Double check the locks on your windows and doors, along with hinges, to make sure that everything is working properly.

Get a home security system. Whether you prefer an actual security system or a timeless classic, the barking dog, having some type of warning system will help to deter potential burglars. A barking dog, an alarm or both can help to keep your family safe.
