who markets the best, will build the strongest business.
I'm not even going to include my points on the product, because honestly it isn't really much of a factor as the above points discussed above. Don't get me wrong, representing a good product is nice, but the quality of the latest lotion, potion or pill will not help you or your business grow. Even so, just choose a product you feel proud of.
All of these components added together will cater to you attaining two key skills: Good Marketing and a Good Mindset.
Everything stated here should help in your advancement of becoming a better business person and a better all-around human being.
