However without a smart game plan, Traffic Exchanges can be a tremendous time waster. Use these 7 easy steps to quickly profit from your Traffic Exchange efforts.
1. Be Realistic
Traffic Exchanges are great sources of free visitors for your site. But you should be realistic about the quality of the visits that you will soon be receiving. A large portion of your visitors will be curiosity seekers who are not interested in your particular product at that moment.
However a good number of visitors will be curious about your product. To profit from these "warm prospects" you should make sure you have a solid plan for encouraging them to "raise their hand" for your product.
2. Be Patient
Don't get seduced by the idea of making a killing within minutes of signing up for a Traffic Exchange. I've seen many site owners give up because they hoped to sell their $99 product to a ravenous crowd that immediately wanted their product.
Traffic Exchange surfers are a savvy and educated group of consumers. While they ignore bold pitches, and outrageous claims -
They will happily provide their name and email address for a free report, booklet, or audio seminar. It is best to woo these prospects with good content provided at a "patient pace".
3. Focus on Building A List
"It's the list that matters nothing else". My first mentor drummed this into my head at every opportunity. And, it is excellent advice.
Remember this, the only guaranteed way to profit from Traffic Exchanges is to use your site to build a list of interested prospects. If you follow the tips in this article, you will build a list that will pay you a steady income for years to come.
4. Make it Simple
Studies show that web site visitors make a decision to stay or click away from a site within 3 seconds! In those three seconds, they quickly decide if they will do business with you. If you beat around the bush, you will lose the prospect.
So, have only one goal for the page that will be featured within the Traffic Exchange you choose. If you learned "Step 3", you already know that your goal should be "to build a list"

Every customer is hungry for information. In fact, offering solid, easy-to-understand, information is the only guaranteed way to hold your visitors attention long enough to make a sale.
Take the time to create a brief booklet or report that you can offer "free-of-charge" to prospects in exchange for their name and email address.
Your customers will appreciate the time you took to give them quality advice and they will reward you with their business.
7. Test, Test, Test
I suggest that you sign up for 3 or 4 traffic exchanges initially. Each traffic exchange is slightly different and offer various ways for you to earn credits that can be redeemed for site visits.
Once you select your Traffic Exchange, make sure that you watch your visitor traffic information. You will soon observe that one or two of the Traffic Exchange converts much better than the others.
Now, you have a guaranteed free traffic provider that reliably fills your prospect list with warm to hot leads. At this point, drop the poor perfoming Exchanges and focus your time on the winners.
